《Carmen Sandiego 2019 One-Shot Book》The Gang Reacts to the Fandom Part 1

There were a chorus of screams. And the entire cast of Carmen Sandiego fell into a theater. Carmen, Zack and Ivy were the first to get up. Though, Carmen had a hard time since she was still recovering from Coach Brunt's death hug, but Ivy and Zack helped her up.
EVERYONE was there. Tigress, Le Chèvre, El Topo, Coach Brunt, Shadowsan, Dr. Bellum, Countess Cleo and Professor Maelstrom. And of course, Chase Devineaux, Julia Argent and Chief.
"Ughh....where are we?" Ivy asked, Carmen's gaze focused on her surroundings.
"Looks like....some sort of...movie theater..?" Carmen said, her grey eyes searching for more things that could give her a better idea of where they are. Then, she found a note on the ground in front of her. She frowned, picking the piece of paper up.
She unraveled it, seeing that it was an anonymous note to...her?
Le Chèvre, El Topo and Tigress were full on staring at her. Even if she wasn't looking at them, she can feel the looks of anger being shot at her.
"Black Sheep." Carmen looked up from the note and found the whole faculty staring at her. But it was Dr. Bellum who said her old name.
Carmen glared at them. "Y'know, I really hate that name. It reminds me of how naive I was back then to realize what the Villains' International League of Evil was really up to. So, let me keep this brief. Don't look at me, don't talk to me, and don't touch me ever again." She said coldly, surprising Zack and Ivy. They've never seen Carmen this angry before. Especially when it comes to VILE.
The faculty was surprised, even Shadowsan. Even if he was secretly on her side, he's never seen her like this. Same with the rest of them.
Julia smiled. She knew it. Carmen didn't work for VILE, she worked against them. Chief looked at Carmen, her face full of surprise.
'Those people are the faculty of VILE. And Sandiego seems to be against them. Was Agent Argent right? Is Carmen's MO really stealing from other thieves?' Chief thought, taking a glance at the VILE operatives. Noting their looks of rage being sent Carmen's way. Well, that confirms her theory. Carmen is on ACME's side. Not VILE's.
"LE FEMME ROUGE!" Chase Devineaux exclaimed, stating the obvious. Ivy and Zack silently laughed at Chase's nickname for Carmen.
"Agent Devineaux, do not try to subdue Ms. Sandiego. She's on our side." Chief said, making Chase freeze when he was about to run at Carmen. Carmen raised an eyebrow at Chief. The VILE faculty looked at each other, was Carmen working with ACME secretly?
Le Chèvre frowned. "How many nicknames does he have for Sandiego?"
Carmen was about to give a snide remark but Ivy chimed in.
"Oh he has the most creative names! Le Femme Rouge, The Crimson Shadow, The Scarlet Ski Devil, etc. etc." Ivy babbled, smirking when she saw Chase's face flush red in embarrassment.
"And who might you be?" Countess Cleo asked, she knew the familiar young boy that was once a Duke from her dinner party in Amsterdam, but not this young girl.
"None of your business, Cleo." Carmen said from beside Ivy, noticing how the Countess glared at her.

Carmen turned her gaze back to the note left for her to find. Ivy and Zack turned to look at her.
"Whatcha got there, Carm?" Zack asked, referring to the note Everyone else in the room looked at her, waiting for some sort of clue of where they are.
"It's a letter from....the author..? It says..."
After Carmen finished reading the note, everyone was silent. The teachers, the operatives, Carmen's team. They all said nothing. Carmen sighed.
"Zack, Ivy, you two search the room for the flash drive. I have unfinished business to take care of." Carmen said, referring to her former friends and classmates. The siblings nodded, disappearing in a flash. Carmen turned back to Tigress, Le Chèvre and El Topo.
"How did you manage to have them work with you?" Le Chèvre asked, wishing that he and El Topo had henchmen.
"They don't work with me, they work for me. And, I'm not going to answer that question, Mr. Envious." Carmen said, bringing up her usual sly and sassy self.
"Hey!" Le Chèvre exclaimed. Tigress mentally laughed, even if she and Carmen were enemies, that was good.
"Anyway, I usually don't do this, but until we get out of this place, let's call a temporary truce. Then, when this is all over, we go back to being enemies. Got it?" Carmen said, putting out her hand for Tigress to shake.
Tigress hesitated. Should she? This is only a truce, but why did her position at V.I.L.E seem so...wrong? What is she thinking?
Tigress sighed. Shaking Carmen's hand. "Fine...but only if you harass Le Chèvre more." Tigress said, both women hearing another "hey!" coming out of Le Chèvre's mouth.
Carmen rolled her eyes. "All right, fine."
"Carmen!"
Carmen turned around to see Zack and Ivy running her way. With something in Ivy's hand.
"Hey you two, I see you found something." Carmen said, noticing the object clenched in Ivy's fist.
"Yup! It's the flash drive the person who wrote to you mentioned!" Ivy said, giving Carmen the drive. Carmen thanked Ivy and Zack and made her way to the projector.
Carmen inserted the flash drive into the computer's slot and the screen lit up with all the content "Bree" left them to view. Everyone found their seats (which had their names on them) and Carmen clicked on the first thing on the list.
"Are they callin' me TRASH!?!" Ivy screeched. The adults in the room silently chuckled, these kids were funny. Carmen rolled her eyes at Ivy's usual behavior whenever she gets pissed off at something.
"HEY!! I am NOT dumb! Carm, my sweet best friend, PLEASE back me up! They're harassing me!" Zack screamed, also begged Carmen to reassure him he's not dumb. Carmen just shrugged. Not really on anyone's side. Meanwhile, Ivy was cracking up. Seeing her younger brother freaking out like that was GOLD.
"Oh COME ON! Why does SHE get credit!?!" Zack freaked out more, turning towards Carmen.
"Because she doesn't complain about not getting fed all the time!" Carmen replied, referring to that time in the car in Indonesia.
Zack huffed in frustration. Why isn't anyone on his side? EVER?
Everyone except Carmen, Ivy, Zack, Chief, Chase and Julia laughed at that. Well, the faculty didn't even understand, but the VILE operatives did.

"That face, though!" Tigress said in between her laughing.
"Okay, first of all, I don't remember making that face at anyone! And second, if I don't understand meme culture, then how come I can tell THIS is a meme?" Carmen yelled. Everyone in the room went quiet. She had a point there.
"But...but that IS fluent!" Ivy exclaimed, glaring at the photo.
"Ivy, "sayonara" means "goodbye" in Japanese while "mon amigo(s) or amiga(s)" means "my friends" in Spanish." Carmen clarified, being her usual highly intelligent self.
Ivy looked at El Topo. He was Spanish, right? Could he confirm the real definition?
"Carmen is right, ¡femenino!" El Topo said, seeing Ivy's face turn red with anger.
"Woah! We look awesome! Especially Carmen with that pose!" Zack shouted, all the people who were in the picture murmured in agreement.
Shadowsan couldn't help but smile. His daughter was all grown up.
(😂
Carmen chuckled. Leave it up to Zack to sometimes make everyone except VILE operatives feel appreciated. Himself was a slim exception, though.
It didn't take long for Ivy to burst out laughing. The VILE operatives were doing the same. Carmen smiled, rolling her eyes. Oh, how Zack was funny sometimes.
Ivy continued to laugh at her brother. Zack pouted, seeing that no one was on his side.
"OH COME ON!!" Zack exclaimed, slumping down in his seat. Carmen reaches down and patted his back sympathetically. He looks up at her, in appreciation.
"P U R E.." Ivy said, her eyes gleaming.
"Oh lord.." Carmen whispered, pressing her index finger to her forehead.
"Who is zat?" Le Chèvre asked.
"Not telling, Mr. I-literally-named-myself-after-a-goat." Carmen deadpanned, gaining a loud cackle from Tigress.
"Okay...NOW I miss her!" Tigress said, earning a nod from El Topo, who couldn't believe his boyfriend ACTUALLY came up with that name. But then again, they both had matching names.
"NEXT!" Carmen yelled, switching to the next thing in the flash drive.
"Oh no...not this one!" Ivy yelled, remembering the events that took place during that scene.
"Okay, let me just say zis—we need ze motorcycle!" Le Chèvre said, and the faculty and his old classmates nodded in agreement.
"If you even TOUCH my motorcycle I will make it my PERSONAL mission to MURDER you! Understood?" Carmen threatened, sounding even more angry than she was at Ivy and Zack at that time in Dubai. The people of V.I.L.E. nodded their heads frantically (excluding the faculty). Even if Carmen was their enemy, she was NOT someone anyone at the academy wanted to mess with. And that's why.
"I remember that...hehe...good memories, huh Carm?" Zack asked his friend, looking over at said woman. Carmen looked guilty when seeing that picture of her in Dubai, as she remembered how she acted.
"Might've been a good memory if it weren't for Stirling Jr being at that party." Carmen said, recounting the events of the goose chase the police had with Zack and Ivy and how they jeopardized the team's mission.
Zack and Ivy looked down in shame, remembering what they did that night.
"We're sorry, Carm." Ivy said. "But Zack's the one who was out of control. I was trying to keep him focused." Zack whipped her shoulder in protest, but then he sulked. His sister was right.
"Hey, come on you two, please don't put yourselves on any more emotional roller coasters because of that incident. I forgave you, didn't I? We're family now." Carmen said, wrapping her arms over Zack's and Ivy's shoulders. The siblings immediately leaned into her touch, happy that they had Carmen as a mother figure. No, seriously, she literally acts like a mother sometimes.

The V.I.L.E. operatives looked at the scene in front of them. They realized they missed Black Sheep—Carmen—now. Why waste their lives being thieves for some organization that doesn't appreciate anything but their special skills and abilities? Why trust the Villains' International League of Evil, an organization that only uses its operatives until they're no longer useful?
Tigress realized why she felt it was wrong to be a part of V.I.L.E. . If she failed a mission, everything would be taken away from her. Her friends, her family, her home, everything would just be...broken. But....Carmen wasn't like that at all. Even if Zack and Ivy let her down before, she didn't punish them at all. She didn't take things away from them.
Sheena then remembered when she first joined V.I.L.E. . She was a shoplifter, who was also a rich kid, and she wanted everything. She was confronted by some Texan woman in her jail cell, saying that her work as a thief was extraordinary. And that she would get her out of jail, on one condition.
To become a professional thief.
Because of that, Sheena left everything she had behind to join V.I.L.E Academy. Her parents, her little sister Stella, her friends, everything. Just to pay her end of the bargain.
That was until she met Black Sheep. She'll have to admit, she and the younger girl didn't really get along well at first. But later on in the year, their friendship grew. And so did their relationships with Le Chèvre and El Topo a. k. a Jean-Paul and Antonio. But, that all ended when Black Sheep left the Isle of V.I.L.E to follow them on their first mission as V.I.L.E operatives.
The incident in Morocco strained Black Sheep's relationship with everyone in their friend group. Including Crackle—Gray— Black Sheep's brother figure.
Then, Black Sheep left the Isle of V.I.L.E once again, but this time, it was for good.
No one has heard of Black Sheep's whereabouts since that night. Until Le Chèvre and El Topo reported that she was in Boston. With two rookies who seemed to have followed her around. Tigress was shocked. All this time, she was just in hiding? Planning to take them down? What happened to wanting to be a V.I.L.E operative?
Tigress didn't care at that time. All she cared about was taking Black Sheep—Carmen Sandiego— down. But now she realized they all made a big mistake.
Working for V.I.L.E.
And Tigress—Sheena—couldn't wait to get her revenge on them.
