Naruto Asks
13) what ninjas would you want as your teammates?
I would personally choose Naruto and Sasuke. While I don't know how I would feel dealing with all the drama, the two of them are very strong and eventually have good teamwork. Besides, their ninjutsus are useful to other people, such as Naruto's final Ninetails form(the huge yellow one) and Sasuke's Ultimate Susanoo.
How about you guys? Lemme know in les commentaires ;)
bye bye, lovelies~!

Italics are dramatized words in speech, or your thoughts. You will be able to tell which ones are your thoughts with '____'.
"Oh no. Ohhhh no."
You stared at the tiny, blue tipped stick that was in your dry hands.
A shaky breath came out your mouth as one hand covered your mouth.
A subtle whisper came from your lips as your eyes began to tear up.
"I'm pregnant."
It's been two months after Shino and you had gone to a small vacation from Konoha to celebrate your third year of marriage together. And, yes, including five days of no students, and no ANBU watching your every move, you had a bit of fun.
Now you're realizing a bit to much fun.
A tear slid down your cheek, gripping the test in your hand.
It was the fifth on you took in a row, but the ones before the one in your hand still didn't satisfy your question. Five times a charm, right?
You glanced over at the other four, which were all piled neatly near a tiny scroll you found. Most people would want to out theirs in a box, however you didn't want Shino to find those tests.
In fact, you didn't even know if Shino wanted kids!
You were glad no one was home as your tears became larger and the snot was peaking out your nose.
"Oh gosh.. I'm not ready to be a mom! I already take care of children at the academy! S-Shino already has his own students to deal with!" You said out loud to yourself.
Placing the fifth test with the other pregnancy tests, you made a quick sign to seal them all into the scroll. Then, you put them into your Kunoichi pocket.
'The best person who knows about this stuff is...Ino!'

You awkwardly waited at Sai's and Ino's front door. They were the first ones to have children, blossoming their only son Inojin. Then after her, Sakura and Hinata.
The door opened wide with Inojin standing at the front. "Hello, Mrs. Aburame." He bluntly stated.
"Inojin! What did we say about you never opening the doors to str- Oh!"
After that voice echoed from the hallway, Ino came walking to the door.
"Y/n! What brings you by here?" She asked, raising an eyebrow as she gently passed her son to go to the door to greet you with a hug.
Embracing it back, you nervously laughed. "Well, I'll show you once we get a bit more...privacy!" Pulling you in, she closed the door and led you into her living room. Ino and you sat down on the couch, your hands twitching a bit as they reached for a scroll.
She moved her bangs out the sauce and fixed her posture before taking a deep breath. "So what was it you wanted to show me?" Ino asked you.
Gulping, you gripped the scroll and pull it out. "You can't tell anyone about this." You told her, pursing your lips out with a pale face.
"Oh Y/n, don't act like that! You're scaring me as if you're about to show me a body part your students found----"

As she was speaking, you pulled out the five, thin tests. Ino stopped talking as she stared at them for a second in your hands.
Then, out came a LOUD gasp.
"YOU'RE PREGNANT?!" Ino shouted, squealing as she wrapped her arms around you tightly, your heart racing from the anxiety you had.
"Sh! Ino, somebody is going to hear from outside this house! No one else knows!" You said, placing your finger on your mouth when she shushed her.
Her eyes looked watery as she released the hug. Ino fanned her face, a quivering grin on her face.
"I'm just so happy for you two! Married for three years alone, have double income and a lovely one story house... It's the perfect time for you two to have a baby! How many months do you think you are?"
"Two months, I think....but Ino, right now probably isn't. We've never talked about kids, and I've always assumed he didn't want a kid because he deals with them for a living!" You told her, sweat showing on your forehead lightly.
Grabbing your hands in a heartwarming way, she smiled. "Well before we even tell him about the baby, we need to see if he's ready for even the thought of having children. We'll run a few tests on him and see if he can work with them. Got it?" she asked you.
You chuckled, raising an eyebrow. "And how are you going to that, exactly?" you asked her, crossing your arms while Inojin was passing by with a snack from the kitchen.
"With my son of course."
Inojin paused, looking over at his mom with a blank stare. "And if he cooperates...he gets unlimited snacks and an extra hour of freetime in the afternoon." Ino said, looking directly at her son. He seemed to like that, shrugging as he took a bite of his apple.

Shino had the day off three days later, and so did you. But you had told him the day before you had a girl's day out with Ino. The perfect plan, the perfect day, the perfect test.
His half-covered face peaked out the door as a knock echoed into the main entrance. "Shino! Is (Y/n) ready?" Ino said as he opened it a bit. By her side was Inojin, who looked up at Shino. "Hello Mr. Aburame." he said in a quiet tone.
Shino looked back at the hallway to notice you were getting you shoes on, so he nodded. "She's coming right now." he said to her, who nodded. "Well...I know this is sudden...but could you please watch my son for the day? Sai is out on a mission, and as you know being a mom is so stressful. I need the day away from parenting just this one time." Ino asked him.
'Test one: can he accept children under his wing? Kind of a weird test, but I can see how she's trying to test him...' Shino accepted without hesitation, which shocked you the slightest. He often preferred to spend time with you only, or take you out on a date on days the two of you were off. After all, it wasn't like it was common for both of you to be off at the same time.
You walked up to Shino, feeling a bit worried if he could almost notice your stomach had grown(but it hadn't very much). "Thanks, Shino." you told him, hugging him and looking up at him with a smile. "Go have fun. We'll be here when you two get back....at six, was it?" Shino asked the two of you.

Ino and you hummed in agreement with what he said. "Have fun~!" she told him, watching the door close on you two. The two of you looked at each other, Ino's face lifting up with a smirk. "Onto test two! Could he handle gross stuff?" she whispered to you.

Shino noticed a small bird appeared by the window. Inojin had told him he would be in the restroom, so as Ino's son was gone he grabbed what he believed to be a scroll between its beak. He opened it, reading out the words to himself quietly.
"The clothes are in the dryer, please get them out for us. Thanks." He glanced at Inojin, who looked strange. "M-Mr. Aburame? I think I clogged the toilet." Inojin said to Shino, who paused to process what said for a moment. "Just stay in the living room, I can go handle that." Shino said to him, walking off to go fix the situation.
Ino patted your shoulder. "He knows its best to put the children first before anything. Good." she told you. "Or maybe he doesn't like the idea of having the toilet clogged." you reasoned, your hand on your stomach. "..which means he knows that it's good to have a clean house." Ino said back.
Both of you got quiet again as he came back with a small plastic bag, holding a small, brown object inside of it. "Did you do this on purpose?" Shino asked him. It was a fake poop- the thing that clogged the toilet. Inojin smiled a bit, apologizing to the grown man. Mr. Aburame sighed, throwing it away. "I'll have to tell your mom about that, so just don't do it again. And since I'm not your mom or dad, I can't discipline you." he told Inojin.
You shrugged. "Shino had always been calm with kids and stress. It's not like him to explode or get highly upset." you told Ino, who was watching Shino saying something to him before walking away to hopefully the laundry room. "Let's see how this keeps on going." she said to you, giving you a thumbs up.
"What are you two doing?" Sakura said from behind.
Both of you jumped, the bush moving and causing Shino to glance at it. "Sakurastaylow!" Ino told her, pulling her to the ground before he could notice either of you. The Uchiha glared at her friend, her white coat stained in light green. "Ino! My white coat...these are expensive." she said to her, puffing her cheeks out in a pout.
Sakura stayed despite the small mishap on her clothing. "Care to explain what's happening?" she asked them, her eyes watching Inojin speaking with Shino. You quickly told her the situation, who raised an eyebrow at your two. "And what if he doesn't think we're ready for kids, you know?" you ended, biting your lip nervously.
She placed a hand over your hand, meeting your eyes in a soft expression.
"Y/n, no one is ever ready for children. It kind of just happens sometimes, while other times you would've been expecting. But when the moment comes....it doesn't matter. All that will matter is when you finally see your child's eyes, and feeling their body against you as all the pain, worry, and stress you dealt with disappears for awhile."
You felt your eyes watering, you face turning red as she chuckled. "At least that's how it felt when I had Sarada. I love her as much as Sasuke does, and even if he isn't always here when she needs or want him, she knows he loves her. We as parents are never going to be perfect. So the same goes with Shino-" she said, noticing Shino was offering Ino's son lunch, "-of course he'll want the child when he finds out. He'll learn alongside you how to be a good parent too, okay?"
One little tear sliding down, you giggled as you nodded. "Thanks, Sakura." you whispered, wiping the tear as you stood up, wiping down you outfit from any residue from the bush. The other females joined you as Ino mumbled about her feet feeling numb.
You looked over at the two.
"I'm ready to tell him." you said, smiling as they made a little cheer. The three of you walked towards Sakura's house to freshen up before telling Yamato the news.

Ino and Inojin waved to you goodbye as the door was closing. Once it came to a soft shut, you felt Shino's arms wrap you from behind. "Did you have fun?" Shino asked you, kissing the top of your head before he released you.
"I-I did. Why don't we sit down?" you said, his facial expression changing a bit as he sensed something was off. The two of you sat on the couch, your hand grabbing his as you looked up to him. "Is everything okay? You look a bit sickly..." he mumbled, reaching towards your forehead with his other free hand. You grabbed it gently, putting it down next to the hand you were already holding. "Of course I am."
You took a deep breath.
"Shino, you are always around children. I see the way you treat them, discipline, and help them. You're one of the best teachers these genin and chunin have. And...we've never talked about having our children." you said softly, his mouth staying shut as yours opened again. "I love you so much, and I never would've gone against our agreements that could ruin us. But...I'm pregnant. I'm sorry, if I had been more careful, or if I didn't forget to-"
He squeezed your hands and brought them to his lips, giving them a soft kiss. "Y/n...Butterfly. Of course I've wanted kids of our own." Shino whispered, hearing you sniffle a bit. He brought you in for a hug as you leaned onto him, your sudden tears dripping off from your skin to his shirt. "I've just been so busy since our honeymoon that we haven't talked about it yet. This child....is not something I will neglect."
Letting out another sniffle from your nose, you pecked his neck as you hugged him tightly. "W-We're going to be parents!" you whispered in a light tone, his head nodding in agreement as he felt his eyes getting heavy as well. Shino stopped them from getting any more moist, leaning more into the couch.
"How long have you've known?" he asked you quietly, you face backing away from the crook of his neck. "Not long. Seven to ten hours ago. I went to tell Ino...and she and I were talking about how I would tell you, or maybe even...see if you were ready." you meekly said, knowing you were about to expose yourself to him.
Shino chuckled, grinning the slightest. "So you used Inojin while the two of you hid in a bush." he said, your face exploding with a scarlet red. "M-Maybe?" you said, stiffing a laugh. "It was our way of just being silly about all of this. I never wanted to put you in a situation you weren't ready for, is all." you admitted, looking at your stomach.
His placed a hand on your still normal stomach. "I would've been ready at any time, Y/n. As long as I have you."
A last tear came from your eyes as you placed your hand on top of his, feeling the warmth of your stomach.
In the end, the only test you needed was the little, small stick. And the only answer to that test was Shino's warm embrace.

The Paths of Magick
Credits: Story by Xcaliburnt. Cover Art by @Bervolart. Magick, the power to bend the laws of reality. All because of a mystical substance known as mana. Mages follow the Paths to achieve power, for there is no more addictive chase. Each Path winds and twists, forcing mages through the flames of adversity and challenge. Though the operative word is "path", the reality is far less straightforward. Instead of a road, Paths are like the branches of world trees, erupting into the heavens, intertwining, and ending in sharp snaps. Only the strongest reach the sky. There are several Paths, and many Ways to walk them—variations of the same Path, and like the stars, they are endless. Magick is the sacred flame that scours the fat, rendering the truest self. Superfluous flesh melting away to show the skeleton of one's being. A chance for ascension—apotheosis. Though not every mage works to godhood, if they survive long enough, It is inescapable. Witness the lives of those that tread the knife's edge of self-destruction. Each one intertwined in their search for answers, revenge, and, most of all: power. These individuals have all lost something precious—irreplaceable—and In search of filling the void left behind, they have taken up the mantle of a mage. Per aspera ad astra. Ad mortem vel divinitatis. (Through adversity to the stars. To death or divinity.) There is no consistent release schedule except my consistent inconsistency. Besides, there’s like a thousand pages worth of content, how can—you already read it? Goddamn. Oh, and there is a very long hiatus between volumes as I intend to edit and rewrite a lot. What to Expect: This story is progression fantasy, so expect a healthy dose of training. It's also heavy on slice of life, and it isn't entirely overarching-plot-driven. Expect characters to live their lives, and not always be on some quest to save the world. There's a lot of magic theory and discussion about it in the story. So, if you don't like impromptu lessons on sorcerous theory by traveling monster slayers, this might not be for you. But if you do like it, rejoice! For there is a lot of it. This is also heavy on prose, purple as a bruised eye. I use outdated, uneccesarily collegiate-level terms and play around with the writing style just for the heck of it. I find it fun to wax and wane poetic, and that might grate on you—I don’t plan to change this aspect of the Paths much if at all. Onto the viewer discretion is advised parts: This is grim-dark/ grim-heart. Take the tags seriously. There will be combat scenes that are brutal and horrifying. Fights to the death tend to be. This is a tale about medieval mercenaries (quite literal killers for hire), man-eating monsters, and eldritch gods beyond the material plane. Beside that, there will be traumatic events that are best left unread. I do not detail certain acts I find heinous enough, instead leaving some parts unwritten but still alludded to if not outright stated; there is simply no graphic narration thereof. This is not for the faint of heart.
