《Return • Todoroki ff》Chapter 13

"Shoto-san," Suzuki, Todoroki's sidekick called out as she walked into his office.
Todoroki looked up from his files and at his sidekick who seemed to be in deep thoughts.
"What is it?"
"Um.... The hero department in America just called the agency and requested that we complete your transfer to America by the week after next week."
"You have got to be kidding me."
"Unfortunately not. They said that they emailed you the details as well. You should check your inbox."
"I- Okay you can go out first Suzuki," She nodded and walked out of the office closing the door behind her.
As soon as she left Todoroki switched on his laptop to check his inbox. When he opened his inbox the first thing he saw was titled, 'Transfer to the hero department in America' and when he clicked in. The information inside was the exact same as what Suzuki had told him just now. However, the email stated the reason as to why the transfer was brought forward.
As Todoroki read through the details of the email he cursed under his breath while thinking about how he should break the news to Niko.
As Todoroki was racking his brains, Niko was enjoying her life as she had just woken up.
"Niko?" Akari said when she saw Niko walking out of her room.
"Why are you still here? Don't you have to go to the company?"
"I gave everyone a break after making them work overtime yesterday. Work starts again on Monday," Niko said as she walked down the stairs towards the kitchen to get water.
"Also why are you still here? Didn't you tell me your shop opens at 10am?"
"My shop is closed on Thursdays."
"Oh. What a coincidence," Niko said as she poured water out from the jug and into her cup.
"Do you want to go shopping with me today?"
"I don't see why I can't."
"Great! I'll meet you in the living room at 11.40am," Akari replied as she went up to the room with Niko going up shortly after.
Niko closed her room door as she grabbed her towel and her clothes and walked into the bathroom to take a quick shower before going to her dresser and drying her hair. As soon as she was done drying her hair she tied her hair up into a high ponytail and grabbed her handbag from her clothes rack near the door. She walked down the stairs to the living room where Akari was already at.

"Are you done?" Akari asked and Niko nodded as a reply. Akari gave her a smile in return before walking to the front door to put on her shoes.
"Are you gonna drive?" Niko asked as she tied her shoelaces and Akari nodded as she opened the front door and walked towards her car.
"Where are we going first?"
"I was thinking that we should go get mum her birthday gift first since her birthday is next Tuesday."
"But what are we going to get her it's not like mum doesn't have all the things she need already."
"We can make her a customized perfume?"
"Oo that sounds cool. But did you book the place already?"
"Of course."
"But I don't think she can finish using two perfumes now can she."
"Actually the package I bought includes the making of perfume and pottery."
"Okay so are you going to do perfume or pottery?"
"I think pottery."
"Okay so I'll do perfume."
"Wait so you bought the package for two things even though you were only going to do one?" Akari nodded in reply as she was driving.
"Wow okay," Niko replied amused by what her sister had done.
The conversation continued from there and stopped when Akari had parked her car.
"We're here," Akari announced as she unlocked the car door and got off with Niko following suit.
The walk towards the shop was quite short and when they entered the employee asked for the details of the person who had booked the particular time slot.
"The person who is doing perfumery can go into the room on the right and the person doing pottery can go into the room on the left," The employee said pointing towards a hallway with doors.
"I'll see you in the waiting room when you're done," Akari said as she opened the door into the pottery room and Niko nodded before closing the door.
Niko walked over to where the instructor was took a seat in front of her.
"Hello, I supposed you're the one who chose to do perfumery?" The instructor asked and Niko nodded in reply.

"Okay so you can call me Mina, and before we start I'll tell you some of the things to be aware of."
"First of all, instead of smelling directly from the bottle of scents you should open the cap of the bottle and waft so you can smell the scent," The instructor said demonstrating as she opened the cap of the bottle and wafted.
"Okay you can start making your perfumes now. You're allowed to make four perfumes as the package states. Call me if you need any help." The instructor said before walking back to her desk and working on her own perfume.
'Who should I make the perfumes for....' I thought as I opened the box of scents.
'One for mum, one for myself, one for Akira and one more...'
'Shoto?' Niko thought.
'I guess I could since I have no one else in mind.'
Before I started pouring the scents into each bottle I thought about how each perfume should smell like.
"Rose for myself. Fruity for mum and Soft floral for Akira." I mumbled as I poured the different scents that was required to make each perfume.
"For Shoto....Vanilla?" I said as I poured in the scents that made the perfume smell like vanilla.
"Um instructor Mina? I am done."
"That was fast. I guess you can go over to the packaging section and once you're done you can leave," She said before going back to pouring the scents into her perfume bottle.
I grabbed the four bottles of perfume and walked over to the packaging section and started to put each perfume into its box. I wrapped a purple ribbon for mum's box, a sky blue one for my own, pink for Akira's and a red and white one for Shoto's. As soon as I was done I grabbed a bag and placed the four boxes inside and walked out of the room after thanking instructor Mina. I walked to where the waiting area was and sat down on the couch and took out my phone when it started to ring. I looked at the caller ID and it showed "Shoto"
"Why is he calling me at this timing.." Nonetheless I picked up.
"Hello?"
"Niko are you free for dinner later tonight? I have something to tell you."
"Sure. I have something to give you as well."
"Okay I'll see you at xxx restaurant at 7.30pm."
"Okay," I replied and ended the call after that.
"Niko are you done?"
"Yep are you?" Akira nodded and they walked out of the shop and towards Akira's car.
"Niko, what time is it?"
"Um 1pm."
"Okay we can go grocery shopping and we should be in time to pick Asahi up from school. I promised him yesterday that I would bring him to eat sushi," Akira said as she started the car and drove out of the parking lot and Niko hummed in reply and she switched on her phone to scroll through social media.
By the time they had reached UA, Asahi was already outside waiting for them and when he saw his sister's white car he walked towards it and opened the door to the passenger's seat.
"Asahi, how was school?" Niko asked and Asahi looked at the rear mirror to see his sister sitting at the backseat looking at him.
"Why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be working?"
"I gave everyone in the company two days off," Asahi made an O with his mouth as a reply.
"School was fine. Aizawa-sensei said that the ex students will be coming back to give us a pep talk and have a duel with us."
"Are you amongst them?"
"Er yes obviously."
"Well you're gonna lose," Asahi said as he stuck his tongue out at Niko.
"Why you little-"
"Don't fight. The both of you are already old enough to not get into such childish arguments," Akira said
Since the two younger siblings didn't want to get in trouble with their older sister, they kept their mouth shut until they reached the sushi place which was rather close to UA.
