Haven just couldn't believe her eyes. What was she really seeing? She blinked once,

She blinked a third time, but she was still there. The beautiful woman staring back at her.

Haven couldn't believe what she was seeing. She still blinked a couple of more times after that to make sure she really was not seeing things.

" Wow.." She heard Alena say breathlessly. " Oh Selene... How can someone be this beautiful ???" Alena gushed, her eyes glued at Haven's reflection in the mirror. Haven didn't blame her, even she was at a lost for words for what she was seeing.

Haven stared at the beautiful girl who was staring back at her — no not girl, the beautiful woman. She looked totally different, completely different from herself. Alena had plaited both sides of her silver hair, joining them at the center to make one big braid which she let down her back. The silver braid stopped just before her waist. She had added some blue stones carefully on her hair, making the hairstyle look even more beautiful.

She had also kept Haven's makeup really simple, as simple as she could — and that made Haven look even more beautiful. Alena had padded her face and applied a little mascara on Haven's long lashes. She then topped it off with a little touch of red lipstick. The lipstick was not too much, not too small. Just the right amount to make her lips come alive and look extremely alluring to anyone who was looking.

" You look so beautiful Haven!!" Alena who was standing behind her , placing her hands on Haven's exposed shoulder, as she gushed out loudly.

" I wished I looked this beautiful when I first attended my own Moon Ball" Alena said pouting her lips which made Haven grin.

" Hey, hurry hurry it's almost time now, get up" Alena said urging her up.

" Wait! I left Raphael in the room. I'll go check up on him while you finish getting ready okay?" She didn't even wait as she turned and hurriedly walked out of the room, mumbling some words in the process.

'Typical Alena' Haven smiled shaking her head at Alena's behavior. Being pregnant really had it's own perks.

She turned once more to look at herself in the mirror. Haven was always under the impression that she was beautiful, not until she saw herself right now.

' Get yourself together Haven' she reminded herself as she tried to focus.

' I'm finally going to get my freedom tonight. The Moon Ball will be the best distraction. Everyone will be so busy that no one will notice her running away. This was her only chance at freedom.'

' Alpha Lucious, just you watch and see. I'll run away for sure" A smirk formed on Haven's lips. After tonight, you will never be able to tie me to yourself ever again."

" Oh wow! Somebody's looking so handsome tonight" Alena chuckled entering her room. She saw Raphael standing as he battled with some of his buttons. He was wearing the dark brown tuxedo she had specially picked out for him for the night. It fitted his well worked out body perfectly, making Alena roll her eyes .

" Raph, i really am already regretting asking you to even wear this" Alena frowned coming up to him to help him button his shirt.

" Why?" Raphael asked seeing his mate walked towards him.

" Leave it" She mumbled lightly , hitting away his hands and putting hers on his shirt instead. " You're looking so fine, I'm even thinking twice about sending you out there"

" All those Mateless girls rubbing their filthy scents over his his sweet one. Alena didn't even like the idea of that one bit.

Raphael burst into laughter hearing what his mate had just said " What the hell are you talking about Alena? You're not sending me out there your highness" He joked.

" It's beta queen to you mister" She said glaring up at him.

Raoahel looked down at his mate " What's wrong ?" He could feel his mate's foul mood.

" Nothing" She replied sharply. Now Raphael definitely knew something was up.

" I know it's something. Come on Alena, talk to me" He urged, worry started forming on his face . " Wait are you okay?! Alena talk to me , is anything wrong??! Is it the baby??" He half yelled pulling her away from himself at arms–length to examine her. Raphael was confused, everything seemed normal.

Alena chuckled hearing this. " No no! Stop overreacting Raph" She hit his playfully. Raphael laughed pulling his mate into a hug. He rested his chin on the top of her head.

" Okay then, tell me, what is it?" He asked calmly.

Alena pursed her lips before she replied. " I don't want to let you go" She whined " You're looking so good, I don't want any woman near you" She unintentionally growled without realizing it. Raphael pulled her away to take a better look at the shorter woman before him.

Raphael looked at his possessive mate " Huh? Another woman? So that's why you're in such a foul mood?" He looked at her, an amused expression on his handsome face.

Raphael shook his head." Alena? why are you even talking like that? You very well know I wouldn't even spare any other woman a glance. Let alone let them be near me"

Alena knew. She just couldn't help.the jealousy bubbling up from within her. As she couldn't go with him and be by his side, she didn't want any other woman to come closer to her mate.

" I know" She said hugging him more tightly. Raphael released her from the hug as he crouched down on one knee,

" Hey baby, can you hear your mother? She's really getting much more annoying these days" He said to her stomach making Alena frown a little. Raphael rubbed her bulging stomach before he stood up.

" Besides why will I even do that? When I have the most beautiful and loving mate in the whole world?" He hugged her back , kissing her forehead gently.

" I love you and always you okay? " Raphael suddenly said.

" I love you too" Alena murmured, she felt much better now.
