《You Belong To My World (Completed!)》Bonus Chapter: February 2020

When Kongpob came back home after a long day of classes at college, he found Arthit was slouching on the small dining table of their apartment, trying to finish his next day's presentation. He had his glasses on and he was squinting his eyes staring at the laptop screen.
There were papers all around him — literally all around him. He was so engrossed in his work, he didn't even realise Kongpob come in.
Kongpob walked towards him and put his hands on Arthit's shoulders. "Arthit, you need to stop working from that damn dining table. Its going to hurt your neck badly someday. Let's just go buy a proper working desk for you tomorrow."
"We don't have space for another table, Kong. The house is already cramped with both of our stuff, " said Arthit without even looking up from his laptop.
Kongpob took a deep breath. He knew exactly where this conversation was headed and he didn't want to start the same argument with Arthit all over again. He didn't have the strength to have the same argument again.
But suddenly his eyes went on the papers lying on the table. They seemed like some property papers. He picked them up and scanned through them while Arthit was still busy working.
"Arthit.. what the hell is this? "
Arthit stopped typing and looked up, trying his best to feign innocence. "Ummm.. the owner was looking to sell the house and I didn't want to move. Plus, I got a great deal actually since the owner always thought this house was haunted"
" Arthit, this apartment is already cramped with all our stuff, you just said this yourself. It is obviously too small for both of us. There is not even space for you to keep a working desk. You are slouching and working on a damn dining table — and "
Arthit took off his glasses in frustration. He had already had a long day and he didn't want to get into this right now. Kongpob wouldn't even understand why Arthit bought this apartment, at least not now.
"I just like this apartment okay, so I bought it. We are not having this conversation again. really don't have the time to level with you right now Kong."

"No, we are absolutely having this conversation right now." Kongpob slammed his hands on the table. His anger was getting the best of him and he couldn't understand what was going on in Arthit's head anymore .
"Arthit, you rented this when you were broke college student and at odds with your family. What is the sense of us staying here anymore? Tell me why one of the richest men in this country is living in a cramped up one bedroom apartment which literally has no space?"
"BECAUSE I WANT TO, OKAY? I AM NOT LEAVING THIS HOUSE. YOU CAN GO IF YOU WANT TO! Now can I please work?"
Kongpob was speechless, not because he was surprised at Arthit's sudden outburst, but because he was hurt. It was the first time Arthit had ever yelled at him. And all for this stupid apartment.
"Arthit.. are you saying that it doesn't matter to you whether I stay here or not? Do you really care about this house more than me?"
Arthit closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He had gone too far and taken out all of his work stress on Kongpob. Of course the apartment was important to him, it was where he met Kongpob for the first time, but it wasn't more important than his Kong, and it definitely wasn't worth seeing the hurt in Kongpob's eyes.
"I am sorry Kong." Arthit cupped Kongpob's cheeks. "I didn't mean any of it. I am really sorry. I have just had a really long day and I took it all out on you."
"Why.. why are you so fixated on this apartment, Arthit? I At least give me a reason so I can understand. "
"I just.. We have so many memories together here, you know"
"We can make new memories wherever you go"
"
Arthit looked down. "You are right but..."
"And how can you just buy a house without even discussing it with me? Arthit, we are engaged. We live together. We are supposed to make these decisions together"
"I know. Its just the previous owner called me suddenly asking us to move so he could sell the place and I didn't want to move."
"
Arthit closed his eyes. He wanted to tell the truth, but it was still too soon. "I need to stay here at least till February, after that we can move and I'll tell you everything. It wont make sense to you even if I try tell you."

"Then make me understand"
"I can't, right now. Kong, I am really sorry for buying this place without telling you and I will tell you everything eventually, can you just trust me for right now?"
Kongpob held Arthit's hand. "Has this got anything do with your dad? Is he trying to target you again?"
"No. No. Its not about him at all. You know he's going to be in jail for the rest of the life."
"Okay." Kongpob sighed. "As long as you are safe and you are happy. But we are circling back to this conversation on the first day of February again. And I will only marry you when you move into a new house with bigger rooms where you can actually setup your home office and work peacefully"
Arthit looked at Kongpob and smiled. He still can't understand how things with Kongpob were always this easy.
"I love you, Kong. Thank you for trusting me." Arthit placed a light peck on his lips.
"I am going to go take a shower and you better be in bed when I get back. Don't work on that damn dining table again."
"Promise"
Kongpob went inside and Arthit's phone buzzed.
Discuss why my soon to be husband is obsessed with a small one bedroom apartment.
"Okay, so things really aren't as easy with Kong, as I thought"
Kongpob woke up when he heard the shower start. Today was supposed to be a lazy Saturday for him and Arthit before he finally starts working in his dad's company from the next week. They had even planned to visit Kongpob's parents for dinner to celebrate, but a sudden call from Arthit's office meant he was going to spent yet another weekend in the office.
By the time Arthit got dressed, Kongpob had already prepped breakfast and coffee for him.
"Kong, you woke up again? I was super careful not to make any noise today."
Kongpob couldn't help but smile. "Just sit down Arthit, and eat before you leave." Arthit sat down and right when he took a sip of his coffee both his and Kongpob's phone buzzed with the same notification
Discuss why my soon to be husband is obsessed with a small one bedroom apartment
Arthit tensed up just looking at the calendar invite of his phone. Future Kongpob had told Arthit that he would wake up one day and remember everything that had happened with them —
Meeting in the apartment, sharing all those beautiful memories and changing the future together. But it was already February 2020 and the Kongpob in front of him definitely didn't remember any of that.
Over the years, Arthit had read up a lot on time travel, trying to find an explanation as to why he was able to see and meet Kongpob in the first place. In his research, he had stumbled across the concept of It states that time isn't a linear straight line. When you change the future by travelling in time, you actually end up creating a whole new multi-verse which is completely different from the initial timeline.
If Kongpob couldn't remember anything, did that mean Arthit had created a new multi-verse -- a whole new timeline where Kongpob will never remember what really went down? And his Kongpob, the Kongpob that he met for the first time in his apartment was in his own world still alone — where Arthit was already dead?
"Arthit?" Kongpob's voice brought Arthit back to reality. "So, are we going to talk about your obsession with this house today?"
Arthit looked up. It was time to come clean whether he wanted to or not.
"Yes. Let me get back from the office. I'll tell you everything honestly. You may not like it, you may think it is crazy, but its time I tell you the truth."
"You are scaring me Arthit. Is everything okay?"
----
A/N: This chapter happens directly before the events of 'The Finale' chapter.
I am too nervous to say this but I have a REALLY AMAZING for a new Arthit & Kongpob fanfic. I have the whole initial plotline setup, its going to be a lot like this fanfic in the sense that it will have some time jumps, a lot of mystery, and Arthit trying to woo Kongpob.
I'll probably start writing it next month.
