《Return • Todoroki ff》Chapter 5

Asahi groaned when he heard his stomach rumble for the fifth time within one hour and he started to wonder if something bad happened to his sister.
"My god where is she... The nearest store isn't that far away that she needs one hour to get back.." Asahi muttered under his breath.
As he was pacing around the room the door to the main entrance opened and he immediately looked over to see his sister taking off her shoes. He sighed in relief and walked towards her.
"What took you so long! You had me worried!" Asahi exclaimed as he took the groceries from his sister.
"There was some raid or whatever not on the street."
"Oh my god are you okay?!" Asahi asked as he started to inspect his sister to see if she had any injuries and Niko giggled at her brother's action.
As much as she hated her brother because he was annoying. She couldn't help but love him more when he acted like he was the older one.
"Calm down Asahi I am fine. Now let's go make you some ramen!" Niko said as he pushed Asahi to the kitchen.
"If you say so...." He muttered under his breath as he allowed his sister to push him to the kitchen.
A moment later, Asahi was attracted by the ramen smell from the kitchen and it was like he didn't have control of his feet when he walked into the kitchen.
"Are you doneeeeee I am hungry!!" Asahi said as he watched his sister pour the noodles into the bowl.
"Yes yes I am done." Niko replied shaking her head at how impatient her brother was.
Her brother grabbed the utensils from the drawer and took the bowl of ramen to the dining room where he gobbled the noodles down like he didn't eat for a long time. Niko laughed as she took a seat in the seat in front of her brother.
"Hey Asahi." Niko called and her brother raised his head from the bowl to look at his sister.
"What do boys like?" Asahi almost choked when Niko asked that question.
"Niko are you sure you're okay? Are you sure that the villain didn't hit you with some quirk that makes you go crazy?" Asahi asked putting down his chopsticks.

"Yes yes I am fine. I just want to get a gift for this old friend.." Niko said as she placed a strand of her loose brown hair from her bun behind her ear.
"Old friend?" Asahi repeated and started to recall all the guys he knew were Niko's friend.
"Don't tell me it's Todoroki Shoto?" Asahi asked after he remembered that the only guy he knew that Niko always mentioned was the dual haired boy.
Niko's face went red and Asahi took that as a sign that his guess was correct.
"Didn't you break up with him like 3 years ago? Why do you want a gift for him."
"Asahi don't ask so much! Just tell me." Niko stated as she shot death glares at her brother to prevent him from asking any more questions.
"Okok calm down." Asahi said as he placed both his hands up as a sign to show his sister that he surrendered.
"Hmmm I think he'll like something handmade? I don't know I feel that if you want to give someone something, something handmade would seem sincere." Asahi said picking up his chopsticks once again to continue eating.
'Handmade..'
'Then again I am not the best with stuff that requires arts and craft' I thought as I took my hair out of the loose bun.
"Earth to Niko!" Asahi said as he waved his hands in front of me and I turned my attention to him.
"If you need ideas I think you can get him some handmade accessory or like idk a shirt he could wear?" Asahi suggested as he ate the remaining noodles that were left in the bowl before bringing it to the kitchen.
I thought about it for a while and decided that I could make him a bracelet or a ring.
Honestly I didn't know why I was doing this it wasn't even confirmed that we would be together but I felt that I had to do something for him.
With that I left the dining room and went up to my room. I closed the door behind me once I was inside the room.
I walked over to the table I had opposite my bed and sat on the chair, switching my laptop on and searching how to make accessories. But I found a shop that taught people how to make accessories instead so I looked for the contact details I noted it down.

'Maybe the two of us could go make one together..' I pinned the contact details onto a board I had hanging on my desk. I checked the clock on my laptop and saw that it was 2pm.
'I guess I could do some work and take an afternoon nap. I can still make it in time right..?' I questioned myself but still did what I said.
I started to work on a document that needed to be done but I guess I lost track of time because I ended up doing the document until it was around 4.30pm and I sighed knowing that I wouldn't be able to get my afternoon nap after all. I closed my laptop and grabbed my towel as I walked to the bathroom to take a shower.
As I stepped out of the bathroom I wore a white chiffon blouse with long high waisted jeans. I walked over to the dresser so I could dry my hair but my brother came in as I was drying halfway.
"Yo Niko. Todoroki is here." Asahi said as he walked in and took a seat on my bed. I nodded my head as a reply and continued to dry my hair.
"Hey Niko." Asahi called out and I turned my hairdryer off as I turned in his direction brushing my hair.
"Do you like Todoroki or something?"
"I-" I didn't know what to say. Do I like him? I honestly have no idea.
"I don't know.." I said trailing off as I brushed my hair up into a ponytail.
"You should probably decide soon don't keep the guy waiting." Asahi said as he walked out of my room.
"I don't recall him caring so much about my love life in the past.." I mumbled as I took my phone and walked downstairs to see Shoto sitting on the couch using his phone.
"Todoroki." I said as walked towards him.
"Oh you're here. Let's go then." Shoto said as he placed his phone in his pocket and stood up to walk to the door.
"Niko what time will you be home?" Asahi questioned when he saw me walking towards the door.
"I don't know and why do you care?" Asahi shrugged in reply.
"Maybe I won't come back who knows." I stated as I wore my sneakers.
"Niko that isn't very appropriate now is it." Asahi said as he crossed his arms and I giggled in response
"Alright alright I was just kidding calm down Asa. I'll come home after dinner okay?" I said as I gave him a pat on his head and he nodded his head in reply.
Shoto smiled at us before he walked out of the door with me following behind him closely as we walked towards his car.
"After you." He said as he opened the door to the passenger seat. I thanked him and got into the car closing the door.
The car ride to Shoto's apartment was silent until the dual haired boy decided to speak.
"Just so you know we are not going to that old man's house."
"Oh? I thought you were staying with him?"
"I moved out shortly after we graduated from high school."
Niko didn't reply after he said that because it reminded her of what she did right after they graduated high school and for some reason she felt sorry. She never wanted the break up to happen but back then she was young and naive and she completely believed in whatever Endeavour told her which basically was her holding Shoto back from becoming a pro hero and that her quirk was not strong enough to be of match to his son.
When Shoto saw that Niko didn't reply after that he didn't say much and returned his attention to the road. But after a while he heard a noise from the back of his car so he turned around when the car stopped to check if everything was okay and to his surprise Niko had fallen asleep.
'It isn't even a long car ride and she fell asleep so fast I guess she really is tired.' Shoto thought to himself and returned his attention to the road shortly after that.
Within a few minutes the car stopped in front of an apartment. Shoto parked his car in the parking lot before walking to the passenger seat to attempt to wake Niko up.
To be continued...

In the world of Masks and Capes
The DC universe has been trampled time and time again. Although certainties have been fixed, there would be one to settle the raging sea of chaos and bring balance. To introduce the raging drunken idiot of the former clan, into the world of Heroes and Villains. (A bit of a mix over along with some things, but mostly on DC) (Please note, MC is intentionally written as an idiot. Dumb decisions will be exaggerated...)
