《Malfoy v. Diggory (reader x draco malfoy x cedric diggory x reader love story)》chapter 54

Cedric couldn't stop emphasizing how badly he wanted our first date to be special. He didn't want it to feel like it was just another Friday night, so that meant he didn't want our first date to be at Hogsmeade.
...
Once I finished getting ready for Cedric and I's date I was about to head over to his room, but then I remembered he said he wanted to come by my room to pick me up. I looked up at the clock and saw I still has about 5 minutes until it was time to go. I sat on the end of my bed making sure not to wrinkle my dress. I would've liked to lay down and stare up at the ceiling, but I didn't want to mess up my hair.
I hear a knock on the door and straighten up as I stand to my feet looking in the mirror once more, finalizing my hair and makeup. No smudges, no loose hairs, no wrinkles.
I'd hung-out with Cedric so many times and been out with him more times than I can count, but tonight was our first date as an official couple, so of course I was nervous.
I let out a shaky breath before I turn to open the door.
Cedric smiles from ear to ear and extends out his hand to me after a moment to give me a spin. I feel the ends of my dress slightly lift and sway with the spin before Cedric kisses my hand lets go.
"You look beautiful Y/n," Cedric smiles.
"You look handsome as well Ced," I say in turn with a grin.
"Shall we?" Cedric says playfully offering me his hand.
"We shall," I say reaching for his hand.
"Do I get to know where you're taking me yet?" I ask as we make our way down the hall.
Cedric shakes his head. "In fact, now that I think of it, we should probably go back to your room. I'm not sure why I decided to lead us down this way."
Cedric switches direction and turns still tightly grasping my hand as we head back to my dorm.
"Why are we going back to my dorm Ced? Is that where the date is?"
Cedric shrugs.
I exhale, he really isn't going to give me any hints.
I open the door to my room and close it behind us.
"Alright, grab onto my wrist please," Cedric says looking down at me.
"We're a-a-apparating?! Cedric we're not even done with our apparation class yet!"
"We may not be done with our class Y/n, but I'm confident in my apparating skills. I've studied immensely last week with Hermione, the brightest witch of our time," Cedric says with a small grin.

I give him a worried look, "Ced, I dont know. What if something goes wrong? Really, I don't mind going to Hogsmeade for our first date, everyone has their first date at Hogsmeade."
"That's exactly the point Y/n." Cedric sighs. "Please trust me, I promise I'll get us to our destination in one piece, please?"
I definitely do not want to spoil our first date, but I also want to live to have a second date.
Cedric dramatically pouts, jutting out his lower lip, putting his hands together.
I could never say no to that face, ugh, here goes nothing. I grab onto Cedrics wrist and give him a small smile.
"I trust you Ced," I smile. "So don't kill us."
Cedric laughs placing his other hand over mine before disapparating us from the castle.
I stumble onto the cobbled sidewalk and catch myself before I can fall on my ass.
I look around us and see the whole city of Edinburgh illuminated before us. "Edinburgh?" I ask, observing the familiar city.
"Well like you said, I'm not an expert on apparation, so I didn't want to go too far and risk splinching," Cedric responds.
"Smart," I reply. "This feels...illegal."
"It kind of is," Cedric laughs quietly, "We technically aren't allowed to leave school grounds during the school year."
"Right," I chuckle. "So, where to first?"
"Dinner."
Cedric laces his fingers through mine and leads the way down the dimly lit sidewalk.
I never would have taken Cedric Diggory for a rule breaker, the consequences of this are unimaginable. Then again, I would like to see Dumbledore expel him for this, that man made my life hell, he owed me this much and much more.
The first place Cedric took me was to a pizza parlor named Civerions. I had never been to this restaurant before, though Cedric said he'd been here a few times with his father and knew that he had to bring me here someday. And that day was today.
After dinner he insisted on taking me out for dessert even though I told him I'd had plenty to eat. But I know how hard he worked on choosing the perfect spots for us tonight so I agreed, also I was secretly excited to see what place he had in mind for dessert.
Cedric took me to my favorite coffee and tea shop in the city, I'd probably mentioned it to him over 100 times and how badly I wanted to take him there. We walked into the Bon Tea Room and ordered tea, macaroons, cakes and a few scones.
Once Cedric finished ordering half the shop, he payed and we sat in a small corner of the shop indulging in our tea and sweets.

"Ced, you did such an amazing job planning out this date," I smile. "Everything's absolutely perfect," I say taking a bite out of my blueberry scone.
"Of course, I had to make sure everything was perfect for you."
Cedric always made his love for me apparent and the amount of love he had for me too. He's honestly more than I deserve.
"I'm so incredibly happy we found our way to each other, even though it was a long journey. All of it was worth it." I say.
"I love you Y/n," Cedric declares for the first time reaching across the table for my hand.
"I love you too Ced."
I've always loved Cedric, but in much more different way. In a friendly, caring kind of way. But this was different, I loved him in every way, more than just a friend, more than I could ever explain to him. Even though we said it on our first date it didn't feel rushed or forced because we had been friends for so long and had feelings for each other for a long while too.
I can't speak for Cedric, but ever since the end of the fifth year I felt differently towards him. I loved being his friend, but I was starting to want something more, and do things that friends wouldn't do. I was so certain that after our summer break we would be together, and now that I think of it I remember in one of Cedrics letters to me, the last one he sent said he had something to tell me.
I guess now is as good as time as ever.
"Hey Ced?" I ask placing my tea cup down onto the table. "Remember back to this past summer when you sent me a letter explaining you had something to tell me. You said you would tell me as soon as we got back to school and you never did."
"Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that. It feels like so long ago," he utters. "Still want to know?"
I nod.
"I was going to ask you out on a date. I was thinking about you all summer while I was up in Oregon with my dad and I just couldn't get you out of my head. I thought it had been a good amount of time and that I had given you space after you and Malfoy ended things. But—"
"But then Malfoy happened...again," I say finishing his sentence.
"Right," he announces clearing his throat. "So, I had to wait yet again before I could even think of asking you. Merlin, I had to do a lot of waiting for you Y/n," Cedric laughs. "But it was so worth it."
I smile leaning into the small table, as he does the same meeting my lips. "I'm glad you waited Ced," I whisper, "Because I promise you, I've never been happier."
"Neither have I," he mutters caressing my cheek with his hand. "I don't mean to sound impatient, but could we head back to my room now?" Cedric asks with a small grin.
I nod eagerly as we stand to our feet interlocking our hands as we head out the tea shop.
Nothing with Cedric ever felt rushed despite the fact that we just started dating. We'd just known each other for so long we were ready for everything and tired of waiting.
---
The next morning I woke up in my own bed struggling to find the will to get up. So, I nuzzled back into my pillow and clutched my covers tight. But before I could drift back to sleep again I hear rapid loud knocking on my door. At the sound of a very familiar knock, I stand immediately knowing exactly who is on the other side of the door.
I burst the door wide open and launch myself into Lunas arms. I had been so long since I've seen her, she was the first kind person I'd met here at Hogwarts and I'm so lucky to have such a great friend like her.
"Well hello to you too Y/n," Luna giggles, taken aback by my hug.
"I've missed you so much Luna! I never see you anymore."
Luna walks into my room sitting at my desk loosening her scarf, "I'm sorry, I know I haven't been the best friend recently. I've just been so busy with the creatures and my studies for being a Magizooologist..."
"It's no matter now, you're finally here and that's what matters."
"I've missed you loads Y/n, but hopefully my creature studies will subside a bit next week and we can start hanging out like how we used to," Luna smiles.
"I'd like that very much."
"Perfect!" She beams. "But as of right now, we have greater matters to attend to." I shoot her a confused look. "Remember, Dumbledore is making an announcement to the school."
It had completely slipped my mind. I rushed to get ready in my bathroom as Luna waited for me in my room, keeping herself busy.
"Alright, I think I'm good to go," I announce a couple minutes later, walking out of the bathroom into my room to meet Luna.
She offers me a candy, or rather, a candy that would be an equivalent of a coffee shot. Once we were ready we headed out and made our way to the great hall.
