All the 'Rookie 12' were present in Hokage's office, awaiting the announcement. Kakashi addressed the ninja infront of him and said they were all promoted to Jounin rank. The Rookie 12 received their jounin vest excitedly, before being dismissed.

The newly promoted jounin were celebrating in the bbq restaurant along with their senseis. They were joined by their families.

That night when Naruto was returning home he noticed he was being followed. Extending his senses he noticed they were about genin level people. He turned and addressed them, but they attached themselves to him. This action confused him to no end.

Naruto snapped out of his confused state and asked what does Kurama mean. He didn't do anything to deserve this treatment.

Kurama was seen hitting his head due to sheer denseness exhibited by Naruto. He said

Naruto quickly used body-flicker technique and appeared in his apartment, taking he sigh of relief he thanked Kurama & called it a night.

Meanwhile, Hiashi and the two chunin assigned to him were seen returning from visiting a small village nearby. On their way they were confronted by Toneri Otsutsuki outside Konoha. After turning down Toneri's request, he is attacked and left defeated by Toneri's puppets. Heavily injured, Hiashi attempts to make his way back to Konoha along with his comrades who had fainted, but was unable to cover much route before collapsing en-route.

While the Rookie 12 were celebrating, Hanabi Hyuga returned to the Clan House to get Hinata & Neji's gift which she had forgotten. She was unaware that she was followed by Konohamaru corps.

Konohamaru wanted to prank the arrogant Hyuga Hanabi because she had insulted him. While the corps were ready to launch their prank, compromising of paint-filled balloon, they heard a scream. They saw through the open window how few people attacked Hanabi and knocked her out, before pale faced creepy man floated to Hanabi. He saw how that man took Hanabi and flew towards the sky.

Konohamaru corps scared ran to inform others, abandoning the prank.

Ebisu and his genin squad were returning from a D-rank delivery mission, when they encountered 3 fallen people. Ebisu recognizing Hiashi & the 2 chunin went to assess their condition with his squad backing him up.

They made their way back to the village quickly and escorted the injured party to the hospital before leaving to report to Hokage.

The Med-nin focused their attention towards healing the injured party.

The Hokage visited Hiashi in the hospital. Hiashi told him all that happened before fainting due to exhaustion.

Kakashi was thinking about what Hiashi told him. When someone barged in and told him how the Moon was starting to fall to Earth.

The 5 Kages were called and plans were made, each of them got a watch on their palms showing how much time they have.

Meanwhile Konohamaru corps reached the bbq joint but found that the party had ended. Konohamaru went to inform Naruto. Udon went to inform Hokage and Moegi went to inform Hinata who was with Team 8 & 10 at their senseis house.

Kakashi called the mission to go to moon. Naruto, Sakura, Shikamaru, Hinata, Sai were selected for the mission.

Neji and others were given mission to guards the remaining Hyuga. Uchiha police were called to start evacuating. The rest were selected to defend the village from the meteorites that were about to fall. While Kakashi remained in conference with other Kages.

Naruto and others were on the Moon when Hinata was taken by Toneri.

Naruto devastated confirmed his belief that Hinata was not just a passing crush but his partner that he wanted to spend his life with.

Later on they were divided into two groups Shikamaru & Sai in one and Sakura & Naruto in other. Naruto went ahead and confronted Toneri when he was about to wed Hinata. Toneri told them of his story the way he interpreted it and left to avoid the battle to gain time for his new eyes to work properly. Hinata told him about the true story and how to prevent Toneri from doing what he wants.

Sakura in the meanwhile had reached the room where Hanabi was held. She rescued Hanabi and left the falling building. Hanabi was passed to Sai by Sakura before leaving to catch Naruto.

Naruto and Hinata combined their efforts and were successful in destroying the vessel. They then turned their attention to defeat Toneri.

Tomeri was knocked back and unseen to the rejoicing couple approached them from their blindspot with a lethal blow. Sakura who had just reached seeing the blow shielded the couple taking the blow before falling. The couple were shocked Hinata approached Sakura and exerted her efforts to keep her stable, while Naruto took on Toneri.

After defeating Toneri and telling him about what was the true story. Toneri finally understood and made amends, telling them that he would stop the moon from falling and he was very sorry for what he did to his friend.

The shinobi left Toneri in good terms. Naruto summoned Kyubi to write success on moon. The squad was rushing back, Sakura's condition was worsening, they needed immediate medical attention.

In Konoha, the Uchiha were using Susanoo and fire jutsu to take care of the falling meteorites.

In Suna, Gaara & Rasa were stopping the meteorites using sand-release.

In Kumo, the chakra blasts were taking care of the falling meteorites.

In Iwa, Kurotsuchi was taking care of the big meteorites while the small meteorites were take care by stone-wall-jutsu users.

In Kiri, Mei Kagura & Swordsman were taking care of the meteorites.

The Kages noticed success written on the moon. They took sigh of relief before announcing that the Moon crisis has been averted.

The Hokage, Rookie 12 and their senseis were waiting at the gates. When they heard flapping wings, diverting their attention towards the sky they saw the squad on Sai's birds.

On reaching the gates Shikamaru, Hinata, Hanabi, Naruto made their way to Hokage appearing depressed. While Sai didn't bother stopping and rushed towards hospital.

Once in the hospital Sai handed Sakura to the Med-nin. Tsunade and Shizune were called before Sakura was seen carted away towards the ER-OT.

Shikamaru gave the mission report. Sasuke rushed towards the hospital followed by others. They were in the waiting room, when Sasuke hit Naruto saying that he failed to protect his sister figure. Kakashi stepped in b/w them to stop the fight.

Tsunade and Shizune stepped out of the room and told them Sakura was fine but she doesn't know when she will wake up.

Sasuke at that moment realised that life was too short and he didn't want to wait anymore, has soon has Sakura wakes he will ask her to marry him.

The next year was spent by everyone visiting Sakura. Everyone realised how important Sakura had become in their lives. They were reminiscing about their time with her.

On the New Year Eve, she was being visited by Sai. Sai has improved a lot and was telling her about what was going on. When he heard a muffled sound and the monitors pulsed showing spike in readings.

Sai was sent out of the room Tsunade, Shizune and other medics went in the room. Tsunade came out giving the good news that Sakura has regained consciousness.

Sai went into the room and was glad to see her awake. Sakura was helped up by Tsunade, who told her to take easy. Sakura told them to help her surprise others.

She was dressed in a kimono before being escorted to the festival. On reaching there she saw everyone waiting for fireworks. She also saw Itachi, Shisui, Fugaku, Mikoto trying to cheer a gloomy Sasuke.

Sasuke had suddenly activated his sharingan and body-flickered towards Sakura and hugged her trying to confirm that she was really there. Sakura hugged back. He didn't waste anytime and gave Sakura a chain with a ring proposing her. Sasuke was waiting anxiously but Sakura eased her worries by nodding.

Shisui, Itachi and Fugaku congratulated the couple while Mikoto mothered Sakura. This attracted others attention. They all met her and was glad that she was okay. Naruto & Hinata approached her at last, they expressed their guilt that they felt towards her, how their negligence cost her deeply. But Sakura eased their worries saying that she doesn't hold them responsible, and she would repeat her action in a heartbeat if it meant saving her precious people. She was replied with that she won't be given a chance to do that.

They then spent the rest of the festival relaxing & enjoying together.
