I run after Draco through the dimly lit hall, but he's no where to be found. What the fuck. He was just here. I search the library and the commons, nope not here. As I begin to lose hope a sudden realization hits me. The astronomy tower, Merlin why'd it take me so long to figure that out. I speed past the students in the halls shoving a couple here and there. Finally, I make it up to the tower and see Draco there, leaning against the window while the light wind brushes against his face.
"Leave".
Ignoring his request I slowly start towards him.
"Draco"
"I said leave!" he says raising his voice.
"No" I say raising my voice as well. "I'm not leaving until you tell me what's wrong".
He finally turns from the window to face me. "What's wrong is you and Diggory".
"How is that an issue" I respond crossing my arms.
Draco starts towards me.
"It's an issue because I don't like you hanging out with him" he responds coldly.
"So, in other words you're jealous" I chuckle. "You know, you could just ask me to hangout like he does, right?"
He turns to the side breaking our eye contact.
"It's not that simple Y/n".
I know it's not that simple. Draco's never been very good at expressing his feelings. Could he like me? Is that why he gets so jealous? Not to flatter myself, but I honestly think it's a possibility. I notice the little things he does . For example, when I walk into a room, he thinks I'm not looking but his eyes are always on me, it's uncomfortable at times. But I'm too shy to call him out on it, plus the attention is nice. I honestly feel bad that he doesn't know how to express himself.

I huff.
"I know it's not that simple".
I take a step closer pulling him into a cozy embrace. He tenses up at first, still not use to affection I see, but soon eases up and kisses the top of my head before resting his chin on it.
"You know, I was going to ask you" he says still wrapped in our embrace.
I slowly pull away to meet his face.
"You were?" I ask surprised.
"Blaise came running to me before class saying that you didn't have a date yet and that you wanted to go with me" he says smirking.
I laugh.
"I didn't say that I wanted to go with you, I said that I wouldn't be opposed to it".
"It's ok to admit that you do, I can't blame you. I mean have you seen me?" he adds grinning.
"Oh shove off Malfoy" I say rolling my eyes.
He chuckles taking my hand in his.
"So, would you want to go? With me?" he asks looking down at our hands.
I let out a sigh.
"It wouldn't be very kind of me if I said no to Cedric after saying yes to him".
"Screw Diggory, he's had his time with you" he seethed.
"Draco, I'm going with him to the ball and that's final. I'll see you there?"
He sighs.
"I guess".
"Good. I'll see you later" I say as I make my way to the stairs. But before descending down them I look back at Draco who has a soft smile on his face. I run up to him and give him a quick peck on the lips before heading down to my next class. Merlin he's handsome.
I arrive at my history class and take a seat next to Luna. Before class starts I ask her about her date to the ball and if Neville ever gained the courage to ask her. She happily announces that he has, and that she will be attending the ball with Neville. Since we both had dates now we made plans to go to Twilfitt and Tattings this weekend to find our dresses.

After class I head to the greenhouse to meet Cedric there since Herbology is his last class.
"Hello gorgeous" he beams clasping my hand in his.
"Hey Ced" I chuckle softly and smile.
We walk to my room to discuss the ball further hoping not to run into anybody in the common room. Luckily no one was there, so we ascend the stairs leading up to my room. I unlock the door allowing Cedric in first, as I follow behind him.
Ced takes in his new surroundings and walks around my room fidgeting with something every so often.
"Wow, I've never been in here before"he says in amazement.
"It's just a room Ced" I chuckle placing my bag down. Thank Merlin my room's clean.
"I didn't know you were a photographer" he states picking up my camera.
"I'm not, trust me" I respond taking it out of his hands. "I only use my camera to take pictures with friends or moments that I don't want to forget" I add pointing to my wall thats filled with pictures of friends and family.
"Oh, I see" he says walking up to the wall I just pointed out. "Say, I'm not up here" he turns back facing me.
I smile.
"Let's change that" I say grabbing my camera as I walk to him.
I face the lens towards us and place my hand on his back, he follows.

"There" I say as I take the photo out of the camera and grab some tape to place it on the wall alongside my other photos.
I put the camera back on my nightstand and take a seat on my ottoman.
"Alright let's get down to business" I say gesturing for him to sit on the ottoman adjacent to me.
"Ok, so what color is your dress?" he asks with a cheery smile as he takes his seat.
"I don't have a dress yet, but I'm going shopping with Luna this weekend. I don't particularly have any color in mind though, do you?" I ask.
"Hmm" he hums as he rests his chin on his hand. "What about a yellow golden sort of color?"
"No way!" I shout playfully. "Can you imagine the hate I'd get for not only going with a Hufflepuff, but also dressing like one? Sorry, but no" I chuckle.
"Ok ok fair enough" he chuckles softly. "What about a soft blue, or lavender?"
"I think a soft blue tone would look nice on us" I smile.
"Agreed. So you're going to get it this weekend right?"
"Yes Ced, I already said that".
I roll my eyes playfully.
"Don't worry I'll have it in time".
"I know I just want everything to be perfect" he responds placing his hand on mine.
"Yes, it'll be perfect I promise".
I send him a warm smile.
I notice his eyes wonder to my bed.
"So, what'd you name the bear?" he questions.
"Oat".
He laughs.
"Oat?"
"Yes, Oat. He's mine so I get to name him" I snap.
Cedric laughs again.
"Ok ok. Since, we're here you want to study with me for the history test?" he asks.
"Sure".
I get up to grab my bag and bring it back to where we were sitting. Cedric gets up as well grabbing my giant bear from my bed and placing him beside us.
"You're such a goof" I laugh playfully.
