SARAH POV
Ugh. I feel like shit.
I took a deep breath as I walked into a muggle clinic with Roy. We wished not to go to a wizarding clinic first to see if we could save a bit of money. We are saving up after all.
Besides the point, I couldn't help but feel utterly terrible these last few days. Anytime I apparate, I get sick to my stomach and I haven't had much energy to do anything recently. So Roy said I should see a healer, but my mum recommended me to her muggle doctor.
When my name was called, I told Roy to wait for me while I went back with the nurse. She did the usual stuff, such as taking my height and weight and checking my blood pressure before she put me in a room and I waited even longer for the doctor to arrive. It had been all of seven minutes when she finally showed up.
"Hello Sarah, lovely to see you again," she smiled. "My, how you've grown. I would hate to see your brother. I would feel even older."
"Hello again Dr. Jones. Yes, it has been a while, hasn't it?"
"What seems to be the issue, deary?"
"Here recently, I've been feeling sick to my stomach and have been extremely fatigued. I dont have the energy to really do much and whenever I eat anything I would normally, I get a lump in my throat like I'm going to be sick."
"I see. Well, I will have to run a few tests, but I will mane it quick and let you know quickly. So let's begin."
A FEW MOMENTS LATER (*spongebob narrator voice*)
"Alright Sarah, I have your results back in," Dr. Jones said as she came into the room once more.

"Give it to me straight, Doc. How long I got?"
"How I have missed your twisted humor, my dear. I'm afraid you are a bit worse off than I thought."
"Really?"
"Nah. I'm just fucking around with you. Congratulations, my dear. You're going to be a mother." She smiled wide and I felt my face drop.
I'm pregnant? But... Roy and I have been careful. We have used every protection and precaution I can think of and more. How did- why-
"Sarah. Are you alright dear?"
"I... I dont get it. My boyfriend and I... we have been extremely careful. We agreed to wait to have a kid until we were more financially stable. We are still figuring out our jobs right now."
"Not every mind of precaution works one-hundred percent of the time. In fact, in most cases, those who try their hardest to be careful are the ones who end up getting pregnant in the first place from my experience. I hate to reccomend this, but if you do not wish to have the baby, you still have some time to-"
"No! I mean. No thank you. I could never forgive myself if I did something like that to my own child. And Roy... he has always wanted a baby, we have just never planned to have one this early into our relationship. We wanted to marry first and be able to take things slow and easy. We are only twenty."
"Sarah, your mothers took you in and had your brother at your age, if not a year younger if I remember, correct?" I nodded. "Maybe you could ask them for some advice on the matter. Until then, I do not want you apparating or doing anything to potentially hurt the baby. And I would like to see you for regular appointments if you plan to continue your pregnancy."

"Thank you, Dr. Jones."
"Anytime. Just be sure to keep me in the loop. And I will have my husband send you some of his famous butterbeer cookies."
"You know, it is very fortunate you are married to a wizard."
"Dont remind me," she chuckled. "Now go on home and take things easy."
I walked into the waiting room and Roy walked up to me.
"Are you alright? What's wrong? Do you need me to get you anything?"
"Roy, stop. I am fine."
"Then what's wrong?" He smiled at me and I bit my lip.
"Just.... a stomach flu. Nothing to worry about for now."
He nodded and we went back to the house using the car, as I did not wish to throw up or hurt the child.
When we got home, Roy went to work on some papers in the office and I made my way to the sitting room and read a book, subconsciously placing my hand over my still-flat stomach.
I had so many thoughts swirling through my head. After a few moments, I gave up trying to read the book because I continued to reread the same paragraph several times. I sighed and decided to go talk to my mums before Roy finished his papers. So I quickly put on my coat and stepped through the floo.
