Ankitha's pov:

I was fully crying when ram came and sat next to me. He cupped my face and wipped my tears and told me that he was sorry and he didnt mean to upset me and kept telling me sorry. And for the love of my life i couldnt speak anything and so i just simply hugged him. Ram tensed for a moment but then hugged me back. We stayed in each others arms in silence for god knows how long. Eventually I pulled myself from rams arm and looked down since I couldn't look at his face.

Ram gently lifted my chin making me to look into his eyes and kissed me on my forehead. I closed my eyes to saviour the moment. After waiting for so long and finally when ram was showing his affection, i couldn’t believe it.

Then ram slowly scooped me into his arms and made me sit on his lap and gave me the cake again. On seeing the cake my eyes filled again. And the reason was, on top of the cake we made, beautifully written in ram’s handwriting was the following words,

“BE MINE FOREVER"

Though it was not filmy words like I Love You, those were enough for me to understand ram’s feelings. He wanting me to be with him forever was the last thing i expected to hear from him but nevertheless i was very happy. I know we still have long way to go but today was the beginning for our life journey together.

Then we both watched the movie while ram fed me the cake. That night we both didn’t sleep. After our movie was over, Ram asked me sorry for treating me bad and told me that he will never rise his hand against me. That night was filled with more promises like he will do everything to make this marriage work, he will take me to more dates in future, we will always have atleast one meal together every day, that he will always tell me how he feels and never lie or hide anything to me unless it is to surprise me later, etc.

Hearing those words i started laughing. After talking for long time about each other, we watched the sunrise together from our living room window. The next day ram didnt go to work and we both slept in till afternoon and then we ordered our food from outside and had.

Ram true to his words,fulfilled all his promises. Its going to be 3 months after our date thatt day. We went to many dates after that and we still always have our dinner together. All these days i felt lonely though ram was with me. But now my life seems to be fulfiled. Though we didnt share the intimacy between a husband and wife, we both are still happy. I now understand the difference between love and sex. Marriage is not only about physical intimacy between two people, it is about the intimacy which should be felt by our souls, trust between two people and now we both started trusting and respecting each other.

I have now finished my studies and started working in rams company only. And i was very excitedly looking forward to this weekend as it was my birthday. Before i never expected anything from ram but now even his simple good morning makes me feel happy throughout the day.
