At 8 am, I am woken by the phone. I pull the phone off the nightstand and see a message in the inbox. I open it and see an email from Harry.

Jai looks at me. "Where are you going?" He asks as I make my way over to the closet.

I go through the closet looking for something to wear. I pull out a black pencil skirt and white blouse. "I'm going to Wilson Inc. Harry, my old boss is in Los Angeles."

He climbs out of bed and walks over to me. "If he doesn't give you a job, you can work for me at the bar again. I know you love that place."

He's right I do love the bar. It was the first place that I thought I belonged when I returned to the city that I missed for eight years.

Sometimes, I wonder how I survived that long in a city that I didn't feel like I belonged to.

I just hope that Nate won't feel that way.

Jai wraps his arms around me and he begins to kiss my neck. He whispers. "Do you have to go?"

"Yes," I push him away and I get changed. I tie my hair in a bun and walk out the bedroom door.

Breakfast is set on the table when I get to the kitchen. I take a seat and look at the assorted food that's on the table. There's toast, jelly, butter, cereal, fruit salad pancakes and eggs.

The food on this table could feed an army. I don't know why there's so much when it's only Jai and I that live in this mansion.

Jai walks into the kitchen and he takes a seat next to me. "My brother is coming over with a few of his friends this morning. We're going to play football in the park if you want to watch."

"What time are you playing?"

He shrugs. "I don't know. I will text you when I'm on the way to the park."

"Okay,"

After breakfast, I walk upstairs and brush my teeth.

As I'm about to leave the doorbell rings and I open the door. Jai's brother is blocking my exit. I yell. "Jai, you're brothers here." I turn my attention back to the brother. "Excuse me," he steps aside and I walk out of the house. "Have good game boys." I climb in the car and drive toward downtown LA where Wilson Inc is located.

In downtown LA I see metal fences being placed close to the Chinese Gardens. There's a poster with Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper.

Another movie those two have starred. I think that's the sixth movie that they've been in together.

My favourite movie with those two would have to be Silver Linings Playbook. To some people it was stupid, but it was entertaining for me.

I pull the car into the parking garage of Wilson Inc. I pick up my handbag and climb out of the car.

A secretary looks at me as I enter the foyer. She smiles. "Can I help you?"

"I'm here to see Harry Wilson. I'm Chloe Knight."

She types something on the computer. "I'm sorry, he's not expecting to meet with you."

I pull my phone out of my bag and I call him.

I hang up the phone and look at the woman. "He'll be right down." I walk over to a seat and sit.

A couple of minutes pass and he isn't here yet. I tap my feet on the ground and wait for him to step out of the lift. The door to the lift opens and he steps out.

Harry looks at me and smiles. "Chloe," he walks over to me and gives me a hug. He pulls away shortly after. "You look good, Chloe."

I smile. "Thanks, Har."

He takes my hand. "Do you want to see my office?"

"Sure," he presses the button for the lift and the doors open. We step inside. The lift takes us to the 30th floor where his office is.

A few girls look at me as I walk with Harry to his office. I hear a girl say. "Who is the girl with Harry?"

Harry looks at her and says. "This is Chloe Knight. She used to work closely with me in New York. She's one of the best employees I ever had. It was hard letting her go." He walks away from the girls and they start to gossip over what they heard.

I sit across from Harry as he sits behind his desk. "This office looks great. Are you going to leave the office in New York and come here?"

He shakes his head. "My home is in New York and that's where I intend to stay." A smile spreads across his face. "You seem a lot happier in Los Angeles."

"I am, Harry. This place has brought me back to life. I felt like I was barely living in New York. I still feel bad that I had to leave without warning."

Harry reaches across the table and touches my hand. "I understand, Chloe. I was angry at first, but my wife talked to me and she said 'It's not the end of the world that Chloe left. Jobs come and go. Family is important to some people and the way Chloe spoke fondly of hers it was no surprise that she would stay in Los Angeles with her siblings.' I can't hire you back, since you're pregnant."

How does he know?

He rises. "I have seen you place your hand on your stomach a number of times. My wife has been doing that since she became pregnant. She's having our second child in December."

A smile spreads across my face. "That's great. Congratulations, Harry. Is she here?"

He nods. "She's at the hotel right now. Knowing Harley she would love to see you before we go back to New York." Harry pulls out a piece of paper and pen. He writes something on it. "This is my wife's number. Call her tonight."

I rise. "I will." I hug him. "It was good seeing you again Harry." I walk out of the office and the girls whisper things as I walk away.

At the park, I see Jai in the middle talking to five other guys. They nod there head at whatever Jai said.

Those guys listen to him.

I walk over to the bleachers where a woman is sitting with her children.

She looks at me as I take a seat. "Are you dating anyone on the field?"

"Yeah," I point to Jai. "The guy with the dark hair, dark eyes, tanned skin, muscular body. He's all mine and his name is Jai Marshall."

I hope she has a guy on the team and she's not here to find her next one nightstand.

She rises. "C'mon, Dylan. We have to go." She pulls her son away from the football field.

Why is she running away after I told her I was with Jai?
