《Sanders Sides One Shots: Volume 1 [COMPLETED]》Hypnotic Love (Prinxiety)

Virgil was taking a stroll through the dark side of Thomas' mind, feeling unnervingly more at home there. He didn't like it, and he didn't like to admit it, but he was a Dark Side. It wasn't something he could change, but it was something he could choose not to behave as. Besides that, he felt like his thoughts were more collected when he was here, and something was definitely on his mind.
"Well, someone looks like they're having fun."
Virgil sighed heavily at the familiar voice. "I'm not really in the mood for your b.s. right now, Deceit," he muttered as he kept going. The snake-like Side faked offense as he fell in step with him.
"I'm so offended Virgil! We used to be friends!" Deceit said, pretending to look hurt. "In fact, we were more than friends! Don't you remember?"
The snake-like Side reached out to take his hand but Virgil immediately ripped it away, glaring at him as they stopped. "Don't even start with me, you snake," he snapped, shoving his hands into his pockets as he kept walking.
"Ouch, geez," Deceit said, scowling. "Never mind that, what's got you all frustrated?"
"Like I would tell you," Virgil replied, not looking behind him.
The snake-like Side smirked, already figuring it out. He leaned against a tree smugly. "Prince has got you hot and bothered," he stated, watching him stop in his tracks. He chuckled, voice deep as Virgil looked at him. "I'm correct I see."
"S-Shut up..." the anxious Side muttered, clenching his fists.
"Aw, my Chemically Imbalanced Romance has a crush!"
"DON'T CALL ME THAT!" Virgil yelled, feeling rage surge through him at the pet name. "Don't... don't call me that..."
Deceit looked surprised at his sudden out burst, narrowing his eyes. "Doesn't Roman call you that now?" he questioned. "Why would it bother you so much if the original person who came up with the name use it?"
"Why the hell do you think, Deceit?" he replied, voice venomous. He sounded like the name was disgusting on his tongue as the skin on his throat tingled with past feelings.

The snake-like Side snickered. "Please, don't act like the others were all sunshine and rainbows to you, Virgil," he retorted. "Your precious Princey despised your presence until late, and he'll never return your feelings."
"You don't think I don't know that..." Virgil muttered, turning away.
"I have a way."
The anxious Side laughed. "You think I'm stupid enough to listen to you? You'll probably trick me into kill him, or myself, not that I'd mind that last one too much," he replied.
"Not funny, Virgil," Deceit said, deathly serious. This surprised him a little, but the snake-like Side continued before he could comment. "I'm serious. Have you ever heard of hypnosis?"
"Yes?" the anxious Side replied, looking confused.
Deceit pulled out a small crown, smiling mischievously. "This is an enchanted crown, well, cursed really, but besides the point. If you get your prince to put it on, and say 'he loves me', it'll make him fall in love with you," he explained. "Get sick of him, and say 'he loves me not'. The spell will undo itself and he'll have no memory of anything after the spell started."
He handed it to Virgil, who stared at the little gold crown. "No, I can't use this," he said, shaking his head. "It's wrong."
"Come on, Virgil! Just try it out! You don't have to use it more than once, or do anything you're not comfortable with, but if you like it then," he trailed off with a shrug. "Just try it."
The anxious Side said nothing as he stuffed the crown into his pocket and headed back to the Mind Palace without another word to Deceit. Once there, he took out the crown. He couldn't stop staring at it. Should he? Just once, to see what it was like?
"Oh! Greetings Hot Topic!"
Virgil looked up, heart racing as he saw the prince walking toward him. "Where'd you get that?" he asked curiously. The anxious Side panicked and lied quickly.
"The Imagination, I got it for you," he said hastily, handing it to him. Roman looked surprised and confused, but he smiled as he took it. "It's a peace offering, I guess, seeing as we've stopped fighting and stuff."

The prince smiled wider as he put it on his head. "I love it! Thank you, Virgil-"
"He loves me."
Roman stopped talking mid sentence, blinking a few times. They refocused on the Side in front of him and widened. A smile formed on the prince's lips as he knelt down to take Virgil's hand and kiss his knuckles. A blush formed on the anxious Side's cheeks as he gasped.
"Why, greetings my Chemically Imbalanced Romance," he said flirtatiously, as he stood back up. His hand found Virgil's cheek as he flashed a smile.
"U-Uh, hey Princey," he replied nervously.
Roman smiled again at him, loving and affectionate. "What does my love want to do today?"
"Um... why don't we watch movies in my room?" Virgil suggested, uncomfortably.
The prince nodded and took his hand. He laced their fingers together and began pulling him toward the emo nightmare's room. Once inside, Roman set up a movie while Virgil watched him from the bed. He felt... weird. He felt even weirder when the fanciful Side sat down next to him. When he wouldn't stop staring at the prince, he thought he caught onto something.
"Would my love like a kiss?" he asked flirtatiously.
Virgil blushed and stared at his hands. He was involuntarily leaning toward him as Roman moved closer. Before their lips could meet, the anxious Side pulled away and stood up. "I-I can't do this, he loves me not!" he exclaimed.
Roman blinked a few times before scowling. He looked around at the room, confused. "Wait, when did I get here?" he asked until his eyes landed on Virgil, who was shaking as he sniffled. He was backing away from him, making the prince worried as he stood up. "Is something wrong?"
"I-I d-did something s-stupid and t-terrible," he said as he began to cry. "I'm no better than that snake!"
The fanciful Side rushed to him, putting his hands on his shoulders. "Whoa, whoa, Virgil, breathe! What did you do that was so terrible?"
Virgil snatched the crown off of Roman's head, showing it to him as tears dripped down his cheeks. "T-This isn't a n-normal c-crown! It's enchanted! If I say, 'he loves me' to the person wearing it, he becomes hypnotized to be in love with me until I say, 'he loves me not'!" he explained, letting the prince take it from him to look at. "I u-used it on you! God, you almost k-kissed me! What's wrong with me?! I'm so sorry!!"
The prince should've been mad; he should've been outraged that he would manipulate his feelings. However, Roman didn't feel mad. He felt sad as Virgil cried in front of him, clearly feeling guilty for using the crown, even if it was only for a few minutes. He felt happy, because the fact that he'd tried to use to the crown in the first place meant he liked him, and the fact that he'd stopped them before doing anything like kissing or otherwise meant that he actually liked him. He wasn't just trying to get in his pants, or take advantage him.
"Virgil, I forgive you," Roman said with a smile, shocking the crying Side. He looked confused and scared. "No real harm was done, I mean, you stopped me from doing anything serious based on your reaction, and you're clearly just trying to work through your emotions."
The emo nightmare stared at his feet as he nodded. The prince got an idea. He smiled and used his hand to gently tilt Virgil's face up to look at him. "Might I suggest a different method of doing so?" he said smoothly as the anxious Side flushed. "Try asking me on a date. It does wonders for the heart."
