There was something going on that concerned Roman greatly. The angels had been keeping the undead in check for centuries, but now, they were rising more and more. He was starting to get concerned that there was a reason behind this, which is why he was where he was.

He was being escorted through the Underworld, named this because of its position under the mortal plane. He felt nervous with all the demons looking at him, eyes so piercing they chilled his blood.

You see, he wasn't here because he thought the demons of the Underworld were the cause of this. Neither the angels, nor the demons, were the cause of the undead rising. If they rose, they didn't go to heaven or hell, the Underworld or the Overworld. He knew that he couldn't be behind it, but he needed to discuss it with him to see what could be done. The angels were starting to get overwhelmed with the number of undead. They needed help.

So here Roman was, at the doors to his chambers. The two demons escorting him relieved themselves, leaving him standing there at the intimidating doors alone. He took a deep breath, reminding himself to stay composed. He pulled back his shoulders, lifted his chin, and knocked confidently.

He opened the door, that all too familiar smirk on his face upon seeing him. "Ah, Prince Roman of the Overworld," he greeted, opening the door wider. "Come on in, it is an honor."

Roman made his way confidently into the room, sitting down on one of the large black couches. Virgil was watching him with that smirk in place, making the angel's skin warm uncomfortably. "Can I get you anything?" he asked him as he walked over. Roman shook his head, so he shrugged and sat down on the red couch opposite him. "Well, what are you doing down here?"

"I think we both know why I'm here Prince Virgil," he replied formally. "There's been a drastic increase in the number of undead-"

"Whoa, whoa," Virgil cut him off with a chuckle. "You sound like Logan. Relax Roman."

The angel cleared his throat, something about the use of his name making his cheeks annoyingly warm. He couldn't understand why he wouldn't just focus on the reason he was here. "Prince Virgil, this is a serious matter," he told him sternly. "I request that you take it as such."

Virgil rolled his eyes. "Alright, alright, there's a lot of undead walking around," he said with a nod. "What does this have to do with me?"

"The Overworld's forces are being spread too thin," Roman explained. "I'm here to request assistance from the Underworld's forces."

Virgil pursed his lips as he thought it over. Slowly, his lips curled upwards in a slight smirk. "Alright, on one condition," he said, raising one finger.

"And what might that be?" he asked steadily.

The demon moved to the couch Roman was on, sitting directly next to him. The angel's breathing hitched significantly at the action as he looked him in the eye. Virgil's eyes were black with purple irises that seemed to stare into his very soul; perhaps they were actually doing so.

"For you to let me kiss you."

The prince of the Overworld looked at him in shock. He was lost for words to respond with as he stammered. "I-I..."

"Just one kiss, and I'll send as many of my demons as you need," Virgil said, leaning closer.

Roman bit his lip, not wanting to agree. Thinking of his exhausted and stressed angels working to fight the undead outnumbered, he nodded hastily. The demon smirked as Roman turned to look at him.

Virgil slowly leaned closer, slipping his hands to gently hold his face and neck as he pressed their lips together. It was slow and passionate, making the angel melt once again. When the demon pulled away, he smirked at the breathless and flustered angel.

"Bet you missed that didn't you?" he asked, making Roman look down at his hands as he nodded.

"How could I not?" Roman asked softly, looking up at him with a small smile. His eyes screamed 'I love you' though he didn't say it. "You're a damn good kisser Virgil."

The demon chuckled, leaning forward again. "What would you expect of the Prince of the Underworld?" he asked before connecting their lips again. Roman kissed back, letting his hands find Virgil's hair. When they broke away Roman smiled mischievously.

"For him to kiss me harder."
