《Zero Falls: Season One》Dreamscapers-Part One

Jill didn't like it when things didn't go her way.
In fact, she hated it.
She worked so hard to accomplish world domination, the least she deserved was her brother's arrogance getting in the way, and a cute yet stubborn psychic refusing to be cooperative.
The blonde girl stood over Gideon, as he slept against his desk, his journal laid beside him. Jill should set that book on fire, it was a painful reminder of the Night Guardian. The Demon's blood boiled at the thought of Stanford Pines, she was glad that he was gone for good.
She managed to control her urges, and shook the young seer. Gideon woke up with a jolt, and tossed an annoyed look at her, his eyes rimmed with dark circles.
"What is it, Jill?" He groaned.
Jill narrowed her eyes. "You suggested we go along with your plan, and yet you're napping?"
Gideon rubbed the bridge of his nose. "Look, I had a pretty rough night, so I didn't have much time to plan."
"Unbelievable," She scoffed. "I assume that you were too busy thinking about the Heart Guardian. What do you see in her? Yeah, she can make magic bubbles, so what? I once destroyed an entire planet, and some people find that hot, mind you."
"I do not wish to discuss this," Gideon said, beginning to look through his journal.
"Fine," Jill huffed, before asking a second later. "So, you do think she's cuter than me--"
"Jill!" Gideon snapped. "It's not that I think you're unattractive...it's just that you have anger issues."
"I don't have anger issues, you useless imp!" Jill shouted.
"Then, why are you yelling?" Gideon deadpanned.
"I'm not yelling, I'm talking in high volume!" She spat.
"That doesn't make any sense!"
"You don't make any sense!"
"Sorry to interrupt your couple's bickering, but I have something to show you two."
Both turned, and saw Kill entering the room. He was holding a piece of paper in his hand, and a smirk traced his face.
"Kill, Gideon and I are not a couple," Jill told him, then turned to the psychic hopefully. "Unless--"
"No," Gideon said, bluntly.
Jill huffed, and Kill chuckled. "Wise choice, little guy," The redhead said. "The last guy Jill dated, ended up being thrown into the sun."
Gideon stared at the blonde. "What?"
Jill shrugged. "He missed our date night..."
Kill placed a hand on Gideon's shoulder. "My sister's love troubles aside, here's my plan on our situation with Bill."
He moved forward, and placed the paper on the table's surface. Gideon and Jill looked at it, and saw a mixture of complicated symbols.
"What is this?" Gideon asked.
"It's in Triangulum, ancient Demon language," Jill explained. She squinted at the paper. "I recognize this spell...Kill, do you really expect us to do this?"
Kill nodded. "So far, it's the only thing that can help us."
"What are you talking about?" Gideon questioned.
The siblings turned to him, as though not noticing him at first. "You see, Snow White," Kill started. "There are different types of spells, but none is more advanced than the one that's written on this paper. With this spell, we have the power to enter anyone's mind."
"But, only one Demon managed to succeed," Jill pointed out. "If we try that spell, it might not work, especially since we're not at full power."
"We can at least try," Kill insisted. "C'mon, you know how long it took for me to get this? We can use this to get inside Bill's head."

"We still need permission to enter one's mind," Jill argued.
"We can force our way in, but we'll have a time limit," The redhead said. "Seriously, anything is better than nothing."
"I suppose so," The blonde agreed, grudgingly.
Gideon knitted his brow. "How does entering Bill's mind, help us get rid of him?"
Kill paused, looking like he was racking his brain for an answer. "Uh, well if we find any weaknesses in there, we might be able to overpower him."
The young psychic looked at the Red Demon thoughtfully. Jill thought she caught a hint of suspicion in his eyes.
"Seems about right" Gideon agreed, then picked up his journal. "If you'll excuse me, I'll be busy in my quarters. I'll meet you guys later, when we execute this plan of yours."
With that, the white haired boy left the room, leaving the two Demons alone.
After he was gone, Jill turned to his brother. "I think, he's on to us."
Kill shrugged. "We were bound to be found out sooner or later," He pointed out. "So, do we kill him yet?"
"Not yet," Jill told him. "I still have much in plan for him."
The Red Demon rolled his eyes. "At this rate, I feel like you're just keeping him around, so you can ogle at him."
"You're one to talk," Jill snapped. "You'll keep anyone alive, as long as you think they're hot. Like that runt in the red jacket--"
"He's not a runt," Kill said, seriously.
Jill arched a brow at him, then a smirk traced her lips. "Did I hit a nerve, dearest brother?"
Kill hesitated, then scoffed. "Hardly. I just think you should give the mortal some credit. He managed to defeat me, after all."
"Yeah, because that's so impressive," Jill remarked, sarcastically.
Kill glared at her, and opened his mouth to argue, but Jill cut him off.
"I'll consider your idea, Kill," She said. "Soon, we'll be one step closer to getting Bill back."
Forgetting his anger, Kill smiled slyly. "The future is ours. I can almost taste it."
❇❇❇
"Chips! Chips! I have nacho cheese flavoured chips!" Mabel cheered, while carrying in a filled bowl.
The group were huddled in front of the TV. Wendy was sitting on the floor next to Will, while Bill sat at his usual spot on the sofa.
"Finally," The blond said, as the female Guardian placed the bowl on the arm of the sofa.
"So, does anyone have any suggestions on what to watch?" Will asked.
"Lumberjack themed game shows," Wendy said.
"How about we watch something we'll all like, Wendy?" Mabel said. "Like this movie that came out on television, Dream Boy High: Where love is on your permanent record."
"I say we watch anything but that," Bill said.
"Agreed," Will and Wendy said.
"This is the problem with democracy," Mabel grumbled.
Before the group could debate on what to watch, Dipper stepped into the room, looking pretty exhausted, more than usual.
"Hey guys," He said, while fighting back a yawn.
"Dipping Sauce, you pulled an all-nighter again?" Mabel sighed.
"One of us has to work," Dipper deadpanned. He approached the sofa, and nudged Bill gently. "Move over."
Bill rolled his eyes, but scooted to the side a little, so Dipper could squeeze in next to him. The blond shivered, when the Guardian's arm brushed past his shoulders, so Dipper could rest it on the other side.

"So, Pine Tree, what kind of nerdy studies kept you busy all night?" Bill asked, keeping his tone snarky.
"It's classified," Dipper told him. "Even if it weren't, I wouldn't tell you."
Bill huffed. "Glad to know that you trust me," He said, sarcastically.
Dipper chuckled, and Bill felt his body vibrate with the action. The blond blushed, as he realized how close they really were. Bill was reminded of the time, when he had cuddled with the Guardian on the sofa. Thinking of that moment, brought feelings of bliss, that he would've liked to experience again. At this moment, he resisted the need to rest his head on Dipper's shoulder or lap, as he fought the urge to be closer to the Guardian.
"Bill, are you okay?"
Bill blinked, and realized that Mabel asked the question. "Yes," He replied, quickly.
Mabel tilted her head, curiously. "Okay, I just thought--"
"Hey, knuckleheads!" Stan exclaimed, as he stepped inside.
The group noticed, that the Day Guardian was holding a bunch of wooden signs under one arm.
"Fez, what is this?" Bill questioned.
"I'm about to open shop, but I need someone to hang up these signs in the woods," Stan said, holding up the welcoming signs. "Any volunteers?"
"I'll do it," Will suggested, casually.
Stan smiled. "Great, then--"
"Wait, wait, wait," Bill said, then turned sharply to his brother. "What do you mean, you'll do it?"
Will frowned. "It's really not a problem, Bill, I've been alone in the woods before."
Bill's gaze hardened. "Yeah, I'm pretty aware of that..."
Will internally sighed. He knew he'd regret telling Bill that he met up with Gideon. The blond deserved to know, but of course, this caused Bill to revert back to his overbearing personality.
"I'm completely capable of hanging up a few signs," Will countered.
"You can't even hang up a towel in the bathroom."
"It's not my fault! It keeps falling off that rusty hook."
"Relax, you two," Wendy said. "Bill, if you're that bothered by Will going alone, I'll go with him."
"Thanks, Red," Bill said.
Will felt like protesting, but figured it wasn't worth the fight.
"With that sorted, can you take this signs?" Stan said. "A fair warning, it's not that fancy smooth wood, so expect a lot of splinters..."
❇❇❇
Later, Wendy and Will were strolling through woods. Wendy listened to Will as he ranted, while nailing the signs to trees.
"He's being too overprotective," Will carried on.
"Can you blame him?" Wendy pointed out. "It seems like every day, you two are in danger."
"Yeah, I can understand that," He replied. "But, I feel like it's gotten worse. He doesn't let me do anything for the past couple of days. I swear, he's almost close to locking me in our room."
Wendy rubbed the back of her neck. "I think you should talk to him, then."
"But he should know I'm not a weak kid anymore," Will protested. "I've been through just as much as him." He sighed. "Sometimes, I feel like he sees me as inferior to him."
"That's not true," The redhead told him. "You two are equally awesome, and Bill knows this. Trust me, talking to him will help."
Will considered what the redhead suggested. She was right, it wouldn't hurt to talk to Bill, but he feared that he'll only be returned with excuses on Bill's part.
"I'll talk to him," He sighed.
Wendy messed his hair playfully. "Good, now..." She grabbed the signs from under his arm, and threw them into a bush, along with hers. "How about we have some fun?"
Will blinked. "Aren't we suppose to hang up signs?"
"We're taking a break," Wendy winked. "So, how about we head to the arcade?"
Will hesitated, then nodded in agreement. Wendy chuckled in return, and beckoned him to follow her, as she bolted off. Together, the two walked through the forest, in the direction heading towards the town.
Meanwhile, inside the shack, something else was happening. Bill, Mabel, and Dipper were in the middle of watching a show. At one point, Bill had fallen asleep. Dipper glanced down at him, then a small smile traced his lips. Slowly, he climbed off the sofa, and approached the staircase. Mabel noticed her brother, and turned to him curiously.
"Dipper, what are you doing?" She asked.
"If you follow me, I'll show you," Dipper told her, beginning to climb up the stairs.
Mabel blinked, before eventually following her brother. As she climbed the steps, she begin to notice Dipper's expression changing. His exhausted face turned to one of determination. Soon, the two reached the attic, and they let themselves in the room.
"What's going on with you?" Mabel questioned.
Dipper paused in front of Bill's bed, he took a deep breath, before turning to his sister. "Mabel, I finally found a spell to remove the bind from the journal."
Mabel's eyes widened. "Wait? Really?"
The male brunette nodded. "Yes, now we can finally retrieve what belongs to the Pines family."
Mabel twirled a strand of her thoughtfully. "This is great, Dipper, but don't you think the journal is more protected with the Cipher twins? I mean, they already did a good job--"
"Mabel, hasn't it occurred to you, that we need to protect the journal from Bill?" Dipper pointed out.
"Yeah, but who's to say Bill will use it against us?" Mabel countered.
Dipper sighed. "I know we bonded with them through this summer, but we need to stay vigilant. The journal is best secured in our realm."
The female Guardian bit her lip, hesitantly.
"Mabel, I know you mean well, but this requires us using our heads...not our hearts."
Mabel released a deep breath. She hated it, when Dipper was right. "Okay, do it," She said, reluctantly.
Dipper nodded, then turned towards the bed. He reached out, and removed the pillow, revealing Journal #3. The six fingered symbol glinted, and reflected their faces back at them. Dipper took a deep breath, before hovering his hand over it. Nothing happened at first, then blue glowing mist snaked around his hand. The mist then drifted towards the book, and covered it whole. The journal emitted a heavy glow, and it increased in brightness, as Dipper repeated words under his breath. Soon, it was so bright, Mabel had to shield her eyes, then as soon as it began, it ceased.
Mabel looked again, to see Dipper holding the book. Her brother held a look of triumph.
"We finally have it," He smiled, opening it and flipping the pages eagerly. "After all these years, it's finally in our...Wait."
Mabel regarded him in worry. "What's wrong."
"I think Bill filled in the blank pages," Dipper said, then read out loud. "I never expected to actually write in this thing. But hey, I need one way to express my contempt for the nightmarish hell that is my life. Though, admittedly, it's not all bad. Red is pretty cool, and I still have my brother with me. The Pine twins are a pain, though, especially Pine Tree."
Mabel chuckled. "Yep, that's definitely Bill."
Dipper rolled his eyes, and continued reading the next page. "Long story short, I just escaped a possessed convenience store. Unsurprisingly, it was the least traumatic thing that happened to me this summer. The only thing weird about it, other than Will's drug-like dream sequence, was the fact that Pine Tree felt the need to tuck me in afterwards."
Dipper flared red. He knew!?
"Wait, you tucked him in?" Mabel giggled.
Dipper ignored her. He almost didn't want to continue reading, but felt curiosity get the better of him. "All I wanted was a normal day at the carnival. My brother and I ended up turning on What's His Name's time machine. We ended in a strange era, and met duplicates of the Pine twins, who happened to be that punk Gideon's ancestors."
"Hey, how come they didn't tell us about this?" Mabel protested. "Hmph! That's the last time I share fun stories with them. Continue, Dipper."
Dipper obliged. "Anyway, I met this total crone that looked like Mabel. And, guess who else? Will's past life."
He almost gasped. Bill met his brother's past life? Dipper prayed that this didn't have some kind of negative effect.
He kept reading, refusing to stop now. "I soon met up with my Will and Mason Gleeful, but then we were targeted by these time travelers in dorky outfits. We ended winning in the end, but Mason was shot. He was nearly on death's door, until Will, Will, brought him back to life."
The Pine twins stiffened, neither of them believed what they were reading.
"What?" Mabel breathed, it was all she could say at that moment.

Luster
Growing up with her recently deceased mother’s addiction and her own struggles with gender identity, June Fujiwara was not a nice person. Gaining powers from nearly being murdered didn’t change that, and neither did becoming a mercenary to fund her transition. It took horrific manipulation, the resulting trauma, and the family that helped her through it all. Luster is a derivative work based on Worm by Wildbow (John C. McCrae) that begins prior to Worm and although it doesn't show straight away, the story is very AU.
