I am going to change the future for whatever it takes

I hugged Arthit tightly. I wanted to feel him and touch him to make sure my Arthit was alive, right in front of me.

"Really? What changed your mind?," asked Arthit.

I couldn't be completely honest with him, not right now at least, when I didn't have all the details with me.

"I just think if we have a chance like this to save my dad, we should take it." Tears were falling from my eyes, I didn't want Arthit to see me, so I hugged him even more tighter.

"Umm.. Kongpob. You are hugging me too tight."

"Just a little while more Arthit, I promise."

When I felt a bit better, I wiped my tears and let go of Arthit.

I intertwined our hands together. "Arthit, I want to know you for those three years. I want that life I could have had if it weren't for that accident.

I don't care care how stupid or eager it sounds, but I have this feeling that we were always meant to be together."

"I don't know what to say, Kongpob..." Arthit was scratching the nape of his neck and looking at the ground. He cheeks were red hot and he was obviously very flustered.

He was so cute.

"You don't have to say anything right now Arthit. Just be a little nice to me when you are the head hazer and I am the new freshmen when we solve this whole thing.

Did you have dinner yet? I'll change first and then let's eat."

We sat at the dining table with our food. That was another thing about this whole parallel universe thing. I could touch Arthit, but I couldn't touch his things. I couldnt cook food for him or eat from his plate. The only things we could both touch in this apartment were the stuff that was part of the apartment - the furniture, TV, and appliances.

"Arthit, I also thought about how we can change the future and I think a big part of it will be me. I was in the car with dad. I made him drive that day.

That means, you would finally have to meet 2017 Kongpob and convince him otherwise."

Arthit dropped his spoon right then. "What? How will I meet him? What will I say? I don't think I can do this Kong"

I chuckled. "Arthit, its just going to be me — You don't have to be nervous."

"But, but, he wouldn't know me. How do I convince him?"

"You could seduce him, like you seduced me."

"KONGPOB! I never seduced you. What are you talking about?"

"I am talking about the time you took off all your clothes and joined me in the shower. Or are we assuming that didn't happen?"

"That was because I didn't know you could see me!"

"Oh I could see you. And I saw so much of you.."

"KONGPOB!" Arthit almost choked on his food.

"Are you okay? I am sorry. I'll stop with the teasing...for now.

And Arthit, you can convince me in 2017 because I knew you in your timeline. We met before, remember? 

If I can remember meeting you even after three whole years, I will definitely remember in 2017."

"But Kong, what if — what if, I meet you in my world and you end up hating me?"

I put my hand over his. "Arthit, there is no world where I would hate you. I'll always love you. I might be older than 2017 Kongpob, but trust me, we are the same. . There is no way I wouldnt fall for your charm, whether its in my world or yours."

Arthit looked flustered, again. His face said more about how he felt than his own words and that was one of the most adorable traits of his.

I knew I would always love Arthit and want him in my life, but I don't know if Arthit would want me to be in his life once all this was over.

"So Kong, how do I meet you in 2017?"

"Lets see, where was I right before the accident? I didn't have much to do, I was waiting to join college. I went to the internet cafe a lot in my neighborhood, usually around evenings. I think you should start looking for me there"

"And what should I say to him? 'Hey Kong, I talked to you from 2020 and we really need to change the future?"

"No, I don't know how that will affect me or our future. It might have a butterfly effect. I think you should just focus on gaining his trust for now

I will be going to my mom's house tomorrow and I'll stay there till the weekend to get more details about the accident so that we know exactly what we need to do."

"You-you wont be here this whole weekend?"

"Are going to miss me Arthit?" I smiled.

Arthit looked down at the table. "Its just weird not having you around."

"Then go out and find me in your world. You know where to find me now.

Oh and just so you know, if you kissed me in 2017, you would be my first kiss."

"Why are you telling me that Kongpob? I don't care about it!"

"May be you do Arthit. May be, you do"

Kongpob left early morning and I went to college. Instead of going to SOTUS meetings that day, I ran to the internet cafe Kong told me about.

I didn't know how I would approach him or if I would even talk to him, but I just wanted to see him out in the real world. How was he? What did he like? Was he still the same guy? Did he really remember me?

I finally found Kongpob, sitting on a corner PC all alone with glasses on his face. He looked cute with his glasses on and oh so innocent.

I decided to take the PC right next to him, but I didn't know how to approach him. So, I did the most obvious and stupid thing I could do -- I 'accidentally' bumped our elbows together.

"Umm. I am sorry. I didn't see you there."

Kongpob took off his headphones, looked straight into my eyes, and smiled.
