"WELL CUPHEAD AND HIS PAL MUGMAN, THEY LIKE TO ROLL THE DICE!!"

Virgil and Logan both sighed heavily as Roman sang the song played at the title screen of the game infamously known as Cuphead. The prince had been watching YouTube videos of the game play nonstop since its release, and now he was finally getting to try it out. The two Sides looked at each other, smirking. They'd already tried it themselves, and knew of the anguish Roman was about to go through.

"First swear, Roman, Hilda Berg, 'Threatenin' Zeppelin', first phase," Logan said, straightening his glasses confidently. "You have to do anything I dare you to."

Virgil's eyes widened as he smirked. "You're on. Roman, Rippy and Croaks, 'Clip Joint Calamity', third phase."

They shook on it as Patton came bouncing into the room, singing with Roman. "BY CHANCE THEY CAME ON DEVIL'S GAME AND GOSH THEY PAID THE PRICE!" the two of them sang happily. "PAID THE PRIIIIIIIICE! AND NOW THEY'RE FIGHTING FOR THEIR LIVES ON A MISSION FRAUGHT WITH DREEAAAD! AND IF THEY PROCEED BUT DON'T SUCCEEEEEEEEDD..."

They paused, Roman saying the next line dramatically. "WEEEEEEEEELLLLL...."

"THE DEVIL WILL TAKE THEIR HEADS!" they finished, running around the living room in excitement. Virgil and Logan just rolled their eyes watching their significant others affectionately.

"Come along my trusty Mugman! We've got a date with the Devil!" Roman said, striking a pose and talking in an old cartoon voice.

Patton giddily posed next to him. "Let's go Cuphead!" he yelled happily as they continued running around the room, pretending to be their respective characters.

"Would you two just place the game already?" Virgil complained, rolling his eyes yet again.

The two of them gasped in realization, both grabbing their controls and immediately sitting down. Logan and Virgil knew all too well that they wouldn't stay sitting for long. The two right brain Sides started up the game, both freaking out as the introduction book opened. They excitedly made it through the introduction and tutorial, beginning their first run and gun level with high expectations. They were not met...

"I died!?! How did I die!?" Roman exclaimed.

"I'll revive you!" Patton exclaimed, jumping up to revive him but dying as well. They both froze before they busted out laughing. The first level continued like that for some time, the two of them dying over and over again, occasionally successful in their revive attempts. They made almost to the end when Patton died again. "Aw! I died again! I'm terrible at this..."

The Dad-like character frowned in disappointment, making Roman immediately react. "Fear not my trusty companion! I shall save you!" he exclaimed. He revived him, dying in the process. "Go on without me, Mugman! You can do it!"

He dramatically fell over like he was dying, making the moral Side giggle. "Okay! I won't let you down, Cuphead!" he replied, focusing as he dodged through the last section of the level.

"BRAVO!" the screen flashed as he crossed the red flag.

Patton gasped, the biggest smile the other three had seen that day spreading across his face. "I DID IT! I DID IT!! DID YOU SEE THAT?!" he yelled, jumping up and down. The other three Sides couldn't help but smile at his joy, pride flaring in Roman's chest that he'd successfully cheered him up.

"Yes!! You did it, Patton!" the prince agreed with a wide smile on his own face. "Now let's go fight a boss!"

The two of them successfully cleared 'Ruse of an Ooze' and 'Botanic Panic' without any major issues. Virgil smirked confidently as they headed for 'Clip Joint Calamity' next. Logan didn't look fazed though the other two started to get riled up. About thirty attempts later, they made it to the third stage, where the two frogs combined into a slot machine. Roman successfully parried the crank to start the slot machine. They got the tiger attack, and the anxious emo knew he'd won.

"Oh my- what the hell is this shit!?!" Roman yelled as they were both killed. Logan sighed heavily as Virgil gave him a smug look.

"What's my dare?" the intellectual asked, straightening his glasses.

He smirked evilly. "Go over and use a dirty pick up line on Patton," he said, nodding to him. Logan's eyes went wide as his face flushed, but he recovered quickly. He nodded and stood up, approaching his boyfriend. He leaned in and whispered something in his ear that made Patton's whole face go bright red. He started giggling as he swatted at him, voice squeaky as he told him not to say stuff like that. Virgil scowled, confused. "Whoa, what? I said-"

"To use a dirty pick up line on Patton," Logan repeated. "You never said I had to say it so that you could hear it."

Virgil huffed in annoyance as he sunk into the sofa, watching the other continue playing Cuphead. Logan looked so smug the anxious Side wanted to smack him. He grumbled as he shot him another triumphant look at his dissatisfaction.

"I don't like you at the moment."
