《Malfoy v. Diggory (reader x draco malfoy x cedric diggory x reader love story)》chapter 35

Over this past week I've been spending all my free time with Draco to make up for the time lost. After the whole Harry incident it was clear that Draco needed me, so of course I had to make myself available. Draco has been walking me to and from every class, even the ones we don't have together. I've been eating lunch with him and Blaise everyday just like how we always would, and doing my homework with Draco and on occasion with Blaise as well. Things feel just like how they used to when I was a Slytherin, well almost, I'm still a Hufflepuff of course and Draco and I haven't gotten any closer to figuring out who is responsible for this.
After Charms class, Blaise and I make our way to the library. We arrive at library and blend into the quiet atmosphere as we find an empty table with three empty seats, one for me, Blaise and Draco who'd be joining us soon.
I take out my Charms notes and start working on my homework that was assigned today at the end of class, Blaise does the same.
As I try to study my notes I finally give up and lift my head up to Blaise, "What're you staring at me for?" I ask, raising an eyebrow at him.
"Don't flatter yourself y/n" he chortles, "just thinking about how happy you've been making Draco, you two have become inseparable, just like how things were at the beginning of your guys relationship."
"That makes me really happy to hear" I smile back, "I miss being in Slytherin with the two of you, this week has taken me back to those simpler times."
"What're you lot on about?" Draco announces walking into the library kissing my cheek before taking a seat beside me.
"Nothing," I respond with a cheeky smile, "missed you" I say, glancing down at his lips before pulling him in for a kiss. As I slowly pull away, Draco bites his lower lip-
"Ahemmm, we're working on Charms. No distractions" Blaise announces loudly, not allowing Draco do as he pleases.
"Despite what it may look like, I'm able to focus just fine on my homework Blaise." Draco scowls in response.

"Just making sure" he responds with a pained, fake smile.
---
I'm able to work through my Charms homework diligently with very few distractions. After awhile, Dracos unnecessary comments started to tune out on their own.
"Ok I'm done" I state looking up from my work as I begin to pack my things up. "I have to go ask a friend a question real quick, but I'll meet you guys back down in the commons?" Blaise nods in agreement, but Draco has a very different reaction. He jolts up from his chair making him eye level with me.
"Where're you going?" Draco questions, with a puzzled expression.
"Mate, did you not just hear her?" Blaise interjects, looking up from his work.
"I'll see you soon, don't worry" I announce, shifting his light hair away from his face. "I've been putting this off for awhile now, but I have a test tomorrow, so I need my questions answered."
Draco simmers down and begins to slowly approach me from behind, wrapping his arms around my waist as he digs his chin into the crook of my neck. "I'm sure I can answer it for you" he murmurs gently into my ear.
"I don't think you can" I reply with a small chuckle.
"Blaise maybe?" he whispers back.
"No, its a muggle question, neither Blaise or yourself would know" I state unraveling out of his embrace. "See you guys soon" I say once more before grabbing my bag and heading out the library.
I understand why Draco was so alarmed once I announced that I had to leave, I haven't left his side since the incident. I hope he likes having me around because he loves me and not because he doesn't trust me. Of course its cause he loves me, how could I think otherwise. Maybe he's just scared of what'll happen if I'm away from him for too long, regardless I really did need to leave. Cedric and I have a muggle test tomorrow and I have a couple questions I've been needing to ask him. I haven't spoken to him or any of my friends besides Blaise outside of classes this whole week. So I'm either a good friend and a bad girlfriend or I'm a bad friend and a good girlfriend, this is getting stressful, things will have to go back to normal soon though. As much as I care for Draco I can't be around him constantly it's just not my thing if that makes sense.

I arrive at the Hufflepuff common room after not having been here for almost a week. I force a small smile on lips as I walk in all eyes turning to me, but why do they look angry? Merlin, what's the issue with everyone today, I scowl internally.
"Y/n!" Cedric beams approaching me, as he comes down the creaky stairs.
"Cedric, hey" I reply with a genuine smile.
"Come, sit" he says motioning towards the vacant yellow couch. I follow.
We take a seat beside each other on the couch in a secluded part of the room away from all the judgy eyes. "Glad to see you're back y/n, come to stay for good this time?" he says in hopeful tone.
I feel my smile falter, "Not quite Ced, but I hope I can be back soon."
"What's holding you back, think we Hufflepuffs won't claim you anymore?" he asks seriously.
"Well from the looks of it" I say glaring at the people who did the same to me when I first walked in. "Whats up with everyone?"
"Oh um" he hesitates, "people kinda think you traded them for Slytherin" he says, "not me though!" he affirms loudly.
I laugh a little at his sudden defense. " 'Spose it does seem that way, guess I can't blame them though" I say shrugging. "Anyway, I had a couple questions regarding the Muggle Studies test study guide, think you can help me?"
"Gladly, that is, once you come back to your respective house" he announces with a grin.
"Ced I can't, not yet, but soon (hopefully)" I reply.
"Fine fine, it was worth a shot, but sure I'll help you."
---
"Ok ok I think I get it now, just had to confirm." I respond with smile.
"That's great," Cedric beams, "anything else I can help you with, y/n?"
"Well actually yeah kinda," I gulp nervously. "How's Harry?"
"Harry?" Cedric asks taken by surprise. "Why do you ask, did something happen?" he further questions furrowing his brows.
Did Harry not tell him what happened? Did he not tell anyone? Maybe it is best if no one knows.
"No no nothing happened, just checking in" I reassure. "What about Luna? I reckon she's a bit mad that I haven't been staying in my dorm with her like I should."
"Not mad, but it's clear she misses you" he says sympathetically. "We all do" he announces, reaching for my hand, in doing this I notice the bracelet I gave him on his birthday and can't keep from smiling.
"Well I best go before Luna gets here, she'd probably convince me to come back" I chuckle lightheartedly.
I get on my feet and smile down at Cedric once more before approaching the barrel like door.
"Y/n-" Cedric says turning back to face me from the couch, he hesitates contemplating on whether he should proceed. "Actually, never mind go on" he smiles.
---
I exit the familiar common room and walk over to the Slytherin commons to meet up with Draco and Blaise, a g a i n. Not much could've happened while I was gone, it sucks only talking to them two I miss my other friends. I sigh as my shoes patter against the cobbled ground. No no, but all of this is to help Draco, to better our relationship, and from the looks of it it really seems to be working well.
I walk into the cold, dimly lit Slytherin common room and meet up with Draco and Blaise at our usual spot in front of the fireplace. Draco and I usually occupy the leather sofa while Blaise sits beside us in the armchair.
"Alright love? You were gone for awhile." Draco announces, as I join him on the couch snuggling up close to him, resting me head on his shoulder.
"Yes" I hum.
"Get your muggle question answered?" Blaise teases.
"Yes" I roll my eyes as a smile plays on my lips.
