《Zero Falls: Season One》Cipher's Reign-Part Two

Jill admired her face in a small hand mirror.
Well technically, it wasn't her face, but a cute face nevertheless.
Jill didn't expect Gideon to fight back against her mind control when she had possessed him, it appeared she had underestimated him. But in the end, the young psychic was finally her puppet.
Gideon's face smirked, when Jill thought about how easy it was to manipulate those fools. Mortals were predictable, as they were arrogant.
"So Jill, do you have them?"
Jill turned around, she hadn't noticed her brother just walked in. "We couldn't get Dipper or Mabel...But, we got the Day Guardian, as while as some earthbound Guardians and a raven girl."
Kill smiled wickedly. "Great, where are they?"
"Somewhere secure," Jill answered. "Don't even dare kill them, they're still of use to us."
"Yeah, yeah," The Red Demon dismissed. "Can you show me to them, sis?"
Jill sighed, vanishing the mirror in her hand, and beckoning her brother down the hall. They strolled forward, passing endless grey walls, and showered in the flickering dim lights in the ceiling.
"What is this place, anyway?" Kill questioned, looking around.
"It used to be an old asylum that was shut down," Jill replied. "By now, it was used for tours, but it's a surprise what a little renovating can do."
"I suspected that, I still hear the satanic screams of the convicts," Kill sighed, blissfully. "Music to my ears."
"You'll be hearing more screams, soon," Jill replied, calmly.
Kill raised a brow at her. "By the way, how long are you gonna possess that pipsqueak's body?"
"Until we get Bill on our side. Why do you ask?"
"I dunno, since you have a thing for him, I consider this to be pretty weird...and invading."
"Don't be gross," Jill shot back. "Also, I didn't complain when you possessed Robbie."
"Oh come on, we were having fun," Kill insisted. "I'm sure Cupid enjoyed it."
"We'll see about that, once I'll let him strangle you."
"Ooh, please do," Kill smiled.
Jill glared at him. "Again, super gross."
After a while of walking, they finally reached their destination. A heavy metal door. Jill snapped Gideon's fingers, and almost immediately, the door opened by itself. There was a deafening whine that emitted from the rusty hinges, and the two walked in without hesitance. They entered a room, and at the other side, were the captives bleeding from arrow wounds, separated from the Demons as a row of metal bars lined in front of them. The bars had glowing blue symbols on them, causing an electric current to swirl around them.
Kill sauntered towards them, before pausing a inch away from the bars, static brushed the tips of his hair. He regarded the trapped group with an amused smile.
"All powerful, huh?" Kill chuckled, mercilessly. "What a joke."
He directed his gaze to Robbie. "Nice to see you again, Cupid."
Robbie's gaze burned with hatred, and he pressed himself against the wall. Kill's eyes then darted to the side, where they landed on Pacifica.
"Just my luck, another pretty face," Kill said, flirtatiously. "I love the aesthetic you have here, Princess."
"Princess? In that case, that makes you a peasant," Pacifica deadpanned.
Kill only chuckled in response. "Oh, I'm definitely going to like this chick."
"Easy, you idiot," Jill snapped at him, then she turned to the others. "I apologize for my brother's manners, I would've gotten him neutered if I could, but the vet doesn't allow abominations."

"Hey!" Kill snapped, offended.
Inside the cage, Wendy stepped forward and glared at Jill viciously. "Did you say brother? Is that you, Jill?"
"The one and only," Jill giggled.
"What are you doing in Gleeful's body?" Stan demanded. "Isn't that punk on your side?"
"He was," Jill hissed. "But all of sudden, he betrayed us, so I'm making sure he'll be cooperative from now on."
Wendy growled under breath. "Where is Will!? If you hurt him, I'll--"
"Relax, treehugger," Kill said. "He's alive...he's not unscathed, but he'll heal."
"You monsters!" Candy yelled, flaring her damaged wings, before wincing.
"No one asked for your opinion, birdbrain," Jill sneered. "You were actually dumb enough to throw yourself against the bars, now I doubt you'll fly anytime soon."
Candy growled under her breath, and only calmed down, when Stan placed a hand on her shoulder. The Day Guardian then turned towards the Demons, his expression solemn.
"Whatever you're planning, it won't work," He told them. "Even with us Guardians out of the way, you can't make Bill side with you."
Jill scoffed. "We can always enter his mind again, this time, without you fools interfering."
"Especially the blueberry," Kill snickered. "I'd would've killed him on the spot, but I decided to spare him. His blood makes good nutrients, it'll be a shame to waste it."
"Once I'm out of here, I'll burn you alive," Stan said, darkly.
"You can't do anything behind those bars," Jill smirked. "So, just enjoy the scenery, while we tear this world apart."
With that, the Demons turned around and left the room, slamming the door shut behind them. They were about to walk down the hall, when they saw an unexpected face.
"Mayor Soos?" Jill gasped.
"Hey, Gideon," Soos smiled, then looked at Kill in confusion. "Who's this guy?"
Jill didn't answer. Trying hard to keep the bitterness out of her tone, she asked him. "What are you doing here, good sir?"
Soos shrugged sheepishly. "I've just been alerted that you caught a couple of Guardians, and I thought I should talk to them. Figure out whether or not if this is some kind of misunderstanding."
"Mayor, there is no misunderstanding," Jill told him. "The Guardians are against us."
"Yeah, but like, it wouldn't hurt to ask them," Soos said. "Maybe I can convince them not to hurt anyone, I am the mayor after all, they should at least be able to listen to me...right? I'm not really sure about the politics with these mystical dudes."
Jill regarded him in annoyance, then an idea slowly dawned on her. What was better than controlling a psychic that everyone trusts...a mayor that everyone trusts, perhaps?
Jill grinned, and Soos looked at her worryingly.
"Are you okay, dude?" Soos asked. "That smile of yours reminds of supervillains in the comics I keep in my basement."
Jill ignored him, and shot a command towards her brother. "Kill, hold him down."
Kill smirked, then stalked towards the man.
Soos backed up fearfully. "Woah, what's going on here?"
"This isn't personal, Mr Mayor," Jill smiled, sweetly.
Then before anyone could stop it, Kill lunged towards the unsuspecting mayor.

After Dipper got Bill and explained the situation, their plan was in action.
They followed the tire tracks deeper into the woods, until eventually, they arrived at a secluded location. It looked like your average criminal facility, except smaller. It was ash grey, with a wire fence surrounding it, a black van stood just inside it's gate. Dipper and Bill stared at it.

"Here's what we're gonna do," Dipper said. "Since I still can't use my powers without the others near, we'll have to break in without them. You'll find Will and the rest, while I'll go after Gideon."
"I won't leave you alone," Bill shot back.
"Don't worry, earlier, I told Mabel to come and assist me after she's done treating the others," The male brunette said.
Bill hesitated, before saying. "Since we're accepting backup, I think this is the right time to tell you something. After you explained the plan to me, I sent a quick text to someone who might help us."
"Who?"
"You might know him as Dipper Oak. Also dislikes to be referred to as Tyrone."
Dipper's eyes widened. "Are you mad?"
"C'mon, Pine Tree, we need all the help we can get," Bill said.
"And what if he sees me?" Dipper protested. "I can't meet my teenage mortal counterpart, it'll be so awkward!"
"Doesn't everyone in this town know about you?"
"This part of town, yeah, but there are other parts where people haven't even seen my face. What if he freaks out!?"
"You're the only one freaking out here," Bill shot back. "Also, if you're that paranoid, you can go ahead of me before he shows up."
"But, why drag a mortal into this?"
"He's a mortal with powers," Bill reminded. "Red Pine can take care of himself, and I need his help, if I want to do this."
Dipper frowned, but thankfully didn't protest. "Alright, I'm trusting you on this."
"Trusting me?" The blond said, under his breath. "That'll be a first..."
The Guardian looked at him blankly. "I assuming Stan told you I removed the bind from the journal?"
"Red told me, actually," Bill explained. "Whatever you read in there, erase it from your memory. I'm not crazy, I'm...I'm just going through a lot lately."
Dipper hesitated, before stepping closer to the blond. "I understand. You couldn't express your problems into words, so you did it on paper."
"What are you? My therapist?"
The brunette chuckled. "Well, I am the Guardian of the Mind."
Hearing that, Bill shuffled his feet uncomfortably. "While you were in my head, you didn't...see anything, did you?"
"Can you be specific?"
Bill didn't answer, and squared his shoulders in a guarded way. Dipper looked at him in concern, then said in a gentle voice.
"I'll tell you this, the thing I saw changed my views a little," He said, then reached into his shirt. "And...I think this belongs to you."
Bill stared, when Dipper took out Journal #3, and presented it to the blond. "You're letting me keep it...?"
"Yes," Dipper confirmed. "Of course, you'll be sharing it with me from time to time...but to be honest, it's becoming hard for me to look at it."
"I don't understand," Bill said. "I thought you didn't trust me."
"People can change," The brunette smiled, earnestly. "My past has hurt me too much, it's about time I let it go. The old Bill is gone, and I have to accept that. From this day forward, I want to get to know the new Bill, I want to get to know you."
Bill's face turned red, and he could barely speak.
"I'm sorry for treating you like some monster," Dipper said, genuinely. "You're far from it. I know that now."
"It's fine, Dipper," Bill said, softly. "I understood where you were coming from."
Dipper nodded, then glanced at the journal. "So, are you gonna take this or not?"
Bill chuckled. "Only because you said so, Pine Tree."
He reached out, and grasped the book, feeling an electric current when Dipper's fingers brushed against his. Bill gently took the journal from the Guardian, and tucked it in the inside of his jacket. He then turned to the wire fence.
"C'mon, we should hurry," Bill pointed out. "You go first, I'll meet you inside."
Dipper looked reluctant to leave Bill alone, but in the end, obliged. He leaped forward and easily climbed the fence. Bill watched, as the brunette landed on the other side. Dipper gave him one last glance, before making a beeline towards the facility.
Meanwhile, Bill watched him walk away, before turning approaching a nearby tree. He leaned against it, and slid down until he was sitting. For a while, he waited patiently, before he finally heard the sound of bicycle wheels against dirt. Bill turned around, to see Red Pine parking his bike against a tree, but what he didn't expect to see, was Falling Star with him.
"Red Pine, what is she doing here?" Bill demanded, as he stood up.
Dipper shrugged. "She wouldn't stop bugging me."
"I am so annoying, it's persuasive," Mabel smiled.
Bill sighed, then turned to the boy in the red jacket. "So, you're clear on what to do?"
"Your instructions were pretty clear when you texted them," Red Pine said. "May I ask how your brother got captured and why?"
"Long story, and I don't have time to explain," Bill told them. "Now, are you ready?"
The Oak twins looked at each other, and smiled. "Definitely."
❇❇❇
After climbing over the fence, they entered the building (with the help of the Oak twins' breaking skills), and soon they were traveling through the twisted grey walls of the facility.
Mabel shuddered. "This place is creepy."
"Boring in comparison to what we've been through," Dipper noted.
"Quiet," Bill hushed them. "We don't know whether there's guards around."
"Sorry," Mabel said, in a quieter tone. "So, where do you think they're keeping your brother?"
"I'm not sure," Bill said, trying to keep his own worry under control.
"Maybe, we should split up," Red Pine suggested, pointing ahead of him, where there was a fork in the path. "You and Mabel go down that passage, I'll go down the other, we'll see what we can find."
Mabel and Bill nodded in agreement.
"Be careful," Mabel told her brother, and he gave her a reassuring smile in return.
With that, they parted ways as soon as they reached the two passages. Mabel and Bill went left, while the brunette in red went right. The two walked in silence, scanning the area for any doors. Bill was beginning to inwardly panic, and to add to his anxiety, he heard a low hiss somewhere.
The two immediately froze, and frantically looked around. There was nothing at first, and they were about to move on, when a form dropped from the ceiling. Bill jolted, when a familiar figure landed between him and Mabel.
"Hello, Brother," Kill smirked.
Bill held his ground, knowing that the Demon wouldn't hurt him. "Where's Will?"
"Again with that question, aren't you tired of asking it?"
Falling Star released a yell, before rushing up and kicking Kill furiously in the back of his knees, but the redhead barely stirred. "Leave him alone!"
Kill turned towards her. He had a face of annoyance, but then it quickly morphed into realization. "Wait...I know you."
"Yeah, because you terrorised my family and cursed my brother!" Mabel shouted, still kicking him, even though it did nothing.
"Brother," Kill gasped. "If you're here, that means..." He didn't finish that sentence.
Bill stared, as Kill lunged out and grabbed Mabel by the collar of her shirt. Mabel's eyes widened, when the Demon lifted her off the floor.
"Hey!" Bill shouted, charging at the redhead.
Before he could touch him, Kill emitted a flash of red light from his body, and the blond got caught in it and was flung across the room. Bill slammed painfully against the floor, and he groaned.
Meanwhile, Kill was giving Falling Star a rather crazed look. "Tell me where he is!" He demanded. "Please, I need to--"
"Mabel!"
Kill froze, and looked past Mabel's head. Before them, stood Dipper, his eyes and birthmark burned with a furious crimson. Instantly, Kill dropped Falling Star, and she landed on her backside with yelp. The Demon slowly approached the boy, his face masked with shock.
"Red Pine?" Kill breathed.
To Bill's surprise, a smile cracked on Kill's face. Yet, it wasn't one of those cocky villainous smirks. No, this smile held genuine happiness and disbelief.
"I can't believe you're here in the flesh!" The Demon beamed, moving closer. "I wanted to visit you, but I was super busy, but I'm so happy you're here!"
Kill surged forward, and embraced Dipper. Red Pine had an unreadable face, while the Demon pressed his cheek affectionately against the side of the brunette's head, a warmth softened his usually disturbing eyes.
"I missed you so much," Kill said, softly. "Did you miss me, Red Pine?"
Dipper's eyes and mark pulsed red, and what happened next was a blur, as he fisted Kill's hair.
Bill almost threw up, when almost instantly, Red Pine tore Kill's head clean off his shoulders. Blood spewed out like a broken fountain, staining the wall and floor, before the body collapsed with a heavy thud. The blond stared at Red Pine, as his red glow died out, and he held up the head.
"I missed doing that," Dipper remarked to the head, before dropping it to the floor.
Kill's head rolled across the floor, before pausing against the wall, the Demon's eyes were blanked over. After that, Red Pine approached the others, not even noticing his jacket was half covered in blood.
"OK, change of plans," Dipper said. "All three of us travel together. We have to hurry, it won't be long until Kill regenerates."
"Got it!" Mabel exclaimed, as though nothing happened.
So, forgetting his horror, Bill followed the twins down the hall, leaving the bloody mess behind them.
"No offense, but I'm kinda terrified of you," Bill said to Dipper.
"I don't blame you," Red Pine said. "Now, let's go find your brother."
Bill nodded determinedly. The three continued their search, not stopping for anything this time
