I hugged Arthit tightly one more time. I had been to his grave twice in the last week and honestly I never, ever want to see that godawful tombstone again.
"Kong, you are scaring me now. Please tell me what happened?"
"Did you have dinner yet?"
"No, I just told you I was supposed to meet you for a dinner date. I mean the you in my timeline — 2017."
"Cancel that, Arthit. You can't meet me again in your world, not until we sort this thing out. It seems like everytime you meet me, our future changes."
"But what changed Kong? Did we avoid the accident?"
"No it still happened. But a lot of other things changed. Cancel that dinner and order some food. Lets eat and then we'll talk."
I saw Arthit text me in his world to cancel the dinner. It was the same text I saw in my memories. The wheels were already in motion and we needed to stop it.
"Kong, I can't make it to dinner tonight. Something very urgent came up. Lets take a rain check?"
"Okay Kong, I have eaten my dinner and so have you. No please tell me what went so wrong and why were you crying when you got here."
"I'll tell you everything Arthit." I put my hand over his and rubbed my thumb. "But I want you to be calm and patient, okay?"
Arthit flicked my forehead. "Just start talking Kong. You are making me even more nervous. Your warnings are only triggering my anxiety"
"What the hell, Arthit? I am talking about important stuff here"
"Then start talking you idiot. You have been teasing for about an hour now."
"Fine. Listen." I held his hand again. "I dug up the details about my dad's accident. There was a red Mercedes car with a drunk driver that collided with our car. The driver of that car died on the spot, while dad and I were rushed to the hospital.I thought your surname sounded familiar at first and that was because it matched the driver of the car — Maya Rojnapat."

I held Arthit's hand even more tightly. "I know Arthit, I already found out about it. But there's more.
I tried to find you in my world, but you had already died. According to your friends and official reports, you committed suicide because of depression that was triggered after your mom's death."
Looking into Arthit's eyes, I could see he was confused and overwhelmed by all the information I had just given.
"Arthit, look at me. Look me in the eyes. This is something that might happen, but it hasn't happened yet in your world. We can change the future, Arthit."
"But you said we couldn't avoid the accident. It still happened."
"Yes, we haven't been able to do that. But after you met me yesterday, the future changed slightly.
In my original timeline, you were supposed to die on 15th July 2019, but in the changed future, you died on 15th December 2019."
"What? How is that possible?"
"I am not yet sure. But the good news is — It means, your death isn't a permanent event. We can change it."
"What else changed in the future, Kong?"
"I became an action movie star. I have 10 million followers on Instagram and I have a really expensive car which I definitely couldn't afford before."
"Wait a second — Didn't you do romantic movies before?"
"I did. I think it was more of a butterfly effect that happened because we met? I liked you a lot in the past, even when we only met for a day and I could never really get over you."
"Why didn't we meet again Kong?"
I was looking down at the table because I didn't know how to face Arthit.
"You cancelled the dinner date. We could never make any plans after that, but I was excited to see you in college. Then, the accident happened.

I — I found out your mom caused the accident. I recognized your name in your mom's obituary. While I still felt the same for you, I could never get myself to see you again. You tried to reach out to me many times, but I shut you off completely.
I am sorry Arthit. I really am sorry." I couldn't stop my tears from falling. "If I didn't ignore you, you would have been alive in my world"
Arthit moved closer to me and wiped my tears. "Its not your fault, Kong. You didn't directly make those choices, they just happened because we tried to change the future." He hugged me tightly and patted my back.
He was crying too, trying to hide his tears, but he could never hide anything from me.
"I promise I'll save you Arthit." I cupped Arthit's face and placed a light peck on his lips.
"The thing you need to do is convince me in in your world to not go to the dorms with dad."
"I already did that. It didn't work obviously since the accident still happened."
", you need to create a support system Arthit — A group of people close to you who can keep a check on you. Even if the accident still happens, we can save you Arthit, if we get you help at the right time."
"I have some friends Kong and I don't really need help —"
"Arthit, please. Just do this for me. I had these new memories of standing at your funeral with feelings of deep guilt in me. All I could think about was, I could have helped you if I had just reached out to you. I don't ever, ever want to experience that again."
"But Kong, I don't know who to ask and I don't know what to say to them"
"Those friends that came to help you move? Ask them to always keep checking on you even if you go AWOL on them.
And me too. You need to meet the Kongpob in your world and make him promise that he'll always stay in touch with you. I know me, and I never break a promise.
Please Arthit? For me?"
"Okay. I'll talk to them tomorrow.
"It probably will. We also need to be prepared of not being able to meet each other at the apartment. We could just stop seeing each other or I may wake up at a completely different place in the future."
"No. No. NO. We can't do that. We need to do something about it."
"We didn't start the merging of our worlds through this apartment Arthit and we definitely can't end it. Its out of our hands."
"I know, but may be I can talk to you in my world and convince you to take over my apartment if I ever move out? At least we'll both have access to the apartment."
"I don't know if it would work, but we can try.
And Arthit, the thing that we need to do is talk to your mother."

WATTPAD BOOKS EDITIONHow do you trust the ground when all you've known is flight? Seventeen-year-old Corey Ryder can't remember a time when she wasn't gliding through the air of Cirque Mystique's big top. As a trapeze artist in a traveling circus, Corey wakes up every day in a different place, buzzing for the moment she can suspend gravity during the night's performance. When the circus pulls into small-town Sherwood, California, everything seems normal - aside from meeting the exceptionally cute Luke Everett at a local diner. But that night, in the midst of the performance, tragedy strikes and flames overtake the tent. While Corey narrowly escapes, in the ashes of the circus pitch lies the only home she's ever known. Repeatedly thrown out of her comfort zone, Corey must learn how to push toward her future without forgetting her past, what it means to be a daughter to a mother she's never known, and how to navigate the confusing magic of first love, even as she performs the high-wire act of being true to who you really are.

8 141His Little Amelia
"Be more direct, sweetheart.""I just...really want to kiss you right now."-It was as though the sun escorted her wherever she went, her entire self radiated a pleasing, envious aura. Her bubbly persona never ran dry. It had me intrigued, and admittedly a bit infatuated. It also made me feel guilty about being so attracted, being so drawn to a girl that was so young and acted so childishly. But dear oh dear, did I plan on making her mine.-In which a 20-year-old, childish girl encounters rough around edges, military man, Everest Simon who couldn't seem to get her out of his head.
