《Malfoy v. Diggory (reader x draco malfoy x cedric diggory x reader love story)》chapter 31

Last night was my first night here in my new Hufflepuff dorm. Lunas a great roommate, she's no trouble at all, she doesn't snore and goes to sleep at a decent time, well so far at least. It was only my first night here, but I'm hopeful that things will remain peaceful. It's been a while since I've had a roommate, and since then I've enjoyed having my own space, but things here with Luna are great, so I can't complain.
I was going to invite Luna to breakfast, but by the time I woke up she was gone. Probably went out to the forest or something. I roll out of bed to get ready and walk over to my closet. My eyes widen when I see that my Slytherin robes have been exchanged for Hufflepuff ones. I sigh, 'just another thing I have to get used to'. After placing my regular school clothes on I hesitantly throw on the Hufflepuff robe as I inspect it. I don't have anything against Hufflepuffs, it's just I'm still a Slytherin, even though I'm technically not one anymore. So wearing something other than a Slytherin robe is very foreign.
I walk down the creaky wooden stairs into the commons and see students happily chatting, Cedric being one of them. He's surrounded by a big group of fellow Hufflepuffs; certainly all of whom he considers to be his friends who oooo and aww as they listen intently to one of his stories. I send him a friendly smile as I approach the bottom of the stairs, which he returns. As I walk across the common room I overhear Cedric tell his followers that he'll have to end the story there, to which they respond with boos and groans. He hops over the back of the couch, landing directly in front of me with a cheery smile, "breakfast?" he beams.
"Are you sure? I mean, do you want to leave your followers waiting?" I ask sarcastically with a cheeky grin. He hangs his head to the ground and lets out a weak chuckle. "Come on y/l/n".
---
Upon entering the hall, I scan the room and immediately lock eyes with my favorite pair of grey eyes. Draco jolts up from his seat leaving Blaise, Crabbe and Goyle to talk amongst themselves, as he jogs to engulf me into a tight embrace, literally sweeping me off my feet. He plants kisses all over my face in the sweetest way and I can't help but giggle.
I feel Dracos mouth curl into a smile, "What's so funny?" he asks still kissing me.
"You" I announce letting out another laugh, "you act like you haven't seen me in days"
"16 hours feels like days to me" he states finally putting my back down, "join me for breakfast?"
As I was about to accept his invitation I hear someone next to me clear their throat and immediacy turn to their direction. Oh shit, I forgot Cedric was here.
"Sorry Draco, I've already made plans with Cedric here" I assert sending Cedric a smile.
Dracos happy aura quickly shift to an annoyed one, "Well I'm sure he'll understand" he states, not caring to look at Cedric.
I send Draco an 'are you serious' look. "I'll see you later, ok?" he scoffs in response, "fine."
---
Over breakfast Cedric and I talk about Quidditch and the first Quidditch match, which is today: Slytherin v. Hufflepuff.
"You're coming today right, to my match?" Cedric asks, before swallowing a spoonful of cereal.

I nod gleefully, "I wouldn't miss it for the world, you see my friend Blaise" I beam proudly, "it's his first game, I promised I'd be there to cheer him on."
"And me?" he announces playfully, boring his eyes into mine. "Er-um" I stammer a bit flustered, "s-sure, but you'll have Cho in the stands too you know" I respond with a weak smile.
He shifts his eyes off mine and down to his food, picking at it with his spoon. "About that-" he softly chuckles, "I've been meaning to tell you for awhile now, but I always get interrupted whether it be Burbage or Dumbledore". I send him a puzzled expression. "We broke up."
"Merlin, Ced I had no idea" I console placing a hand on his shoulder.
He looks up to meet my gaze. "Yeah" he shrugs trying to play off his emotions. "Wait did you just call me Ced?" he asks raising a brow, "you haven't called me that in ages" he says, his voice jumping into a happier tone.
I blush, "Sorry, if you don't like it I can stop" I announce biting the inside of my cheek slightly embarrassed.
"Don't, I missed it" he beams, with a charming smile.
I return the smile and take my hand off his shoulder. "When did this happen?" I question referring back to his and Chos relationship.
"First week of school" he announces, his tone shifting from a happy one back into a normal one "so about 2 months ago."
"Im sorry to hear Ced," I console once more, "if you don't mind me asking, what happened?"
"Er- Um, look I have to get to class y/n, I'll explain later" Cedric says in a weary tone, scooping the last of his cereal before pulling me into a tight hug, and taken by surprise I tense up, but slowly ease into it. Its been so long since Ced's given me one of his famous bear hugs, I never realized how much I missed them until now.
---
After classes I rush down to dungeons and try to make it to Draco in time before he has to go warmup for his game. As I reach the portrait that sits in front of the Slytherin commons I utter the last password I can remember hoping they have yet to change it.
"pureblood, I mutter. The stone wall opens itself up to reveal the familiar green lit commons. I rush up the stairs to check for Draco in his room.
"Draco?" I call out opening the door to his room, soon realizing that its empty.
"Over here!" Blaise shouts through his closed door.
I close Dracos door, turning only 180 degrees to face the front of Blaises room. I approach the closed door and turn the knob gaining access into the room. I see Draco standing directly in the center of room adjusting his uniform in the mirror, reminding me why I love game day so much. I rush towards him and pull him into a passionate kiss, which he returns inviting me for more which I eagerly accept.
"Guys come on! Im right here!" Blaise interrupts, cringing at us.
Draco reluctantly pulls away to turn to his friend, "Oi, come off it mate" he responds, with annoyance in his voice before meeting my lips once more for a last kiss. "Is there something you need love?" Draco questions, studying my features.
"Just wanted to wish you the best of luck on your first game" I beam with a wide smile. "Thanks" he sates with a small smile.

"And" I start, walking over to Blaise, "I wanted to wish you good luck on your very first match Zabini" I tease elbowing him in the stomach. "Are you ready?" He nods his head eagerly, "Yeah should be, Draco and I have been practicing like crazy" he announces, looking up from the mirror and over to his mate with a grin.
"You're definitely ready mate" Draco assures approaching me from behind, wrapping his arms around my waist as he gently sets his chin on my shoulder. "You'll be cheering for me from the Slytherin stands right?" Draco utters lowly into my ear.
I hum. "We'll see" I respond sweetly, shrugging him off of me and heading for the door. "I'll see you guys at the game" I beam, waving to them before walking out.
I don't know if its just my imagination, but Draco's seems very loving today. Maybe its just cause he's excited for the Quidditch game, or maybe its because he missed me yesterday, or maybe its both. Regardless, it makes me elated to see him in such a good mood.
---
I meet up with Luna and her friends: Harry, Ron and Hermione, and walk over to the field. We take our seats in the Hufflepuff section and wait for the game to start. As we're waiting I look up at the sky and notice how grey and cloudy its turned since this morning.
"Whatcha looking up at?" Ron interrupts poking my shoulder from behind.
"Look" I say pointing up the grey sky, "looks like it might rain during the match" I respond in a worried tone.
"S'ok y/n, I'm sure the players and your boyfriend will be ok" Ron assures patting my back. I wasn't necessarily worried about that I know the players will manage, but rather I was worried about the fact that I wasn't dress for the occasion, hopefully I don't get a cold.
---
The announcer Lee Jordan announces both sides and the starting players, he starts off with Hufflepuff and announces their seeker first.
"STARTING WITH HUFFLEPUFF, WE HAVE CEDRIC DIGGORY AS SEEKER!" he announces loudly though the mic.
The entirety of the Hufflepuff stands erupt in loud cheers and applauses. I do the same, cheering loudly for my friend.
"Go Cedric!" I hear Harry shout from beside me who starts pumping his fists in the air.
Lee Jordan goes on to announce the rest of the Hufflepuffs starting line up. I excuse myself from Luna and her friends before walking over to the Slytherin stands, luckily it was just a short walk away from the Hufflepuff ones. I wanted to reach Slytherin territory for when Lee goes on to announce the Slytherin team, I didn't want to be the only Hufflepuff cheering for them. As I arrive to the Slytherin side I don't bother taking a seat, but rather lean up against the railings awaiting for my boyfriends name to be called.
"Moving onto SLYTHERIN, WE HAVE DRACO MALFOY AS SEEKER!" I burst into a loud applause as do the rest of the Slytherins and shout his name which happens to get his attention. Draco searches for the familiar voice that just called his name and eventually locks eyes with me. I send him a cheeky smile, to which he winks with a grin before turning his attention back to the field.
"AS CHASER WE HAVE BLAISE ZABINI!" Just as I did when Dracos name was called out, I cheered loudly for Blaise, the stands following suit. "Go Blaise!" I shout forming a circle around my mouth with both hands to amplify my voice. I cheer once more for the Slytherin team and as the match commences I subconsciously settle into a seat between two fellow Slytherins.
I proceed to watch the entirety of the game in the Slytherin stands. It felt so nice to be cheering for the same side, I didn't have the heart to leave. Halfway though the game it started pouring and lucky me didn't have a sweater or anything to avoid myself from getting wet, but I didn't care much, I was too focused on the match.
"AAAAAAAAND THERE YOU HAVE IT FOLKS, HUFFLEPUFF IS TONIGHTS CLEAR VICTOR!" Jordan announces.
Shit. I really wanted Blaise to win his first game, he played so well too. I walk down the stands and step into a few puddles on the way down to the wet field. As I make my way across the field searching for Draco and Blaise I realize that they aren't there and are most likely still in the locker room discussing what caused them to lose tonights game. Regardless, I still make my way down the field and in doing so, I'm met with a familiar hufflepuff who intersects my path.
"Y/n!" Cedric beams, jogging towards me. "Did you see me catch the snitch?" he asks lifting me up into a hug and he spins me as he does so, similar to what Draco did this morning, but without the spin. I laugh loudly, feeling butterflies in my stomach due to the sudden spin.
"Yes yes Ced, I did, you played amazingly tonight" I announce as he gently puts me down, but still keeping an arm around me to hold me close. Soon the noises around us fade, we're no longer laughing and smiling. Rather we allow our eyes to roam over each others facial features in silence, eventually Cedrics eyes stop at my lips, in doing this he parts his lips never lifting his eyes off of my lips, he suddenly pulls closer. But before anything can happen I drop my head down allowing a weak chuckle to escape my lips as I gently push him away by his chest. I send him a small smile before seeing Draco walk out of the locker rooms.
"Draco" I mutter under my breath. Cedric send me a confused expression before turning behind him, his eyes following me. I jolt over to join Draco's side engulfing him in a warm hug, Cedric seeing this leaves the field without another glance.
"Hey love" he announces with a weak smile, probably bummed from losing the match. I plant a soft kiss on his cheek before pulling away. "Where's your sweater?" he asks in a low voice, noticing the goosebumps starting to form on my skin.
"Didn't know it was going to rain today" I chuckle. "But never mind that, you played great tonight, I'm so proud of you" I state kissing him once more.
"I didn't play well y/n, the damn weather got in the way" he seethes to himself, "but thank you" he finishes, wrapping a loving arm around me. As he holds me close I start to feel his body heat radiate onto me, thank Merlin. "I give you 2 of my sweaters and you still don't-"
"Hey!" I interrupt, "I didn't know it was going to rain" I defend shooting him a fake pout. He chuckles in response and kisses the top of my head.
