But just when things seemed to go much better than I'd feared, Kongpob turned to me and suddenly held his stomach as sweat started dripping from his forehead.
"Arthit... my stomach hurts..."

Oh no!
Poison?
Could Kongpob really get food poisoning from my cooking???
Nooooooo...
Kongpob stood from his chair and I wrapped my arm around him for support. As I helped him get to the school clinic, I tried to think of reasons why his stomach was suddenly hurting. I mean, sure, the food I cooked was painful to the eyes and probably disgusting to the tongue, but it couldn't have poisoned him, I was almost sure. Almost...
When we reached the clinic, the nurse helped me set Kongpob on a chair. Once he was settled, the nurse started asking him questions. "What's wrong?" she asked sweetly, checking his temperature. Then she noticed Kongpob's hands on his stomach, clutching it. "Did you eat anything before the pain started?"
"I ate his fried rice." He answered weakly, pointing at me accusingly. And that damn sad pout was on his lips, making him look oh so innocent and...cute.
ㅠㅠ
Ohoh...
The nurse turned to me scarily. "What did you put in there?" she asked me like I was a criminal who needed to confess to a serious crime. It was always like that whenever Kongpob pointed the blame on me all for these years.
He was lucky he had a stomachache or else I would've attacked him right there and then. Instead, I tried to look and sound innocent as I turned to the nurse. "I just put in rice, carrots, sausages and eggs, nothing more." I blinked my eyes innocently, glaring angrily at Kongpob who had the audacity to smirk at me. Smirk!
As soon as he feels better I will kill him!!!
"Are you sure?" she asked me again, as if really convinced that I was capable of putting poison in Kongpob's food. I nodded repeatedly, feeling intimidated by her accusation. She then walked over to a medicine cabinet and took a tablet out. She walked back to Kongpob's side and her face suddenly changed from scary to extra sweet as she spoke to him softly. "Take this, and I'm sure that you'll feel much better. But if you will still feel some pain later, you can come back here."
After taking the tablet with a glass of water, Kongpob stopped looking so weak and pale and was instantly back to being...his usual self. That made me doubt whether he really was sick just now. He smiled at the nurse. "Thank you for saving my life." he told her with his alluring voice that always seemed to melt people's hearts.
Such sneaky bastard.
We left the clinic after that. And since he was back to his usual arrogant himself, I took the time to let out my thoughts. "Yah, how can you be so stupid? Why did you still eat my fried rice even when you already saw how disgusting it was?" I asked him accusingly. "And were you really sick just now or were you just pretending so I'd feel bad and you could make fun of me again?"

As we walked, he suddenly lowered his head. "I ate it because I didn't want you to be embarrassed by Jessica." He remarked in an unusually serious tone. Well, I must admit, I kind of liked the way he acted back then. How he protected me... But then he looked up with a smirk on his face. "No one can embarrass my boyfriend except for me, right?"
What a way to ruin a moment. "Then you really just pretended to be sick so you'd make me feel embarrassed in front of the nurse, didn't you?" I accused him with a roll of my eyes, seeing how much he enjoyed doing that.
He let out a sarcastic laugh. "Is that what you think?" he said with a playful smile.
"You're such a jerk, you know that?" I remarked knowingly, walking faster so I wouldn't walk alongside of him.
Suddenly, he spoke in a louder voice so that I could hear him even though I was about a meter away from him. "I wasn't acting sick, okay? I'm not a good actor. Your fried rice was really sickening, is that hard to believe?" He said so loudly that the people passing by heard him and laughed at me.
Hearing that, I stopped walking and turned back to him. "If my fried rice was so sickening, why did you finish it all in the first place?" I replied just as loud, gaining a few laughs from the people passing by. "It wasn't for you anyway."
He walked over to me. "That's just the point. If I hadn't eaten it, then you'd be the one suffering from a stomachache." He told me defensively, this time in a lower voice. "Aren't you even the least thankful?"
For the first time ever, me, Arthit Rojnapat, was going to swallow my pride. "...thank you." I replied in a very small voice, seeing that he was really right about that. And to make matters even worse, my stomach chose to grumble at that moment, reminding me that I hadn't eaten yet.
Kongpob smirked at me and just as I was about to snap at him, he turned and rummaged for something in his bag. "Here." He extended his right hand towards me as he held out a black lunch box. "I figured that since you were cooking for me, it was only fair that I cooked for you too."

Kongpob cooked for me...???
Suddenly, the thought of Kongpob wanting to make a fool out of me by asking me to cook for him disappeared. Maybe he wasn't so bad after all. Plus, he never cooked for anyone. Not Jessica, not Nam, not...anyone.
"You can cook?" I asked in mock surprise as I took it from him.
"Of course, almost everyone nowadays knows how to cook, except for you I guess." He responded with a chuckle, rubbing in on me that I couldn't cook. There he was ruining the mood again.
"You know what? Here, take it back." I said, placing his lunch box back in his hands. "I don't deserve eating your food because I can't cook. I'll just eat my own shitty cooking."

I took out Daniel's lunch box and showed it to Kongpob proudly before I left him. He wouldn't know it was from Daniel and not mine anyway. As I walked away, he said something after me, though he didn't run after me. "Don't blame me if you get sick later."
As I headed for the cafeteria, I checked my watch. I only had 10 minutes to finish my food before the bell would ring. In just five minutes time, I was done with eating Daniel's delicious rice and was going to class already.
When I got to the room, Nam approached me excitedly. "What happened?" She asked immediately, noticing that I was holding Daniel's lunch box (I used the same blue lunchbox for five years now, so she knew it wasn't mine). "Did he like it?"
I shook my head. "He ate my cooking instead and ended up with a stomachache."
"What? Why did you give him yours?" She asked in shock, not even realizing that if I did just that, it was I who would be having a stomachache right now.
"So you're saying I should've sacrificed myself so he'd enjoy himself?" I remarked sarcastically as we both sat down on our seats. "If there's someone who should sacrifice, it should be him."
"If you like someone, you'd sacrifice for him, not the other way around, Arthit." She pointed out.
I shrugged. "Well, that's if you like someone. I don't like him so I don't want to sacrifice for him." I answered her as I started preparing for our class. Then I noticed Daniel's lunch box and realized that I should return it to him. "Hey, I'll be right back, okay?"
I stood up from my seat and was about to go to the bathroom when Nam asked me where I was going. "It's almost time for class, you might be late if you go out now." She reminded me.
Checking my watch, I changed my mind. I would just wash the lunch box after class. In the meantime, I would just tell Daniel to wait for me at dismissal. I turned on my heels and walked over to Daniel's table, where he was talking to his seatmate. "Daniel, can I talk to you?" I asked, trying not to sound too friendly so there wouldn't be any misunderstandings.
He excused himself and stood up from his seat. We walked towards the window side. "What is it?" He spoke in a cold tone, the way he used to when we still weren't friends.
I didn't get it. Why was he so mad about my new plan against Kongpob? It wasn't as if he didn't do it himself either. But I wasn't about to confront him about it just yet. I didn't have enough time to do so. I just told him what I needed to tell him. "Don't leave so quickly later, okay? I'll just wash this lunch box and I'll return it to you."
He nodded in reply and then walked back to his table without any words. I did the same. And when I took my seat, Nam looked at me suspiciously. "What did you guys talk about?" she asked nosily.
"Nothing. I just told him I'll return his lunch box later." I explained, not really pissed with her nosiness because I was used to it.
"Yah, you better stop talking to Daniel in public. What if Kongpob sees you?" she said out loud.
I shook my head. "Didn't you just tell me earlier that Kongpob's not a god, so he couldn't possibly know everything?" I answered her with her own words. "And besides, it's not as if I'll be talking to him again after today. He's practically treating me like an enemy again."
Before Nam could comment on that, the teacher finally arrived and started immediately with a discussion on the day's topic. Nam and I stopped talking and listened attentively until the end of class. Once the last bell rang, I rushed out of the room and hurried towards the bathroom to wash Daniel's lunch box.
After a few minutes, I rushed back to our classroom so that Daniel wouldn't wait too long. When I got there, he was leaning against the door, his bag hanging from his shoulders, tall and muscular, making him look quite hot at that moment. But of course, I shook those horny thoughts away as I gave his lunch box to him. "Here." I said.
He took it from me and placed it in his bag. "I'm leaving then." He said, starting to walk away from me.
I was just about to call after him, but another voice spoke instead and I spun around in shock.
"So, you refused to eat my lunch box because of Daniel?" Kongpob suddenly appeared behind me, looking as angry and menacing as ever. "Don't you know that what you just did broke one of our rules?"
"W-what do you mean?" I tried to deny it as I stood my ground and watched him walking closer and closer to me. His eyes were dark and dangerous, his lips pressed into a thin line, his face clouded over with anger or...was it jealousy? Naaaaah, no way...
Gosh, he looked scary yet sexy at the same time...
Wut? Stop thinking like this, Arthit!
He continued to step closer to me and soon we were just inches apart. "You're talking to another guy, so you broke the rule, Arthit..." He said with a low voice, his eyes dark and dangerous, his smirk wide as ever. I could feel every breath of his ghost over my face and damn, it made me breathless. And the way he whispered my name in that husky sexy tone of his...it was not helping!!!
My heart was pounding like crazy. God dammit, why does he have to be so damn sexy like this...
Why is he leaning even closer to me???
"Are you ready for your punishment?"
OMG!
Was he really going to steal my very first kiss?
