《Sanders Sides One Shots: Volume 2 [COMPLETED]》A Teddy Bear and a Tender Kiss (Prinxiety)

Virgil never had anyone to comfort him when he first appeared in the mind. The other Sides found his presence... less than ideal. If he was upset, they never knew about it. This was primarily because he knew they wouldn't care; well, maybe Patton would've, but he couldn't possibly have known at the time.
Because of his loneliness and lack of physical comfort, the anxious Side created teddy bears for him to hug during his attacks or whenever he was sad. He'd made three of them, unintentionally making them to represent his fellow Sides. Having not been friends with them at the time, he dressed each other them up as their respective Side and pretended they were his friends. This had all happened when he'd recently joined Thomas' personality, around middle school. Now, he felt ridiculous looking back at them, but couldn't bring himself to get rid of them. They were still special to him, especially his favorite one in particular.
Occasionally, he'd take out said favorite bear, which was dressed with a red sash and a gold crown. He'd made that bear first, having developed a massive crush on the prince within the first meeting, though he'd never admit it. He could see immediately that Roman wasn't interested in him, and gave up any hope right off the bat. Virgil had shoved his feelings back for so many years that now it came as a surprise that he found himself blushing at a comment Roman had made about his new look.
"God, this is embarrassing," he said to himself as he pulled it out of his closet, smiling a little to himself. "You'd think I'd be over this by now, but here I am again..."
Virgil hugged the prince bear, thinking about what he'd said, a larger smile spreading across his lips as he giggled a little. He backed up to his bed, pulling out his laptop to watch some Disney movies. He often did that when something Roman said made him flustered, usually daydreaming about what it would be like to cuddle with the prince. Little did he know that on that day, his dreams would come true.

The anxious Side had been hungry, thinking the other Sides were filming with Thomas, or outside of the mind when he got up to get a snack. He'd left his door wide open, because the only reason he closed it was to keep the others from getting curious. So he was in for a shock when he'd later realize Roman hadn't been gone.
The prince was walking down the hall looking for him when he saw the black door open. It was almost unnerving if he was honest.
He never leaves his door open... he thought. Should I take a peak inside? I don't know. It's probably really rude of me if I did. Yeah, I probably shouldn't.
Roman didn't know why he'd let himself do it, but he went inside despite his thoughts. He looked around in awe of the dark purple room, smiling at how Virgil it was. Something wasn't though. An odd spot of light in a room of shadows. A white teddy bear, dressed with a red sash and a gold crown.
"Huh?" he murmured as he picked it up to inspect it. "It's like, a bear version of me?"
There was a soft gasp from behind him and the thud of something falling to the ground. Roman turned to see the anxious Side standing in the door way, having dropped a pair of unopened chocolate bars. His hands were covering his mouth and his face was bright red as he saw the bear in the prince's hands.
"What's this about?" he asked with a chuckle as he held it up more clearly.
"I t-thought you had a meeting today!" Virgil cried as he rushed forward, trying to steal the bear back. The prince held it above his head with a laugh. "Come on, g-give it back!"

Roman shook his head. "Not until you tell me why you've got a stuff bear dressed as me," he retorted with a grin.
"It's cause I have a stupid crush on you, I always have! Now give it back and leave me alone," the anxious Side snapped, tears shimmering in his eyes.
He let go, giving it back to him as he looked at him in shock. "Wait, you've had a crush on me?"
"Y-Yes, you don't need to rub it in my face," Virgil muttered hiding under his black blankets as he curled up.
The prince didn't quite know how to react at first until he realized the other Side was under the impression he wasn't interested. "I wasn't going to, I actually... I've had a crush on you for a while too," Roman admitted bashfully.
The anxious side pulled down the blankets, glaring at him. "You don't need to lie to me to spare my feelings," he snapped. "Deceit got your tongue?"
"What? No! I actually have a crush on you!" he exclaimed, taking his hand in his. This made Virgil's eyes widen as he looked down at the contact. The prince's cheeks warmed as he stammered nervously. "S-So could I take you out on a date some time? If you want?"
He looked him right in the eye. "You're serious? You're not messing with me?" the anxious Side asked quietly. Roman nodded, causing a tiny shy smile to form on his lips. "Okay, then I guess we've got to set up a date then?"
The other Side smiled, pulling away and going to exit the room. "I'll take you out for ice cream outside the mind this evening," he declared, bowing as he stood in the doorway. "I hope the bear makes up for my absence until then, as I'd like to prepare for this arrangement."
Virgil giggled a little, standing up as he was about to leave. "Wait you forgot something!"
"What-mmf!"
Roman was cut off by the anxious Side pressing his lips to his briefly and softly. "O-Okay, now you can go get ready!" he said quickly, shoving him out of his room. The prince whines from outside the door about wanting more kisses, but Virgil didn't cave. "Go get ready Princey, or you won't get any kisses for the next three days."
He chuckled as he heard the sound of him running down the hallway toward his room.
