《Sanders Sides One Shots: Volume 2 [COMPLETED]》A Date With A Famous Rockstar (Prinxiety)

Roman's POV:
To say I was nervous was an understatement. Who wouldn't be nervous to go on a date with Virgil Black? He's a world famous, alternative rockstar, who happens to be one of the biggest heart throbs of today's musicians; and somehow he'd taken an interest in me of all people.
I fidgeted, smiling a little to myself as I remembered the concert I'd met him at. Patton had insisted I accompany him and his boyfriend to a concert with them for the band known as Anxious Storms, Malicious Roses. I didn't know any of their music or anything about them, other than the fact that Logan and Patton used to be friends with the lead singer. That night Virgil Black smiled at me, winked at me, and held my hand as he sang to me during the love song of the set. I was absolutely smitten by the end of the show, dashing toward the stage door to talk to him afterwards. I didn't think he'd actually want to go out on a double date with Patton and Logan with me as his plus one, but today was the day.
We were told to meet him at Disney's Magic Kingdom at 10:30 AM sharp, and it was currently 10:27 AM. I was pacing, a nervous wreck as we waited for Virgil Black to show up. "What if he was just pranking us?" I asked the other two, feeling my heart racing. "I'm such an idiot, why did I think he'd actually want to go out with me?"
"Roman, he'd never do that," Patton reassured, leaning into his boyfriend with a smile. "You're just nervous cause it looks like he's going to be late, but you just need to take a deep breath and calm down. He'll be here!"
I tried to nod, still anxious as I waited for my date to show. It was just about to turn 10:30 when a voice called out. "Hey Princey!" My eyes widened as I turned around, seeing Virgil Black wearing normal clothes and way less makeup jogging toward me. He had a grin on his face as he stopped in front of us. "Hey Roman, it's good to see you again."

"Y-Yeah, you too," I managed, smiling nervously. He chuckled a little at my response before greeting the other two and giving Patton his desperately wanted hug.
"I've been looking forward to this for weeks," Virgil said as he turned to me, smiling. "Where are we heading to first? What's your favorite ride here, Roman?"
I flushed, not being prepared for this rockstar to be so genuinely human. It felt strange, seeing him in this environment, with me and the people I know, in a place I grew up going to. He was speaking to me as his equal despite the fact that he was so far above me. "I really love The Little Mermaid ride," I say before I can stop myself. My eyes widened as I slap my hand over my mouth, face red with embarrassment. I just told Virgil Black my favorite ride in the Magic Kingdom was The Little Mermaid. Not Space Mountain or The Haunted Mansion; The Little Mermaid. Nice going Roman, you're appearing like a real manly man in front of your date here.
"That ride's great, although Patton forgot to eat breakfast, so why don't you two head down there and we'll meet you at Peter Pan?" Logan suggested with a slight smirk.
I realized too late what he was doing as Virgil nodded and grabbed my hand, pulling me toward Fantasy Land. Despite the fact that I clearly knew where to go, he didn't let go of my hand as we walked. He was laughing and grinning at me, clearly very happy for some reason. "I haven't been here in years," he explained as we got in the shell car of The Little Mermaid. "That and it's been a long time since I've been on a date with someone as sweet and handsome as you, so I'm really excited."
I blushed, smiling bashfully. "Well, thank you," I replied. "I've never been on a date with a rockstar before, so I'm a little nervous."

"Aw you shouldn't be nervous around me," he said, squeezing my hand, which I realized he handed let go of. I smiled again as we faced forward to watch the ride. As our car moved through the ride, I sang along to the memorable songs of one of Disney's classic princess films softly. Virgil noticed, grinning at me his jaw hanging open. "You didn't tell me you could sing!"
I shrugged a little, feeling embarrassed. "I mean, I can't sing like you, but I guess I'm alright," I say in response as he shakes his head in disbelief.
Once we got out of the ride, we started heading toward Peter Pan when Virgil suddenly gasped and tensed up beside me. I stopped, looking at him in concern as he breathed rapidly. "Are you okay?" I asked worriedly.
"There's- There's fans heading our w-way, if they spot me th-they'll swarm me," he stammered, shaking slightly.
I followed his gaze forward, spotting the group of teenagers wearing his band's merchandise. Virgil's reaction confused me; I could understand being uncomfortable or annoyed with too much fan interaction in public, but he seemed like he was about to break down in a panic attack. I snapped out of my daze, pulling him firmly by the hand toward a shaded alley way between the building structures. When you've been here as many times as I have, you've been in every nook and cranny. I gently pushed him against the wall, putting a finger to his lips to tell him to stay quiet as the kids passed.
Once they had, I sighed in relief, pulling away to give him more space. He was staring at me in shock, eyes wide and mouth slightly open. "You okay?" I asked again. He nodded a little, flinching as he looked away. "What... what happened?"
"I know... I know it seems like I'm this cocky, confident, untouchable rockstar," Virgil said quietly as he hugged himself. "But... it's all a front... I can't let people know how scared I am so I overcompensate it with over-the-top enthusiasm that isn't even who I am... but people like it, so I keep up the act... but sometimes I just can't, and I freak out, and now you know. I'm not some super amazing rockstar guy, I'm just a scared freak who took on way more than he could handle and has to put up with it anyway..."
My heart clenched at the fear and despair in his voice. It hurt to see him this vulnerable, when I could tell he didn't do vulnerable if he could help it. "Hey..." I said quietly to get his attention. He looked up at me with sad eyes. "Come here..." I pulled him into a tight hug, running my fingers through the strands of his hair on the back of his head to calm him down. "You don't need to put up that front around me, alright? I know we've only really talked twice so this may seem really weird, but I really care about you and whether or not you're okay."
"I can tell," he said into my shoulder with a smile in his voice. "I could tell when I first saw you that you were someone I wanted to get to know and trust."
I smiled as I held him for a few moments longer. After those few moments, he pulled away with a deep breath, giving me a shaky, yet still dazzling, smile. I gave an encouraging one back before he leaned forward and pecked me on the cheek. I gasped as he stepped away, pulling me by the hand as if nothing happened.
"Come on, we've got to go meet Logan and Patton!"

Toothpick
“Hello! My humble audience! I, the Bard of the North, am going to tell you a tale. Nothing new, nothing old. A story of a hero, some may say, others a poor boy who was hated by the world.” The storyteller paused as he waited, right timing was everything when telling a story. Pacing… Too slow and the audience became bored then left without tossing even the smallest of coins. If he spoke too fast and rushed the story. It would leave the audience confused and having no reason to be impressed. So like any good storyteller, the Bard has to do a balancing act of sorts. Not too slow, not too fast. Just perfectly in the middle. “In a shattered country in the south, a novice princeling has the ambition to mend a torn tapestry that is his birthplace. Struggling to fend off those who would usurp the throne in an unending civil war spanning centuries. A mercenary that left only death in his wake, unable to stave off the monotony and peace of life. He looks back at the path laden with bodies, wondering if it was all worth it. Wandering souls summoned by a madman, travel away from a wasteland in a foreign land, the first alone, the others as companions. A deity, ancient in her years, waiting to be freed from a duty she no longer enjoys. For all these people and their stories, none are the hero of this tale. No, the hero is not grand, not wise, not ready.. he was punished for nothing of his doing, who was an outcast that was unloved by many, including his father.” This was always the big reveal novices use to jump off into their story. He did not start here, instead, like any good fishermen, he set the bait and waited until the fish bit before pulling. As he saw the audience's eyes focus, he then started the backstory. The harness, that stopped the listeners from having metaphorical whiplash. The foreshadowing. “But that is not where the story starts. No, not even the hero's birth. Where the story begins, is the boredom of the deity, a deity many know of. She who hunts for the impossible, the guide for those who have lost the path, the Huntress of Mallon--” A small pause, a short breath. “--All old names for a single powerful being that has roamed the grounds of this continent longer than any line of kings or queens, lords or ladies. A being of worship for many an individual…” One last breath. And he began singing the first verse.
