A week long journey, she finally reached konoha. Just picturing the smile on their faces. She skipped last few steps to konoha gates, Izumo & Kotestu has usual were sleeping on entry checkpost. Her parents finally caught upto her, and slammed their hands on the checkpost jolting the sleeping guys awake. Embarssed to be caught sleeping they checked the files and permitted entry.

Sakura was still full of energy after she unpacked, so she went to a nearby cafe, to treat herself with hot chocolate. Leaving from their in high spirits, she met up with her friends and gave them the soveniours which she brought for them. They all thanked her sincerely.

Next morning, Sakura reported to team 7 training ground. She chatted with both Naruto and Sasuke, as they waited for their sensei. Finally, Kakashi showed up and told them to about the D-rank mission, since he was feeling a bit lazy and wanted them to relax a little. So began the 2hr chase for Tora ' the demon cat '. After the mission they were relaxing with light snacks and small talk.

A bird screeched above their heads and flew round and round before taking off. Kakashi bid them by, and told them to meet up here in afternoon.

Sasuke bid bye and left for home. Naruto bid by and left to meet Iruka. Sakura just walked away towards her home, on her way she bumped into konohamaru gang held hostage by Kankuro. She walked over to him with poker face, & bonked him over the head, he let go of konohamaru, who hid behind her. Kankuro became pissed and just opened his mouth to shout, when Gaara stepped in and smiled at the girl.

Sakura took him by his arm & dragged him to her home were she kept all the soveniours she collected from her trips for him. He studied each given artifact with appreciating eyes and thanked her.

Later that afternoon, Kakashi gave them their registration forms for upcoming chunin exams with a bit of advise for the coming exams. They all bid by and left in high spirits.

On their way home Sasuke was attacked by Iruka disguised as kumo nin who pretended to attack him, Sasuke just called him out on the attack and left. Iruka sat there until the shock wore off, and left to find Sakura who just looked at him nodded and left. Iruka began to wish that his last victim do something interesting, his prayers were answered, so when he approached Naruto and held konohamaru hostage disguised as foreign nin, Naruto screamed intruder and Iruka was cuffed and dragged by Anbu to holding cells, when they were far enough Naruto smirked and said paybacks a bitch.

The next morning they gathered infront of Academy for the chunin exams, they entered the Academy and sneaked passed the group of people on second floor held in genjutsu. When they reached the third floor they were greeted by Kakashi waiting on them. He wished the three luck and ruffled there hairs before letting them go.

They entered the examination room and all eyes focused on them. They made there way to a shady corner away from prying eyes. The rest of rookie 12 entered later.

Finally the tension begin to rise in the room before Ibiki and examiners stepped in for the first part of chunin exams. Naruto was freaking out a bit for he didn't like tests, finally after listening to the rules he figured out the test, and since sneaking was his best ability he swiftly gathered information. Sasuke used his sharingan and Sakura just used her brain. Finally after an hour strike Ibiki gave them the last question, many people quit on last question, and Ibiki announced the remaining candidates have passed, explaining them the purpose of exam.

Soon a window broke and Anko entered, announced the second part of exams. She turned towards Ibiki and told him that she was impressed that only 20 teams passed. She told the candidates to gather in front of training ground 44.

Everyone reached the training ground 44, listened to her speech signed consent forms, gathered there scroll and stood infront of there gates making plans.

Team 7 decided to go under henge of older genin, Naruto came up with a plan to sneak fake scrolls and pickpocket real scroll before examimation so that they run directly to the tower. Naruto began his task by pulling out fake earth scroll and sneaking towarda the team he saw having earth scroll. He pickpocketed the original scroll with fake and returned to his gate, informing them of success in his task.

As soon as the gates opened team 7 under henge took high ground sprinting towards the tower. Half a day later they reached the tower, opened there scrolls and Iruka congratulated them explained them the reason for task and poster hanging behind him. He told them that they were the third team to make it in, just behind team 8 and sand team. Since they had 4 days left they came to there alloted room refreshed ate and then slept like dead.

On the last day they were called for preliminary round, they noticed only 6 teams were left. The exam began by the Electronic board showing Sasuke vs Kankuro.

First match ended with Sasuke being the winner who burned the puppet.

Second match showed Lee vs Shino, Shino send his bugs to drain Lee's chakra but since Lee dosen't use chakra and is taijutsu user he gave Shino many hits till he gave up. Lee was announced winner.

Third match showed Hinata vs Ino, Hinata didn't give Ino any opportunity to attack and shut down her chakra network, gaining her victory.

Fourth match showed Temari vs Tenten, where Temari won due to her wind nature.

Fifth match showed Gaara vs Chouji, Gaara knocked him out using his sand.

Sixth match showed Neji vs Kiba, Neji gained victory by using 32 palms.

Seventh match showed Naruto vs Ame ninja 1, Naruto gained victory by using harem jutsy and knocking his opponent out.

Eighth match showed Shikamaru vs Ame ninja 2, Shikamaru won by using simple strategy.

The last match Sakura vs Ame ninja 3, she won by using genjutsu.

The winners lined up and were asked to pick numbers, after picking numbers they were told that they chose there opponents by doing this. The matches were Sasuke vs Neji, Lee vs Shikamaru, Gaara vs Naruto, Sakura vs Hinata winner fighting Temari. They were given one month to prepare.

After 1 month, they were standing in chunin exams stadium in a single file. They noticed not only Kazekage but Amekage was also present.

The first match began with activation of their respective dojutsu, Sasuke cast subtle genjutsu on Neji to tire him out, after Neji's reserves were down his teleported behind him and knocked him out. And was announced winner. He looked up to see his dad proud of him.

The second match began, Shikamaru used strategy to trap Lee in his shadow after half hour of hiding and dodging. In the end Shikamaru gave up declaring Lee the victor.

The third match began, Gaara used his sand to trap Naruto who frequently used teleportation jutsu to escape his sand. Naruto then used water dragon jutsu submerging tge stadium in water. Gaara's sand moves became sluggish. Naruto then paralyze jutsu on him and was declared winner.

The last match began, Hinata jumped towards Sakura to use her jutsu but Sakura kept her distance, during this game of cat and mouse Sakura launched poison senbon hidden in genjutsu which shows multiple kunai instead of senbon. The senbon hit her from her blind spot causing her to become dizzy and loose conscious, declaring her the winner. Then her match against Temari began, where she broke the terrain taking advantage of Temari's imbalance used medical ninjutsu to render her immobile gaining her victory.

The Third hokage then announced the chunin; Gaara, Sasuke, Naruto, Sakura, Hinata, Neji. The selected candidates were handed their vests by their respective Kage's.

They celebrated their selection by having feast in Barbecue Hotel.
