Your family owned a well known ramen shop in Konoha. However, it was always Ichiraku Ramen stealing your customers often. So, that meant you guys were always putting up flyers to advertise for your shop.
It was one, chilly day, and Naruto Uzimaki was just finishing training with team 7. Sasuke was being a duckbutt as always to him, so he was in a kind of foul mood. So, why not go to Ichiraku Ramen to cheer himself up?
As he was running to it, he stopped at a small, black and white flyer with a ramen bowl sketched on to it. Curiosity got the best of him as he stopped running, walking back to the place it was on. It was placed on of the big utility poles, which was long and wooden, holding the electric wires.
Squinting his eyes slightly, Naruto read the words out loud. "Come try our freshly made ramen at our family owned Konoha Ramen Shop!" he said, his eyes widening. "How come I've never heard about this, dattebayo?" Naruto mumbled to himself. He gave it some thought before finally deciding to try out the shop.
~*~
You were cooking the ramen, the heat causing you to sweat slightly as you were stirring the pot of noodles. Your mother, father, and brother were also in the restaurant. Your brother was the janitor of the place, so he was wiping the windows clean. Your parents were cooking along with you.
Business was always slow, seeing how everyone went to Ichiraku. It made your family secretly envy and despise the two owners. However, your family name knew it was better to not try and push the limits and boundaries of the rivalry.
"S-Someone's coming!" you heard your brother say, his hands cupping his eyes. You and your parents looked over at the window, seeing he was right. It was a blonde boy with tan skin, along with blue eyes that made you think of the ocean.
"Get off the window, Aktsuchi." your mother had told your brother. He obeyed, walking towards the broom in the corner of the store, trying to act normal. However, it seemed like he was only your thirtieth customer of the day, so you all were excited.
The entrance door finally opened, revealing the young boy. Seeing his features closer, your eyes widened to notice he was around your age. But both of your parents froze. The jinchuri?! No one had expected that.
"W-Why don't you go be his waitress, y/n?" your mother asked softly as you two watched him sitting in a chair at a table near the window. You nodded, looking up at your mother as she gently shoved you out of the kitchen, and to the main area.
"Is this the Konoha Ramen Shop?!" the boy had asked, staring at you. You nodded, smiling slightly at him. Though he would've been uncomfortable, however now that he was older and had more friends, he was now getting used to people treating him more...normally.

"What can I get you?" you had asked in your gentle, almost wispy voice. "A miso ramen with extra pork, fish cakes, and definitely NO bamboo stalks, please!" Naruto had told you with a wide smile, his eyes closed.
Once again, you nodded before walking back in to the kitchen, leaving Naruto and your brother alone. He opened his eyes, his cheeks beginning to turn red. He'd never seen someone as pretty as Sakura. But they say to never say never, don't they?
Your alluring e/c eyes and the way your h/c hair would frame your face perfectly was like you were a perfect creation. Naruto wondered if you had always been that pretty, also.
Soon, you came back with a steaming, black bowl of the homemade miso ramen, and with his exact orders. You had even given him an extra hard boiled egg. You walked to his table and placed it in front of him.
Naruto began drooling, looking up at you. "Thank you-" he was saying, only to pause. "What's your name....anyways?" Naruto asked. You giggled, making his heart race. "Y/n L/n. And how about you?" you asked back.
"Naruto Uzimaki. One day, I'm going to become Hokage!" he said, picking up his chop sticks and grabbing some of the noodle, slurping loudly as he ate it. "Believe it!" he said in a muffled voice as he ate his ramen.
"Naruto..."

A few moths later...
~*~
It had been over a couple of months as he became a loyal, and yet not-so-loyal customer, switching on and off with your ramen shop and Ichiraku's. You two had bonded over talking about stories, Naruto telling you about his missions, and you about the worst and craziest customers you've had in the shop.
However, little did you know, it would be one of the last days you would see him before Jiraiya would be taking him to go training. Naruto found it to hard to tell you that he was leaving. He wanted to take you with him.
"Y/n?..." Naruto called out as he entered the restaurant. You were in a good mood, so once you ran to him, you smiled wide, tackling him in a tight hug. "Welcome back, Naruto!" you said, closing your eyes.
He stared at you, smiling softly and hugging you back. "I didn't come to have ramen today." Naruto mumbled. You opened your eyes, loosening up the hug and pursed your lips. "What do you mean, Naruto?" you whispered.
"Ero-Sennin is taking me to go on a two year journey to train me!" Naruto said, smiling wide. Your heart sank as you bit your lip, noticing your smile was going down. You were quick to pull it back up, faking it.
"Congratulations, Naruto. Promise me, you'll come back?" you asked him. He hummed softly as he nodded, releasing the hug. Unexpectedly, before he did, he kissed your forehead, causing you to blush lightly.
Before you could say anything else, Naruto was already leaving the restaurant, the door chiming softly as he began walking away. You stared at the back of his shirt, your eyes tearing up. You would miss him dearly.

A few minutes before Pain/Nagato's Attack
~*~*~*~
"....Did he forget about me?...."
~*~
Business was running smoothly, the restaurant slightly packed in more than usual. You had become more mature, not only mentally, but physically. Change was in the air already. However, the biggest change for you was thinking that Naruto forgot about you. He didn't keep his promise.
All you had to remember about him were your memories together in the place you called your second home, the kiss, the fact you loved him. It made you more and more lonely the longer you knew that he probably forgot about you.
As you were cleaning the counters, you ease dropped on some of the customer's conversation. It was a common thing you did. "Have you heard? Naruto Uzimaki had left Konoha again to train as a sage." a man had said.
"Naruto..." you whispered, your lips moving slowly. The one noun you wanted to desperately see again. The one person you just wanted to see one more time. Your mind tried to move away from him. But then again, how could you? You loved the blonde ramen-loving guy.
Suddenly, you heard a giant explosion that sounded not to far away. It even caused the lights to flicker, the floor shaking for a smooth second. Your customers began freaking out, standing up and walking to the window.
You bit your lip, going on your tippie toes to try and see above the customers from afar. You heard several screams, some villagers outside the store running. Everyone in the restaurant began yelling among themselves.
"Everyone!" you spoke up, the people looking at your, silence breaking out, despite the muffled screams outside. "Please, remain calm." you said, walking to the door and locking it. "Stay calm?! Some one is attacking the village!" A female with blonde hair said.
"Then trust our strong shinobi!" you replied back to her in a more bold voice. "Like Naruto..." a teen kid said. Some of the customers nodded in agreement. You began to order them to hide. If the terrorizing person was going to look for you, then you would try your best to hide.
It was working for a long time. However, even if you were acting calm, you were freaking out inside. You were the only person working in the shop at the moment. Your parents were out getting some groceries for the shop, and your brother was out putting more flyers.
You watched the window as you hid behind the register. Your eyes widened to watch an odd woman with short orange hair and a purple eye with ripples in it make hand signs. Reading her lips, you noticed she had said "Summoning Jutsu."
"Everyone!-" you were about to warn the people. However, it was to late. The whole front building in front of you was literally by a large brown paw. Your froze in horror, watching the bodies in front of you bleed away.
You screamed, the sun exposing your spot. The woman looked over at you with her purple eyes, staring at you. Your body trembled as you took many steps back, gulping. Your body hit one of the last remaining walls that stood for your restaurant. Slowly, she walked up to you, the three headed dog growling and looking down at you.
"So this is how I die?..."
you yelled, beginning to cry and sob as you started to sink down on to your knees, closing your eyes shut.
"Will I never get to see him again?..."
Pain's foot steps came closer and closer to you, those menacing eyes piercing your shaking back as you let another loud sob.
"Y/N!"
He finally found you again. Naruto missed seeing you, but was always busy with the amount of missions he was given. His arms gently and yet quickly picked you up, moving you out the way before the dog had crushed you.
Opening your eyes, they widened to look up at Naruto. "N-Naruto..." you whispered, crying more as you stared at him. Naruto looked down at you too, seeing you were crying.
"I-I thought you forgot about me!" you sobbed loudly, wrapping your arms around his neck and sobbing in to the crook of his neck. Naruto placed his forehead on your hair, closing his eyes. He didn't care if Pain was watching. He didn't care that Konoha was going to be destroyed much.
He cared about the fact he was with you.
"I've been to busy...to busy to even say I love you.." Naruto said, your sobs freezing as you slowly moved your head out the crook of his neck, staring at him. "Y-You love me?.." you mumbled. He gave you a closed eye smile, nodding.
"How can I forget about my ramen girl?"
You couldn't help but feel your shiny e/c eyes water up again from joy, cupping his face and kissing him. Naruto blushed, closing his eyes and kissing you back. He slowly placed you down so you could stand up, not breaking the kiss.
But soon it was released, you two placing your foreheads together. "I love you so much, Naruto.." you whispered, opening your eyes to look at him, you hands slowly sliding off his face. Naruto opened his eyes also.
"This shinobi world is surround by hate, and not enough room for love. There never will be." the woman spoke up.
You held Naruto's hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "What now, Naruto?" you questioned him. Naruto gave your hand a gentle squeeze back. "Go to the evacuation site, quickly. I can't escort you....seeing how I need to defeat Pain." Naruto said. You nodded, releasing the hand you were holding.
"Moegi!" Naruto shouted, seeing the genin running nearby and helping villagers. She was one of Konohamaru's teammates, and had one of the most strangest hair styles you've ever seen. "Naruto?!" she said, running to the two of you.
"Take her to safety." he said in a stern voice. Naruto kissed your temple quickly. "Don't die, Ramen Boy.." you said. Naruto smirked, nodding. "Stay safe, Ramen Girl." He told you.
With that, you watched as Naruto ran away, Moegi taking your hand and leading you away.
"?..." you thought to yourself, smiling slightly.
"I don't mind...because as long as I have Ramen Boy, we're unstoppable."
