The deer seeing the Nara sprinted towards him. Shikaku petted the deer and approached the girl kindly asking how she came across him.

Seeing suprise on the faces on newcomers he was once again reminded how he had isolated his clan from the village.

They were soon seated and were eating quietly. Sakura decided to break the awkward silence by asking Shikamaru if he knew how to play shogi. Hearing this he immediately wiped any sign of tiredness and took out the board setting between them.

Sasuke overcomed by jealousy asked to be played with first but he lost only 5 seconds in the game. He dragged his brother to defeat the pineapple head but he to lost after an hour. Seeing this Sasuke pouted but Itachi ruffled his hair and told him about the Nara family intelligence.

The adults were watching the kids. Shikamaru beckoned Sakura to play giving her the first move. Sakura smirking internally made a move. They continued playing for two hours until finally Sakura moved the rook checkmating him.

He looked shocked looking at the board seeing all the moves he could have made. He noticed that instead of cornering his pieces she let him do that and striked at the right time winning with only few pieces lost.

The adults were impressed asking if she wanted to become a kunochi she replied that she will be the best shinobi. The adults didn't miss the use of shinobi instead of kunochi.

Fugaku inquired her about her parents wether she will join the academy early. She answered firmly. Fugaku later extended her an invitation to his home for training. Which was followed by Shikaku and Inoichi's invitation. She accepted smiling.

Seeing the time the Nara and Yamanaka stood to leave not before throwing a glance at her but Fugaku said that they will drop her home.

Mikoto packed moving to drop Sakura to her home with her giving the directions, on reaching her home she bowed and said goodbye to them before entering her home.

While the family were leaving Fugaku told his family that the girl had great potential. The wisdom in her eyes resemble to the hokage when he was young. To make an ally out of her will be beneficial.

They were shocked to hear open compliment from their father/husband for a civilian.

But Fugaku was clear on one thing, that kept him from asking the little girl questions, with the way she looked at him when they first made eye contact that she will protect his family. With that stare she earned his respect and trust, which even the hokage and even some clan members have not earned.

During night when they went to sleep. Fugaku decided that he should sleep with his family. Making both his sons happy.
