But then, I found the perfect opportunity to take action on our plan.

Kongpob, Jessica and Daniel were all there.

"No, Daniel. Don't lie. It's really Kongpob who placed the gifts in my locker. And it's true. I really do like Kongpob." I said as sincerely as I could and looked Kongpob straight in his eyes.

Fighting, Arthit!

"Operation Seduce Kongpob Vol 2" has just begun...

It was almost amusing, the way my "love confession" brought about very different reactions on each person who had heard me. But even though most of what I expected did happen, I was still surprised by what happened next.

Jessica's jaw had dropped in shock, Daniel's eyes were filled with surprise and confusion, and Nam looked like she was hiding a smile.

But when I turned to Kongpob, I couldn't read his expression.

To tell you honestly, after being treated harshly by Kongpob twice, I was actually expecting him to do the same as Jessica once again snap back to reality and turned to Kongpob with a question. "What do you say about this, Kongpob? Did you really give Arthit the presents?"

And I knew I was right as Kongpob's usual mischievous smile formed on his lips and that naughty glint was present in his eyes. Even when he wasn't speaking yet, I wanted to kill him already because I knew he was going to ruin everything big time. But of course, I couldn't, so I just stood there, holding back my urge to scream as he answered Jessica.

"No, I didn't give him presents during Valentine." He said, approaching us. Jessica, upon hearing that, smiled victoriously. I couldn't help but start glaring at Kongpob as I opened my mouth to oppose his lie when he continued to speak. "Actually, I gave Arthit more than just presents that day. I also gave him a proposal to be my boyfriend. And he still hasn't given me an answer until now."

...what???

Did I just hear Kongpob right?

Did Kongpob Suthiluck just take my side?

My answer was evident on Jessica's face which had undergone a 180° change from a wide smile to a huge frown, fuming red. The crowd in the classroom was gasping and whispering, staring at us in shock and filming us with their cameras, so I guess I really had heard it right. I decided to ride along with Kongpob, since he was helping me out.

"I said I'd think about it, didn't I? So, let me answer you now. I do want to be your boyfriend." I remarked with a fake smile, making people around us gasp in surprise even louder. I didn't blame them, because everyone knew of our dislike towards each other and how I would never say anything like that in my right mind.

Well, I guess I was crazy enough to go through with this plan...

Upon hearing that, it was evident that Jessica was shaking inside. She instantly turned to Nam with a snap. "Aren't you going to say anything to this? Your best friend has just destroyed your love life." She let out angrily, the same way villains in the movies did whenever they found out their plan wasn't working and they desperately tried to cause more destruction.

But she made the wrong move, because why would Nam help her when it was Nam who wanted her to lose in the first place? Nam smiled mockingly at Jessica. "I do have something to say. To everyone here, I want you all to know that I support Arthit and Kongpob. I'm happy for them, so I hope that the rumor about Arthit ruining my relationship with Kongpob would stop now." She spoke, her eyes focused on Jessica as if she was enjoying every moment of agony Jessica was feeling.

At that moment, the bell rang, signalling for class and everyone scattered and only those who belonged to our class were left. Jessica, being one of them, stayed where she stood for a moment, glaring at me and Nam angrily.

Surprisingly, Kongpob stayed behind too, even though he belonged to another class. And because of this, I wasn't too scared about Jessica's actions. What could she dare to do anyway when Kongpob was watching her?

Suddenly, Kongpob grabbed my right hand (my damn wrist again) and started pulling me out of the door. I was confused as to what he wanted now, but let him drag me along anyway. It could be that he was going to confront me about the things I just said, or it could be to save me from Jessica's piercing glare.

As we were walking out, our teacher was already on the doorway. And upon seeing us, she asked me (and not Kongpob!) where I was going. She was looking at me firmly as she did, but when she turned to Kongpob, she actually gave him a slight smile.

I opened my mouth to answer but Kongpob was faster. "I just need to talk to Arthit for a moment. Can you please excuse her for a minute?" He requested with his infamous charming smile on his face.

Like I expected, the teacher smiled back at him and nodded. "Sure, just don't take too long." She replied in a sweet tone which I never heard her use before in our class.

Once she entered the room, Kongpob continued to lead me somewhere. Even though I followed him, I was unaware of where he was going to take me. Soon, I found that we were back to the same classroom where I spent my terrible Valentine with Kongpob and the same one where I learned that Jessica and Daniel were planning against me.

He let go of my hand and I crossed my arms to my chest, facing him. "Why are we here?"

"We need to discuss something." He answered in a serious tone as he took a seat and he ushered me to take one too.

Upon hearing that, I took my seat with a nervous feeling. I was afraid that he would confront me about why I agreed to be his boyfriend when I had said about a thousand times that I hated him, and in explaining that might slip and tell him about our plans. "We do? About what?" I asked, trying to sound casual.

"Well, you agreed to be my boyfriend right? So we have to discuss about how we go about our relationship." He said, his lips turning into a sweet smile.

I couldn't help but laugh at him. Even though Nam and I planned it, did he actually believe me when I said that I would be his boyfriend? I thought that he just wanted me to say that to escape from Jessica's cruel ways. "What are you talking about?" I started to ask, but then I remembered that it was our plan that I should be Kongpob's boyfriend. And so, I hurriedly added another line. "Shouldn't we just treat each other the way we always do?"

He shook his had. "No, I'm talking about our rules in dating." He responded in a serious tone.

"Rules? Why do we need rules in dating? We're not playing a game here, you know." I replied with a frown.

"Haven't you heard of the book titled 'Rules of Dating'?" he asked me confusedly, as if I was missing out on something really big.

Kongpob Suthiluck actually read books?

And not just books, but books on relationship advice???

Now that was surprising.

"No, I haven't. What's it about?" I asked him with a raised eyebrow.

He smiled sheepishly. "I don't know either. I haven't read it yet." He said in reply. Hah, I knew it, he doesn't read books! "But the point is, the title implies that we should have our own."

Hahahaha gosh he is so childish and stubborn sometimes!

Seeing no point in arguing with him since he was really stubborn in nature, I decided to give in. "Fine, let's have our own." I answered, starting to brainstorm on what rules we could use just to get it over with.

But then Kongpob started talking again. "Get a paper and a pen and write down the rules. I'll dictate them." He ordered with a grin.

Hearing that, I objected immediately. "Are you saying you're the only one who's going to make the rules? No way. That's unfair." I remarked, frowning at him.

"Why is that unfair? I was the one who asked you to be my boyfriend, wasn't I?" he pointed out. His grin turned into a smirk. He was probably going to start annoying me, the way he always did whenever he smirked.

"But I wouldn't be your boyfriend if I didn't say yes in the first place." I reasoned, not wanting him to get the satisfaction of pushing me around.

He actually agreed easily (too easily, I thought). "Okay then." He said, not wiping his smirk off his face. "You can make one rule, so think about it well."

I knew it. I knew there was a catch. "Yah, why only one? Make it three." I demanded.

"No." he answered stubbornly. "It's either one, or nothing."

I was about to argue more when I caught a glimpse of my watch. Ten minutes had already passed. And knowing my teacher, she would definitely punish me if I arrived in class more than half an hour late, especially without Kongpob to turn her into a humane person. "Okay, fine. I get one rule. Can we finish this now?" I asked him as I pointed to my watch. "We're running out of time."

"I only have three rules," he started, raising three fingers from his hand. Then he lowered the two and stated the first. "One, you can't have other guys while dating me." then he raised another finger for each of the next rules. "Two, you have to call me once a day to talk about your day with me. Three, you have to do everything I say when we're together."

Upon hearing that, I opted to complain. "What? Yah, I'm not your slave!" I exclaimed at him with widened eyes.

But he, as usual, didn't care about what I said. He continued to speak in a half-serious tone. "Failure to follow these three rules or objection to these three rules will result in a punishment decided by me." Then, he looked at me with that charming (annoying) smile of his. "Now it's your turn. What's the rule you want to add?"

I opened my mouth, ready to argue with him about the rules he made but then he looked at his watch and I was reminded that I had to hurry back to class soon. I decided to just get it over with. I thought about what rule I could use to my advantage as Kongpob's fake boyfriend. And soon, I found it. "No hugging or kissing." I finally said, standing up from my seat. "So, can I go now?"

He nodded. "The rules apply starting now. Don't forget to call me later, okay?" he said with his annoying smirk.

I ignored him as I quickly walked out of the room and back to class. Unfortunately, I was right. My teacher gave me a punishment for arriving twenty minutes late. I was asked to stand at the back of the room until the end of the class.

After class I felt extremely tired, but as I was walking over to Nam, Daniel suddenly approached me.

"Hey, what did you just do earlier? Are you out of your mind? If you want to get back at me, don't involve other people. Why do you have to lie to Kongpob?" he said angrily.

I was a patient person, and I knew that I shouldn't be bothered by what he said. But if I didn't set him straight now, he might ruin my plan. So I did.

"Aren't you a bit too full of yourself? I'm not doing it because I'm mad at you. I really like Kongpob, so just leave me alone." I told him, treating him coldly for the very first time.

And as I said that, I realized there was no turning back now.
