ROY POV
It has been three weeks since we found out about Jamie's parents. And the others. I dont even know how to feel about that. All I know right now is Wally and Jeffrey are getting ready to blood adopt Jamie and she will become a member of their family.
"Hey, you okay?" Sarah asked as she hugged me from behind the chair I was sitting.
"Yeah just thinking." I gave her a small smile as she kissed my cheek.
"Well dont think too hard. Wally and Jeffrey are coming for dinner and they said they wanted to talk to us about something."
I nodded and she walked off to the kitchen to make dinner. I looked down at the daily prophet and saw a passage on the organization my birth parents worked for.
I continued to stare at the passage before hearing noises from the living room. I stood up amd walked into the room to see our company for the night standing there.
"What's up Roy?" Jeffrey asked as he brought me into, what I believe Rick's friend calls, a bro-hug.
"Hey guys. I thought you were getting here later?"
"We told Sarah we would get here at seven," Wally said as he readjusted Jamie in her holder while taking off his jacket and her coat.
I looked up at the clock and saw it read seven o'clock before realizing I had been staring at the passage for an hour. I saw Sarah run into the room amd hug our friends before she started cooing over Jamie.
"She is just so cute! I cant wait until I'm finally a mom and I can have one of my own." I saw her holding Jamie and the smile on her face actually caused my worry to start to fade away.

Sarah and I have been thinking of having a kid for a while but I keep telling her I want to get married first and get a bit more stabability, but with our missions, it gets hard to find time to do anything.
"So what's for dinner? Wally made a light lunch and I can tell by the look on Jamie's face I'm not the only one who's hungry," Jeffrey laughed.
"Oh yeah. I made some homemade pizza and thought we could play some wizard chess or something while we eat." We all grabbed a few slices of the cheesy goodness and all piled into the sitting room where we started playing a few games and eating, occasionally taking turns to hold or feed Jamie.
"So what is it you guys wanted to talk to us about?" I asked in between games while I held Jamie on my lap.
"Well, Wally and I wanted to knoe if you guys wanted to be Jamie's godparents." Jeffrey said with a smile as Wally reached over and held his hand.
"You guys... Really?" Sarah's eyes lit up so bright I'm surprised we didnt need sunglasses.
"Yes really. You two are our best friends and Jamie loves you both. We figured you two would be the best ojes to look out for her in case anything were to happen to us."
I looked once more at Sarah who was smiling at the baby in my lap. I chuckled and nodded before both men hugged us both.
"This is the best day ever! Aunty Sarah and Uncle Roy get to be godparents!" Sarah was bouncing in her seat in happiness as the others and I shook our heads in laughter at her behavior.
"Aun Sa," I heard a faint voice from below me. We all stopped and looked down at the smiling baby. "Aun Sa!"

She began giggling and I saw Sarah smile with tears in her eyes. Wally explained that was the first thing they heard her say and I saw the blonde girl beside me cover her smiling face with her hands.
"Her first words were Aunt Sarah! I'm so happy!"
"Just think when she starts saying Uncle Roy," I laughed before pointing to my lovely girlfriend. "I'm gonna be worse than she is."
"She needs to say Dada already," Wally pouted.
"Your time will come," Jeffrey laughed. "Although imagine if she calls me that and ends up calling you Mama."
Wally elbowed Jeffrey so hard in the stomach he doubled over in his chair.
"So you have your Dad's sass and your Father's violent tendencies. Good to know," I laighed along with Sarah as we continued watching the two.
Maybe things with Wally wont be as awkward as I thought since we found out. I mean, it isnt like he knew anything about it. He couldnt possibly.
Right?

So I know I am likea week late on an update but hey, I will try for more tomorrow. And if I don't, have faith my friends.
Later lemon droplets!

Would your life change forever? Would you become a King amongst men? OF COURSE NOT! For the heavens are fair and they shall maintain the balance of the realm, no matter what the case. Did I ask for the knowledge I was given? NO! Did I ask for the abilities I was given? NO! So then why make me different? Why turn me into a monster who sees all yet cannot participate in the competition for power that you have arranged? WHY HAVE THE HEAVENS FORSAKEN ME? From birth I saw everything, nothing could escape my sight. However, the heavens made me a cripple, they put me in the shadows and I can’t help but yearn for the light. Why am I still of the living then? Well, Why should I give the Heavens the satisfaction of seeing me give up? I will not submit to the heavens nor will I submit to the bastards that wish to use me. All I can do now is continue to rebel against everything. All I can do is continue to battle the Heavens in my heart. I shall carve out a new path for all those like me, a path that will go against the very constitution of this world. How will I do this? I do not know. But I will! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I will upload a chapter a day on Royalroad (maybe more) however if you want more of the story at a quicker pace then go to fantasy-books.live. There are currently 110+ chapters of Path of Blood there. P.S - I started Path of Blood about a year ago so the first fifteen chapters have some problems character wise however I'm currently working with an editor to remedy these to make the story a better read. Anyway, these issues don't last long and since Pob is a story that rewards the patient, only those who've read till the latest will understand how good the story really is....I designed it to get better with every ark, surprises planned at every corner and the eventual ending of Pob will definitely not dissapoint, so stick around and give it a chance. :D
