Virgil's POV:
I was met with a bright flash as I stepped through the door. My jaw dropped as I looked around me in awe. This wasn't exactly Princey's room, but more of a separate version of it he could change it to. We were in the mindscape after all, and he was Princey, Creativity. The area around me was not his room; it was a gorgeous garden. There was so much foliage around the stone pathway, and so many colors. There was more to it than just flowers as well. I noticed trees of all types creating the perfect scene everywhere I looked.
Finally, my gaze fell to the floor, spotting the final book I'd been missing, "Snow White". I nervously unfolded the note. My heart caught in my throat as I read the small phrase.
"You're the fairest of them all, I won't complain if for you I fall."
I felt my heart racing as I turned it over find the three words I never thought anyone would ever say to me.
"I love you."
Oh my god... I ran my fingers through my hair as I nervously tried to make a decision. Did I risk getting hurt, and keep going to most likely meet Roman waiting for me? Or did I turn around right now, and let my self preservation take over?
There were so many outcomes to this scenario, and one bad judgement or slip up on my part could have a horrible affect on it. Did I take that risk?
I took a deep breath. I made my decision.
Roman's POV:
I was shaking like I was in a walk-in freezer. I had no idea what was going to happen. Maybe my arrows hadn't been enough for him to find all the books! Maybe he didn't come into my room! Maybe he did, picked up the book, and turned right around and left! Maybe he ignored the notes! Maybe he doesn't like me back! Maybe he thinks this is prank! I was freaking out, okay?!

I twirled the purple rose in my hand nervously I needed to take deep breaths. Calm down Roman, everything will be fine! I'm sure it will! I don't have any doubts at all!
I froze as I heard footsteps. My breathing picked up again as I turned to face the path. Virgil slowly approached, his expression unreadable. I felt fear shooting through my veins, more intense than any time I've fought monsters. He stopped in front of me.
"G-Greetings Virgil," I managed as I took the rose from behind my back and gave it to him. He looked at it in shock before taking it from me. He didn't say anything which was putting me on edge. "I-I s-see you got my n-notes-"
"Did you mean it?"
I was caught off guard by the sudden question. I hadn't heard him properly. "Apologies, w-what?"
"Did you mean it?" he asked, looking up from the flower to meet my eyes.
I felt my face flush as I thought about everything I was about to say. "Y-Yes, I did Virgil," I said softly. I looked at the ground as I continued nervously. "I-I really do love you, I mean, you're so amazing... how could I not fall for you? I'm only worth something because you're here. Without you, I-I have no meaning... and you drive me crazy because I'm supposed to be the strong prince, but around you, I'm weak. I can't even try to resist my feelings... This... this is terrifying, and I wasn't sure if I was ready yet, but I can't keep it a secret anymore. Every time you're near me, my heart races. Every time you look at me, my heart jumps. The few times we touch my skin feels like fire. It's like you're suffocating me, but I'm still breathing. It's like I'm drowning but I'm dying of thirst. It's like- it's like..."

I trailed off as I looked back to meet his eyes, which were watching me closely. His mouth had fallen open slightly. "It's like love Virgil," I finished. "I know these feelings. I know me. This only happens to me when I'm in love..."
He said nothing for a moment before taking a step toward me. I hesitantly took a step back, fear driving me. His silence was terrifying. He continued to walk toward me, face unreadable. I kept backing away until he had me backed up against one of the pillars in this little out clove of my garden. He placed a hand on my cheek as I stammered, "U-Uh- V-Virgil-?"
He cut me off. "Just tell me if this is okay," he murmured leaning forward. I felt his lips brush mine, sending sudden chills down my spine as my breathing hitched. His voice was a whisper. "Can I kiss you Roman?"
I nodded, sighing as he gently pressed his lips to mine. I was completely out of control. His lips were so soft, and slightly chapped, but I loved it. They tasted slightly like dark chocolate too, making me melt even more. How was this emo nightmare so perfect?!
He leaned into me a little more, seemingly wanting more from the kiss. I kissed him back, matching his movements and force until he finally broke away. His eyes slowly met mine as I smiled breathlessly at him. He returned it hesitantly before speaking softly.
"It's like I'm flying even though I'm falling for you."

A Wheel Inside a Wheel
Two brilliant young me, Reinhard von Musel and Yang Wen-li, are forced to flee the countries of their birth and become refugees on opposite sides of a century long galactic war. While they both struggle to adapt to their new lives, their obvious talent propels them to the forefront of the war. Their choices will shape their adoptive homelands forever, and their clash will decide the future of the galaxy. This story is broken up into volumes, each following one half of the conflict. You can read them in chronological order, or you can follow just Yang or Reinhard. See individual descriptions below. Part One - Speaking in Tongues When Yang Wen-li’s father dies, the only thing that he inherits is a mountain of debt, which can only be paid off with fifteen years of his life. Wanting to escape that indentured servitude, Yang flees his homeland and takes up a false identity in the Galactic Empire, a hyper-stratified society where stepping out of line is punishable with imprisonment or death. Yang enrolls in the Imperial Officers’ Academy to study history, but despite his unusual and unmistakeable talent as both a tactician and a scholar, his classmates resent him for being a visible outsider. When tensions at the school boil over and several of Yang’s classmates attempt to murder him, Yang finds an unlikely ally in the top student in the class: the aloof Oskar von Reuenthal. But Reuenthal and Yang both have secrets, secrets which could destroy both their lives and their newfound friendship.
