《Malfoy v. Diggory (reader x draco malfoy x cedric diggory x reader love story)》chapter 26

I arrive home from my dad's house and plop myself onto my bed. Finally, I get to sleep in my own room where I don't have to share it with any annoying little brats.
Ugh. This better be good. I open my window to let my owl in, allowing her to hand me my letter. I leave her be and don't bother closing the window either as I take a seat at my desk.
Y/n,
Both my parents are out of town, so I though why not throw a party? Also you need to reach out to me more often y/l/n, I'm starting to forget what you look like. Anyway come over and bring Draco, or whoever you please and wear something hot. Wait whoops not hot I meant niceeee. Don't tell Draco :)
Your bestie,
Blaise
Blaise. He's so funny, I miss him. Of course I was coming to his party, it's been too long since I've seen him. I planned on going with Draco, but I'm assuming he's going to be there anyway, so I'll just meet him there. Yup that's the plan. I'll get ready as soon as I take a well deserved nap. Those brats are exhausting.
---
I wake up and check the clock. 7 pm. Just enough time for me to get ready, and for me to tell my mom. Shit, I forgot. I walk over to my moms room which is also upstairs and tell her that I'm going to Blaise tonights. And of course, she says yes.
I run back to my room and take a quick shower to wake myself up and proceed to dress nice for the party, nice, but comfy.
"Bye mum!" I shout walking down the stairs. I walk into the living room and spot the floo powder on the small end table. I take a handful and walk into the fireplace.
---
I arrive inside Blaise's house and find myself in a big room crowded with loud music and very dim lighting. I don't recognize most of the people here, but of course they go to our school, I know that much. I walk out of the fireplace and I'm immediately greeted by Blaise.
"Were you waiting for me?" I tease playfully punching his shoulder.
He laughs. "Don't flatter yourself too much Y/n, I knew you'd get lost in this big ass mansion".
I roll my eyes.
"Come on I'll give you the tour" he announces. I'd obviously been here before given that we've been friends for awhile now, but some time has passed since I was last here.
I grab his arm stopping him. "Aren't you forgetting something?" I ask.
He furrows his brows in confusion. "You look good?"
"No, dummy. As host you should offer me a drink first"
"Oh, yes of course. Follow me."
As I follow him to merlin knows where I take in my new surroundings. His parents were rich all right. Blaise leads me into the main room that's directly in the center of his huge house. The ceilings were vastly vaulted, giving the house an even greater size, with two huge chandeliers hanging down from it. This room was just like the last, filled with a vast amount of people who're either dancing, drinking, playing darts or just plain making out like no ones watching. Oh! and I almost forgot, there's a DJ as well.

He proceeds to lead me to a bar with several bottled beverages laid out upon it and an endless stack of red solo cups to accompany it.
"Do I just make the drink myself, no bartender?" I tease.
He rolls his eyes.
I fix myself a cup of alcohol making sure to pour a generous amount, it is summer after all.
"Ready for the tour?" he shouts over the music.
I nod my head, not wanting to strain my voice.
---
Blaise gives me a tour of all the common rooms and ends the tour there. But I wasn't ready for it to be over, I insisted he show me a brief overview of his room and eventually he gave in. We ascended up the aged walnut stairs and when we arrived at the top we saw two six year Slytherins making out against a column. I couldn't help but laugh, Blaise however felt differently. He proceeded to scold them and immediately after lead me to his room like nothing happened. Blaise didn't allow me in his room though, I was to 'admire from a distance'. We both know the real reason why he didn't let me in, he knew I'd mess with his shit.
We walk back downstairs to the party and take a seat at the bar.
"So, where's Draco? I though he'd be here by now." I ask over the loud music.
Blaise checks his watch. "He said he'd be late, but I thought he'd be here by now. Let me go see if I can find him, go do something, meet some new friends while I'm gone."
I down the rest of my drink and walk out onto what I believe to be the dance floor. I don't know, some people were dancing others weren't. I push my way through the crowd searching to see if I can find someone I know and end up tripping instead. I would've face planted if it weren't for a friendly stranger who caught me, but to my utter surprise it was no friendly stranger, it was Cedric.
I smile, finally a familiar face. "Cedric? What're you doing here?"
"Saving you of course" he responds letting go of me.
I chuckle. "Your sole purpose of coming here was to catch me?"
He pretends to think about it for a second before responding. "Yeah, sounds about right." he responds with a smile.
I laugh.
He looks up ahead and leans in. "Wait here, I'll be right back" he announces.
I nod with a smile.
He walks off towards the DJ and whispers something to him and in a matter of seconds the atmosphere changes from an upbeat hype one to a slower more tender one. I expected to hear some complaints from the crowd, but no, people were quick to couple up.
He jogs his way back to me making sure to not run into anyone and when he's finally by my side again he extends his hand out to me. "May I have this dance?"
"Of course." I reply taking his hand as he places his other on my waist.
"Do you remember this song?" he asks as we sway in unison.
"No should I?" I tease.
"Never mind" he affirms.
I chuckle. "Cedric, of course I remember this song" I respond seeing his face brighten up. "It was the last song they played at the ball and you said that it was the perfect song to end the night on" I beam.

He gracefully spins me. "I'm glad you remember".
"I'll never forget my first ball with my first date Cedric," I assure happily.
As the song comes to an end we slow our pace to match the beat.
"Thank you for the lovely dance Y/n."
"Anytime, but I should get back now" I say pointing over my shoulder.
He nods in agreement.
The music roars back to life as I begin towards the bar and see Blaise waiting there for me with a drink in his hand and I can't help but notice he seems rather on edge.
I take a seat next to him and ask what's wrong.
He lets out a deep breath. "Let's just say, someone who isn't the biggest fan of Diggory, you know what, hates him, arrived just in time to catch you two together". He says pointing his thumb behind him. Draco.
Shit.
"How mad is he?" I ask Blaise.
"I don't know, I can't tell anymore. I just know that he's always mad when he's not around you." he responds. "Want me to come with you?"
"No no it's fine, enjoy the party, I'll be back". I get up and make my way towards the exit of the room meeting Draco's eyes who're clearly fuming with anger, I swear I'm not about to have the same fight we had last time. If he has a problem with the fact that I danced with Cedric we can talk about it civilly.
As soon as I'm within arms reach he grabs my arm and pulls me along with him. Ok, that took a turn. "Draco where are you taking me?" I shout.
No response.
He takes me into a dark room that's only lit by one little candle. I soon realize we're in a bathroom. He took me to the bathroom to hash things out. Nice. But what happened next was not what I expected. He lifts me up placing me onto the bathroom counter and looks into my eyes without saying a word.
"Draco, what're you doing?"
Again, no response. Instead he begins working his lips on my neck, making sure to leave a mark.
"You're not gonna stop talking to him are you?" he asks coming up for air.
"No. He's my-"
"I've heard enough. Just live in the moment with me, yeah?" he announces resuming back to his task.
I bring his face up to mine and see pure lust in his eyes. I smirk. "Whatever you say Malfoy".
---
After a very eventful 2 months of summer it's finally time to return back to school. After Cedric and I's little dance, I explained to Draco that I was tired of not being able to hangout with my friend just because he's not secure enough about himself. Not to mention Cedric is dating Cho, he would never do anything to hurt her and after some very long days I was able to convince Draco that he was being irrational, so he eased up a bit. It wasn't easy getting him to do so though, it took a lot of convincing.
As Draco, Blaise and I are boarding the train I turn to my side and tell Draco that I'll be sitting with Luna. He simply nods to say that he understands. I wave goodbye to them and walk down the trains hallway to search for Luna. Along the way I end up busting open a few compartment doors before I finally open the one I want, the one with Luna in it.
"Luna!" I beam rushing to give her a hug.
"Hello Y/n" she greets accepting the hug.
"So who're these folks?" I ask observing the three other students in the compartment. Only one of them stood out to me: Harry. He was seated beside a girl with brown bushy hair who sat next to a ginger.
"Oh, yes of course. This here is Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger-"
"And Harry Potter" I say finishing her sentence.
She chuckles. "Come, sit beside me" she say patting the empty seat beside her.
Awkward silence.
The ginger clears his throat. "So, are you really dating Malfoy?"
"Ron!" the brunette announces elbowing him.
"What? I'm just curious!" he defends.
I laugh. "Yes, I am."
"So, what's that like?" he asks.
The girl beside him rolls her eyes. "You'll have to excuse him and his big nose" she says eyeing the ginger.
"Oh, no it's fine really," I assure. "And as for your question, Ron right?" he nods. "It's amazing, well amazing is a huge understatement" I beam. I look around the compartment reading their faces and decide to level with them. "but I know you guys, well at least Potter here, has a different experience with him and probably not a very positive one. But I assure you I'm working with him on that" I smile.
"Do you really think Malfoy is capable of that?" the brunette chimes.
"I think so" I respond. Draco's never really had anyone by his side to care for him and tell him that they'd always be there for him no matter what. Until now at least, I love Draco, but he has his flaws, like everyone and I don't want to necessarily change him, I just wanna try to soften up his edges a bit, something that I know he's capable of.
The train ride consisted of much exciting chatter, I came to learn that the three: Hermione, Ron and Harry were all friends of Luna. It's funny how she's never told me about them before, they're quite interesting people.
As the train arrives at Hogwarts I say goodbye to Luna and her kind friends and meet back up with Draco and Blaise.
"So how was your guy's train ride?" I ask looking up at both of them as we get off the train.
"Nothing special, just caught up" Draco responds.
Blaise smirks walking over to my side leaving Dracos and hums in my ear. "We talked about youuu"
"Blaise. You're dead" Draco seethes, and with that Blaise jogs up ahead leaving us alone.
"Did you have a nice time with, Luna was it?"
I roll my eyes.
"I'm just joking" he laughs.
"Good" I respond with a small smile "and yes I did".
"Nice".
He clasps my hand in his as we make our way to the castle.
