I am lying on a beach towel next to the lake when I hear a car pull into the parking lot.

Jai.

Rising I gather my towel. I walk to the parking lot and see Jai and Nate step out of the car.

Jai looks around and a smile spreads across his face when he sees me.

Running over to him I give him a hug. "I missed you so much."

Jai laughs. "Me, too." He lifts me up and I wrap my legs around him. He kisses me.

The kiss gets heated and I pull away after a couple of minutes to catch my breath.

Jai lets me go and I turn towards my brother. "Hey, bro."

Nate nods. "I'm going to check in, Jai."

At least my brother acknowledged me. That's a step in the right direction, I hope.

Jai puts his arm around me. "Show me to our room." He looks me over. "With the small number of clothes you have you've made me..."

Covering his mouth with my hand, I say. "I know. Let's go upstairs and you can show me how much you've missed me too."

Jai pulls his stuff out of the trunk and he follows me to my room. He puts his stuff by the bed.

I help Jai take his shirt and pants off. I run my hand up his six-pack. I whisper. "You look better without clothes on." I pull away from him. "You can take the lead on this. I bite my bottom lip.

A couple of hours later, I am lying in bed with Jai after we made love. He really did miss me while I was gone.

Jai opens his eyes and he kisses my head. "What do you want to do now?"

I look at his gorgeous chocolate brown eyes and say. "I need a shower. I smell and..." I sniff him. "So, do you."

He laughs. "We should shower together. I don't think we should wastewater."

"Let's go."

Jai and I step into the shower. He pulls me into him and we start to make out again.

Pulling away I lather up the loafer and wash him first. Then he washes me.

Jai steps out of the shower first and he pulls two towels out of the cupboard and he gives me one.

Wrapping it around my body I follow him into the bedroom. I put on a skirt and t-shirt.

When we walk out of the room I see Nate leaning against a wall talking to a girl and she's blushing at whatever he is saying. He pulls away when he sees me. He winks at her and walks over to us. "I have an appointment with the counsellor soon."

That's good. He's going to need someone to talk to as he's not talking to me.

Jai puts his hand on his shoulder. "You need to talk to someone, especially after everything that has happened since Aleysa passed away."

Nate looks at the time. "I should be going." He walks away.

"Jai," he turns towards me. "There's something I need to tell you."

"What?" He looks around the hall. "Did you cheat on me?"

I laugh. "No, nothing like that. I took Mom's diary with me and I found something that you need to see."

"Are you sure?"

"What I have to show you is important. I don't know how, but this thing isn't lying." I pull him back into the room and I pull my laptop out of my bag and put the flash drive-in.

Jai looks at me. "Why are there kids on this flash drive? Do they have something to do with your parent's old lives?"

"Yes, they do." I push play. "Now, watch."

The video of Jai introducing himself comes onto the screen. He looks at me. "Is that you?"

"Yes," I turn towards him. "Apparently, we knew each other a long time ago. Which means your parents can fill me in on things that I need to know, but why didn't your parents say anything?"

Jai looks away from me. "Your last name was James?"

"I think so. Why?"

"At night Mom and Dad used to tell me stories about a couple that did bad things, but it was also for the good of the country that they did those things." He frowns. "I wish I could remember being friends, but I don't. I'm sorry."

Touching his arm, I say. "That's alright. You might remember something sooner then you think. I had a flashback after watching this of us together." I go through the files until I come across the one with a lake. "Watch this one."

Last night before I went to bed I went through more videos on the flash drive and there was like ten more videos of Jai and me.

He looks at me. "I'm going to call my parents and ask them about it."

"I think we should talk to them when we get home."

"Okay," he rises. "What do you want to do now?"

"I was thinking about going treetop walking."

"They have that here?"

"Yes,"

"I'm willing to do anything with my fiancé."

He takes my hand and we walk out of the room.

We walk 5km until we end up at the beginning of the treetop walk.

I pull my phone out of my pocket and take photos of Jai as he walks across the bridge.

He takes the phone from me and takes a couple of me.

Then we ask a couple that was walking behind us if they could take a photo of us and they do. They ask the same of us and I take a photo of them.

As we continue the walk the bridge gets higher off the ground and I point out the Golden Gate Bridge.

Jai smiles. "Since we're in San Francisco I think we should visit that and a few other places before we go back to Los Angeles."

"Okay," I wrap my arms around him. "I'm sorry I wasn't there for the wake. I feel bad that I skipped it." I look at the ground.

Jai lifts my chin to make me look him in the eye. "Don't be. You had too much on your plate and you were right to leave." He looks at me closely. "Being here has been good for you. Before you left you were depressed and it was hard for you to smile. Here you have a little spark back. It's going to take time before you feel like yourself again and I will be by your side, every step of the way."

"Thank you,"

As we continue to walk across the bridge it starts to rain.

The couple that was close to us starts to run, while Jai and I walk.

By the time we finish the treetop walk, we are soaked, but the sun is shining on us now.

If I get a cold from this it will be worth it.

Nate walks out of the Counselor's office and he looks at us. "What happened to you?"

"We did the treetop walk. It decided to rain while we were halfway through it." Jai says. "We need to get changed. We'll meet you downstairs at dinner."

Jai lifts me up and carries me through the building, to our room.

In the room, he gives me a towel and I dry myself.
