ALBUS POV
Everyone felt really bad for teasing Blaire and Rick once we saw her leave like that, especially Ronnie. Scorp and Tony were trying to calm her down because she started crying and her brother got mad at her for making Blaire upset before he left too. It all happened yesterday and today I was going to find Blaire and ask her why she got so upset.
I asked Jasmine Longbottom if Blaire was in the dorms or common room and she told me she left that morning with her homework assignments so I went towards the lake, where I know she loves to study.
I spotted her sitting under a large tree throwing a stick. I raised an eyebrow and was about to ask what she was doing before she summoned the stick back towards her and threw it again. I smiled at her dedication to charms class and took a seat next to her.
"What are you doing here?" She asked before summoning the stick again.
"I was looking for you."
"Well if it is to see how I am doing, I am fine." She glared at me as she threw what was in her hand.
"Uh...Blaire? You just threw your wand."
"Shit!" She scrambled to her feet and ran towards the edge of the lake where her wand was resting a few feet away from the water.
"Sure you're okay?" I asked as she sat next to me again.
"Honestly? No. But I don't want to talk to you about it."
"Oh come on. I'm your best friend. We tell each other everything."
"Oh do we?"
"What's that mean?"
"You waited to tell me about you and Scorp dating Zach. And you never told me you liked him in the first place."
"I didn't think I had to. Ronnie said it was obvious."
"Maybe to her, but I wasn't paying attention to how you treated Zach! I was paying attention to how you treated me!" She looked away quickly and threw the stick before summoning it once more.
"Blaire. What do you mean?"
"Oh my Merlin, Albus! Isn't it obvious?" She leaned over and kissed me quickly before looking away once more. "I'm sorry. I just... I know you love Zach and I'm happy for you, but... I loved you Albus. You were more than just a best friend to me. And I know you like men and I respect that but it's hard watching the person you fell for be with someone else."

I sat there in shock at her words before smiling at her and pulling her into a hug.
"Blaire. I love you too, bit more like my sister and my best friend. You're a gorgeous girl and any guy would be lucky to have you, but like you just sad, I fancy men. And Zach takes care of me, and Scorp. Just like I am sure some lucky guy will take care of you one day."
"I don't know. It's silly. I always thought I would be your first kiss." She laughed a little and I smirked at her.
"Well I sure wasn't your own. So who was it?" She turned red and stopped her laughing before biting her lip and looking down.
"How would you know?"
"Well I have kissed plenty of guys and you, my dear girl, have what one would call experienced lips. So who was it? Jasmine Longbottom?"
"Oh Merlin, no." She laughed. "Besides, you know Jasmine is Aro anyways. She wouldn't agree to kiss me unless I was her cat, Fish."
"Then who was it?"
"If I tell you, you can't tell anyone."
"I promise."
"Rick and I have kind of been... practicing on each other? We started in second year and whenever we are left alone we just sort of practice flirting and other things on the other one."
"Wait. Other things? You guys didn't f-"
"No! No! Nope. Nope. No!" She turned bright red and hid her face. "We mostly just snog or... grind on each other from time-to-time. But it never goes much farther than that. Besides, he likes someone."
"Yeah. You."
"What?"
"You think I'm lying? He told me he had been snogging the girl he likes since second year. I was never sure who until now, but it sounds like he made up the 'practice on each other' excuse just so he could be closer to you without ruining your friendship."
"Albus.... Thanks for telling me." She hugged me and quickly started grabbing her things before standing up. "I've got to go talk to Rick."
She left quickly and I watched her with a smile. Merlin, I hope things go well. She deserves the best and Rick is a good guy. A bit sneaky, but a good guy for Blaire nonetheless.

SARAH POV
I had just put the last item on the table for dinner when the floo roared to life and I saw Roy step out. He had gone to visit his dads this afternoon but has been gone for hours.
"You and your dads must have had a lot to talk about. I was starting to worry you wouldn't be back in time for dinner." He walked over and kissed me before we both sat down to eat.
"I had to go pick something up before I came home. You really went all out tonight, dear. It looks amazing." He took a bite and let out a satisfied moan. "And it tastes even better."
"I'm glad you like it," I laughed. We continued to eat in a comfortable silence before I realized I needed to tell him. I took a deep breath before starting to speak.
"Sarah/Roy." We laughed at each other before he nodded at me to go first. I took a deep breath once more before looking into his handsome brown eyes.
"Roy. I haven't been completely truthful with you recently." His expression fell into a slight frown before he nodded his head for me to continue. "Well, remember I was told by the doctor that I had a stomach flu? It turns out... That wasn't the case."
"What do you mean, Darling?"
"Roy, I don't know how else to say it, but I'm pregnant." His eyes went wide and a smile grew on his face.
"Really?"
"Yes. I knew we agreed to wait for a better moment but-"
"Sarah, no. No moment could be vetter than right now. I mean, yeah, we are still figuring things out and we aren't ready yet but neither were Jeffrey and Wally and they have been doing such a great job with Jamie. Babe-"
He stood up and walked over to me before kneeling in front of my chair and placing his hands on my stomach.
"This. This right here isn't something we were ready for, no, but it is something we wanted nevertheless. This baby, this precious child that is being carried by the most beautiful woman alive, they are a gift. And one I am proud to have had a hand in."
"You aren't mad?"
"Mad? Sarah. We're gonna be parents. You can't deny how good you are with Jamie. You love her. And I know you will be an even better mother than you are an aunt."
"I just figured since we have been so careful you would be upset."
"Babe, I know we were careful but this just means we might be ready after all. And besides, I was planning something myself this evening."
"What is it?" He smiled at me and pulled a box from his pocket before telling me to open it where I saw the most gorgeous ring ever.
"Roy... It's beautiful... But why?"
"Well I figured blue would be best because you were a pretty proud Ravenclaw and-"
"No. I mean why the ring, baby?" He chuckled before leaning up a bit and kissing me.
"Sarah Melody Granger-Parkinson, you will never stop being the love of my life. You are wise, funny, creative, kind, and the overall most beautiful person inside and out. Not a day goes by that I don't thank Merlin for placing you in my life. I wake up before you just so I can look at this beautiful woman next to me and try to figure out how I got so lucky to be with her. I look at you and I see a future together. You are my person. You are my destiny. I love you more than words can say. And now you are carrying another person that I will love just as much. I want this. I want you and a family. Most important, I want to spend my entirety with you. So, my love, will you marry me?"

Recruit - An Infinite Labyrinth prequel
A prequel to The Infinite Labyrinth. The year is 1816. The British Empire is in full swing, under the auspices of King George III. The Infinite Labyrinth has been pouring out its product from beyond our reality and fostered a new industrial revolution. Times are changing, and the people of London are feeling the winds of the revolution while British Professionals push into the Labyrinth. The newly formed Artefact Hunting Company is looking for recruits, and they have new technology to help them. From the slums of London, they aim to recruit a new wave of Professionals. And make Zacharias and the Earl of Carnavon lots of money. So, for Rowan Rivers and a handful of lucky ones, it's time to head into the Labyrinth, and discover what makes it different from England. And what makes THEM different? Recruit is a bunch of chapters I wrote to create to the setting, mood, and game systems of the Infinite Labyrinth. It is NOT a complete story in the classic sense. It's more of a slice of life view of early days of a normal Professional from the Infinite Labyrinth, and it's heavy on info-dump. It's 90% canon - there's probably a bit of a difference between how some characters and common behaviour are portrayed here and how they'll come out in the main story. Set two years before the events that kick-start the main series, it features some of the secondary/peripheral characters of the Infinite Labyrinth and will tell you all about the basic mechanics of the Labyrinth's RPG system. It can be considered a spoiler, as the characters in the Infinite Labyrinth are going to need to figure out all that, on their own. But if you like a much deeper exposition in the mechanics, here it is. The entire prequel is about 80 pages long.
