《Malfoy v. Diggory (reader x draco malfoy x cedric diggory x reader love story)》chapter 9

This week Snape announced that there would be a potions test on Friday. So, I've been meeting up with Draco in the Library every day to help prepare for the test. Draco's the best at potions, while I on the other hand suck at potions. Today after Herbology I met with Draco in the library to study up on potions.
"Ok, ready? I'm going to give you a lighting round quiz, answer as many as you can in one minute. Time starts...now," he says turning the hourglass over. "What potion turns the drinkers head into a pumpkin?"
I instantly answer: "Pompion potion."
"Good," he says flipping to the next flashcard. "What does the Polyjuice Potion do to the drinker?"
"Um-um" I say shaking my leg nervously. "Ugh! I don't know give me a hint!"
"It involves switching" he says looking at me expectantly.
"Oh- when drunk the drinker takes the appearance of someone else by obtaining a piece of their hair, or fingernail"
"Good."
After my turn is up it's Dracos turn. He gets every single one right. Show off. We decide to stay in the library after having studied together to do the rest of our homework.
"What'd you get for number 5?" I ask peeking at his paper.
"I'm not telling you, last time I tried correcting one of your problems you claimed 'I know what I'm doing Malfoy' while rolling your eyes at me," he says trying to hide his paper.
"Come on Malfoy, it's just one problem"
"Nope, no way"
"Fine I'll just have to take it from you myself then," I say as I try to pry his paper out of his hands. It's not easy though, he's putting up a good fight.
"Stop," he finally says grabbing my wrist.
"Make me." We both sit there staring into each others eyes for awhile while he still holds onto my wrist. I start to notice and take in Dracos features. His eyes, his beautiful stone grey eyes. I've never noticed how beautiful they were.
"Okay, here," he finally says clearing his throat.
"T-Thanks" I say taking his paper, thinking about what just happened. Awkward. As I'm copying down his answer for number 5 I can feel Draco's eyes lingering on me causing me to blush a little.
"Done?"
I look up to meet his eyes and nod.

He takes his paper back, packs his bag up and leaves. Leaving me alone to process what just happened.

The next day we have our potions test. I take my seat next to Draco and begin taking out my quill and parchment, waiting for class to start.
"Are you coming to my game later today?" Draco asks turning to me.
"Your game?" I question turning to him.
"Yes my game. I'm inviting you, are you coming or not?"
"Hm, I don't know that depends. Do you plan on winning?" I say playing with my quill.
"Always, so are you coming to cheer for me and only me then?"
"I guess, better make it worth my while Malfoy" I say pretending to yawn.
"Oh please" he says smirking.
After having taken my potions test I feel fairly confident that I did well. So, to reward myself I don't do my homework and plan to hold it off till Sunday. Instead I go up to my room take out a blank poster from my closet, grab my makers and start making a poster for Draco. He was so keen on me going to see him and only him, so I thought why not make a poster for him to show my support.
After about an hour I place the finishing touches on his poster and make sure to add his number on it, 7. I run down to the boys' room to grab Blaise and get his opinion on the poster.
"So, what do you think? Is it too much?" I ask nervously.
"Wow. No ones ever done this for Draco," Blaise says grabbing the poster to further examine it.
"Oh great it's too much isn't it?" I ask allowing myself to fall back onto my bed.
"No, no I think he'll love it," Blaise says sitting down on the bed patting my leg. "Now come on, we've got a game to catch."
Blaise and I head over to the quidditch field and meet Crabbe and Goyle in the stands. Todays match is Slytherin vs. Ravenclaw. So far Slytherin has won all their games so, I really doubt Ravenclaw stands a chance against them. Throughout the whole game Slytherin stays in the lead causing Ravenclaw to foul a lot out of anger. Eventually the golden snitch is spotted by the Ravenclaw seeker who darts after it. Draco noticing this flys past the Slytherin stands sending me a smirk as he notices the sign I've made him. The Ravenclaw seeker puts up a good fight, but in the end Draco comes back to the field with the golden snitch in his hand. The stands erupt in loud cheers and applauses. I go down to the field to meet Draco and congratulate him.

"Draco!" I shout from across the field.
"Hey y/n, you made it" he says with a smile approaching me.
"Of course" I say wrapping my arms around him. I can feel him tense up, I'm guessing he's not used to the affection, but I can slowly feel him ease into the hug as he wraps his arms around my waist accepting the hug.
"What's this?" he asks pointing the the sign that I've made for him.
"Oh- yeah I made you this," I say letting out a small chuckle a little embarrassed. "It seemed like you really wanted me to be here, so I thought what better way to show my support."
"Oh" he lets out a quiet laugh. "Its-nice" he says looking down at it with a smile.
"It's yours you know? To keep," I say handing it to him.
"Thanks," he says sending me a warm smile as he accepts it.
"I'll see you back in the common room?"
He nods in agreement as he turns back to join his team.
~~~~~~~~
The boys and I head back to the common room to wait for Draco. Once we arrive in the common room we're greeted with loud music and a room full of happy Slytherins. There's green banners and balloons hanging all throughout the room along with red solo cups in everyones hands, which I can only assume is filled with alcohol.
"I'll go get us some drinks," Blaise says shouting over the loud music.
I nod and go sit on the couch while I wait for him. He comes back with 2 drinks in his hand handing me one filled with vodka.
"So, what'd you think about Draco? He's good huh?" Blaise says smiling at me.
"Yeah he's great-" I feel someones cold hands cover my eyes from behind me and start to panic. I start prying at the hands that are covering my eyes.
"Ok, whoever this is what you're doing isn't funny" I say getting angry.
I hear a small chuckle escape Blaises' mouth as I continue to grab at the hands on my face.
"Blaise?! Why are you laughing? Help me!" Finally the cold hands leave my face and I feel the same person rest their chin on my shoulders from behind. I turn over to see Dracos face resting on my shoulder our faces only inches away. No doubt he's cocky right now from having won the game, feeling like he can do whatever he wants.
"Come with me to the astrology tower?" Draco asks downing his drink.
Great. He's already drunk.
"Hmm, no I don't think so, you seem quite drunk and not yourself" I've never seen him like this before, so I don't know what to expect.
"I though you might say that. Blaise if you will," Draco says gesturing towards me as he stands up. Blaise gets up as well and lifts me off the couch.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING! PUT ME DOWN!"
"Sorry Draco's orders" He says placing me on Draco's back.
"Come on y/n loosen up," Draco says grabbing my legs as I place my arms around his neck.
"I don't have a choice do I?" I say with a playful smile.
"Nope" he says walking out of the common room with me on his back.
"Wow I like this Draco. He's fun and not uptight" I say ruffling his hair.
"Oh, shut it."
"So, where are we going the astronomy tower?" I ask as we go down the corridor.
"Yes, we're going to go look at the stars," he says brightly.
"Sounds good to me," I say letting out a small chuckle.
Draco finally puts me down as we arrive at the tower and go up the stairs. We both lay down on our backs and look up at the starts through the hole that's on top of the tower. I love this side of Draco he's so carefree and I know he's just drunk but it's nice to see him happy for once. He's usually a rude stickup git. As we lay there looking at the stars and pointing out our favorite ones I feel his cold hand reach for my hand and instantly flinch my hand away. I'm taken aback, why is Draco doing this? Why is he being kind to me? Me? Why me?
"I was just-" he starts, but I don't let him finish as I intertwine my hand with his sending him a small smile. He too smiles at me causing butterflies to flutter madly in my stomach. Butterflies? Uh oh.
A beta life
I heard the boys voice before i saw his face. It sounded like the smooth rehearsed kind of voice you hear in the movies, from the dream boat lead character with the too-good-to-be-true looks. I raised my eyes to search for the owner of the beautiful sound.My eyes met his just as he came into view.He stopped in his tracks, bumping into one of the med students he was following, staring straight at Me. "Mate" he said just loud enough for the huge man behind him to stop and stare in the direction of the boys gaze.I felt a sickening feeling deep in my stomach. I had never felt anything like it before, the instant feeling of nausea followed by what i can only describe as a rush of emotion. What a trip. The meds are extra strong today I laughed to myself as I continued to stare at the beautiful dark haired boy.This institution just got a whole lot better if he is a patient
