《naruto character one shots》Trick Or Treat [Obito Uchiha]

Seeing all the houses lining your neighborhood adorned in the festive oranges, purples, and onyx blacks symbolizing Halloween was making you giddy. Halloween is by far your favorite holiday, it always has been, ever since you were a child. You adored the cute pumpkins and cobwebs, the spindly spiders and black rats with bright red, beady eyes. Your house was always more prominent and easily distinguished among the others. You loved to decorate!
You enjoyed the night time, when the sun would depart earlier and earlier, the moon alive and flourishing for longer, giving you more time to admire it's iridescent glow. The crinkle of the leaves beneath your feet no matter where you walked, the sound enveloping you with such a feeling of satisfaction at the crunch. Carved pumpkins lining the doorsteps, smiling (or frowning) at pedestrians with their sinister Glasgow grin. Though your favorite part was trick-or-treating. Even though you're getting older you still dress up in some elaborate costume and have fun with the kids, begging for candy with an imminent stomach ache hanging above your heads'.
What makes the tradition even more fun is celebrating with your best friend. You and Obito actually met on Halloween when you two were kids. When you both stumbled upon each other one Halloween night years ago, you adored his Batmans's Joker get up and he was completely in love with your Harley Quinn costume; it was fate you both spent the rest of the night hand in hand, trick or treating together. That night, your fate was sealed, and you've both been inseparable ever since. Also, another tradition was formed along with your friendship: every year you'd both dress up as some duo, from Link and Princess Zelda to SpongeBob and Patrick.
As you walked along the side walk of your road, steps in sync with your cherished best friend, you smiled in content, the sound of your boots' crushing the withered leaves against the pavement. The cup of coffee you you had in hand begun to turn cold and you frowned at the bitter taste, cringing at its lack of warmth though it still sent your tongue into a caffeine fueled frenzy. Your burgundy hair fell in ringlets down your back, blowing this way and that in the cool, autumn breeze. This year you decided to masquerade as Princess Ariel, after she had sprouted legs! And Obito, of course he was your Prince Charming, Eric: with his hair unkempt and white and gold attire he almost replicated the famous Disney prince.

That was another aspect of Halloween you couldn't help but love: being able to dress up as who ever you wanted to be. It's the one day you can be whatever you want and no one can tell you other wise. You loved that, you loved transforming using that day as an excuse to experiment with yourself and be someone entirely new.
The sound of a candy wrapper being crumpled in his hand, you were returned back to reality, doing your favorite activity: trick or treating. You and Obito had already collected a hefty back full of goodies though you were far from quitting and returning home.
"{Name}, I wanna go to that house!" Pointed the white and gold clad teenage boy, tugging on your navy blue painted fingers.
As you were being whisked away to the house he had in mind you couldn't help but notice it was the home to an elderly woman who'd pass out candy to you two every year, despite her ailments. You two were always her favorite trick or treaters, she thought you and Obito looked adorable in your matching duo costumes and always looked forward to what you both were going to be every year.
You both trudged up the steps leading to her doorstep before ringing her door bell, alerting the woman with an obnoxious chiming. Within seconds the mahogany door swung open and you were greeted by the same old woman, a cauldron black witch's hat with a bright green bow was placed atop her silver perm, a handful candy ready to be distributed.
"My, my, what wonderful costumes! You both look so beautiful!" She greeted before either of you could utter a "trick or treat!"
"Thank you," you both replied in sync, gratitude and respect lacing your voices'.

"Prince Eric and Ariel, very good job! That dress is gorgeous! " She complimented.
Your long sleeved, aquamarine gown flowed the length of your legs, only slightly brushing the ground. Your already naturally red hair loose and curled to perfection. A smile perked at the corner of your rouge painted lips, unveiling a set of sparkling white teeth.
"Only the best for my princess," replied Obito, practically incoherently as the woman dropped a handful of delicious, sugary sweet candy into each of your pillow cases.
As you departed from the house you quickened your pace, for Obito had managed to get ahead.
"What was it you said back there? To the old woman?" You inquired curiously, tossing your hefty sack of treats over your shoulder and twirling a lock of your hair with your free hand.
His posture stiffened all of a sudden, a feather pink began to dust his cheeks. Though as soon as you took notice it dissipated, and the embarrassed teen regained his composure before again steeping in sync with your own footfalls.
"I didn't say anything," he replied, slightly narrowing his eyes.
You frowned and continued to pester, you hated it when you were left out of the loop.
"I called you my princess, okay," he mumbled though this time coherent enough, that same dark hue dusting his cheeks and turning his ears pink.
You stopped in your tracks, before continuing your pace.
"Of course I am. And you're my prince. Oh! And one day we'll be the king and queen of Halloween! Well rule our own kingdom and together we'll celebrate it every day!-" passion lit a match behind your emerald hues, and you went on and on about how you and Obito would rule the world one day.
A gracious smile adorned Obito's pale face, his dark eyes less intimidating and rambunctious. He relished in this moment he shared with you, listening to your voice as he chewed on his candy bar.
And to top off an already perfect, magnificent moment, you had grabbed his cheeks, spur of the moment, your brain driven by caffeine and sugary candy. You pressed your lips to his, tasting your prince's marshmallow infested mouth. His teeth were sweet and his lips so addictingly smooth. He was caught off guard, not expecting you to ever just kiss him out of the blue like that, right in the midst of a crowd of trick or treaters.
After pulling away you licked your lips, removing any excess gooey mess before locking hands with your Prince Charming. The crickets began to chirp, the stars twinkled in the sky, and yummy candy was burning a whole in your sack: and either of you wouldn't have it any other way.

Mark of the Lash
Born from a precarious relationship between a Drow and his prize, Serena Lash struggles to find her place, and herself, as she fights to persevere through the hardships life throws her way. A story born from a D&D game I am currently a part of. The narrative will follow the events of the campaign as closely as possible, with some events having been tweaked to better fit into a written story. A slow burn, the narrative does skip around a bit due to the nature of the campaign, considering that not everything in the game needs to be written about. This will begin to peter out the further the story progresses, but for the first parts, expect a bit of skipping!
