Ram's pov:

I wanted to surprise ankitha for her birthday but didn’t know what to do. I don’t want to do something cheesy but wanted to impress her. I was planning for her birthday for weeks now. I got all her gifts when she was working and planned for a surprise party on her birthday with our family and friends. Hope she likes her surprise and enjoy her day.

Ankitha’s pov:

Today was my birthday. Ram woke me up exactly at 12 at night and wished me good night and he went to sleep. Though i was little disappointed that he didn’t give me any gift, i was happy that he was the first one to wish me. After he went, my parents called and wished me following rams parents. I went to sleep again with smile on my face.

Next day i woke up with smell of freshly brewed coffee and egg. When i opened my eyes, i saw ram waiting for me with a breakfast tray on hand. He had himself made bacon, bread toast and egg omlet for me. Though it was a simple breakfast on bed, i was happy that ram had put effort to make it.

Then after i got ready for the day, ram asked me to take leave for the day and he went to office. Since i didn’t know what to after cleaning our home, i simply was changing channels sitting in front of the T.V.

Suddenly my phone started ringing. I was surprised when my school best friend manya whose contact i have lost, called me and asked me to meet her in the near by cafe. Since i had nothing to do, i went to meet her. We catched up about our life and she wished me for my birthday and gave me two gifts. When i looked at her questioningly, she simply asked me to open and see it and left.

One gift had her name and other didn’t have any name, so i opened it first. I was shocked. It was a photo frame with me and ram in it when we first met in the hospital. Other gift had a love bird and a card from manya. I immediately called ram and he picked in second ring. I didn’t know what to say to him but before i say anything, he asked me to go to my parents house for my next gift. My eyes welled up and i just asked how?

He told me that he got the photo from the hospital cctv camera. I immediately went to my parents home. They welcomed me, wished me and gave me a gift. I opened it to find a cute teddy with a note in it. It said

YOU CAN SLEEP WITH IT FOR NOW TILL WE SLEEP TOGETHER and next stop in my parents house.

I immediately blushed reading it and went to my in laws home. Their gift had a beautiful gold chain with diamond pendent with a note saying go to our home’s poja room. I immediately went to our home from there and in our poja room there was a beautiful anklet and a small idol of my favorite god and a note to go to ram’s bed room. There on the bed was a gift with a note to go to the church near by and there a shop owner came and gave me a bouquet of roses.

Like this he gave me 21 gifts in different places from different people as follows:

1. Photo frame.

2. Teddy bear.

3. Chain with diamond pendent.

4. Anklet.

5. Roses.

6. Chocolate.

7. Handbag.

8. Gift coupon to have lunch in a star hotel that afternoon.

9. Perfume.

10. Ear ring.

11. A saree.

12. Ticket to my favourite movie.

13. Glass bangles.

14. Slipper.

15. Mobile cover.

16. An autograph from my favourite singer SPB.

17. A pencil sketch drawn by ram himself.

18. Watch

19. An album with my photos from childhood till now.

20. A wish which i can ask ram anytime.

21. A cd with wishes from all our friends and relatives.

Finally when i got my last gift, ram called and asked me to get ready and to wear the saree he gave me. I got ready and waited for ram to come home but in the evening, not only he came but all our friends came. We had party in our home and i didn’t get anytime to talk to ram alone. Finally at 11.30 in night everyone left. As soon as they went i hugged ram from behind and said thank you.

He turned around and took my face in his hand and leaned in to kiss me and met him half way and had my first kiss. I thought my twenty second birthday gift was the kiss but he had other plans...

Guess what was his gift.....
