《Zero Falls: Season One》Time Traveling Twins-Part Three

Will had no idea how he ended up like this.
First, he was looking for Bill in a familiar yet unfamiliar territory, then a guy that looked a lot like Dipper basically kidnapped him, and took him to a mansion that was a replica of Gideon's. Will was now strolling through the pristine hallway, with portraits hanging on the wall, walking beside Mason. At one point, he decided to cooperate, tired of being dragged around.
At first, he was confused over how Mason knew him in the first place, then realization dawned on him. The young man could only have mistaken Will for his past life. Did that mean, there was a clone of him still out there? And what relation did a Demon have with Mason?
Will was guessing his past life was some kind of servant, noting the way Mason had a commanding undertone towards him, even when he was trying to be gentle. If so, how did a Demon who helped in destroying an entire realm, end up here of all places?
He decided the question wasn't important now. Will had to convince Mason to let him go, but how could he begin to explain? He should just put it out there, tell Mason the truth, in case the young man had darker intentions for his supposed servant.
However, before he could open his mouth, Mason led him to a door. He opened it, to reveal a large room that made the boy speechless. The space included blue wallpapered walls, a high ceiling with a chandelier, an outdoor balcony, and a huge oval bed. The floors were so polished, that Will was concerned that he might stain it with his shoes if he stepped inside. Mason didn't seemed to mind, as he nudged the boy forward, before closing bedroom door behind them.
"Get on the bed," Mason instructed.
Will thought about refusing, but didn't think he had a choice. Reluctantly, he stepped towards the bed. He gingerly sat on the edge, skimming his hand over the velvet duvet. Will felt a weight beside him, as Mason sat down across from him. He immediately froze, when the young man placed a hand gently on his forehead.
"What are you doing?" Will asked, sheepishly.
Mason withdrew his hand, worry etched his face. "You don't seem sick. I guess that's expected, since you're immortal."
Now was his chance. Will prepared to tell the truth, when he stopped midway. Mason was currently giving him an odd look. It was an intense gaze, an emotion Will didn't recognize was swirling in the man's blue irises. He would prefer that Mason didn't look at him like that, since his eyes reminded Will too much of Gideon's.
"What's wrong?" He asked Mason, curious.
Mason furrowed his brow, as though something was bothering him. "Can you please change forms? You'll make this awkward if you look like a kid."
Will blinked. Make it awkward? What was this man talking about--
His thoughts came to a complete stop, when a pair of hands cupped the sides of his face. Will's eyes widened, when Mason's thumb started caressing his cheek. What the...?
Mason was yet again giving him an intense look. "Nevermind. I can't hold back anymore."
Will's heart almost exploded, when Mason leaned in to kiss him. Fortunately, the Cipher ripped out of the young man's grasp, and drew back. However, this also caused him to fall on the floor.
"Ow..."
Mason regarded him in shocked concern. "Will, are you okay--"
"Stay back!" Will screamed, blushing furiously. "I have pepper spray...OK, that was a lie, I don't have pepper spray. But if I did, I would definitely use it on you by now!"

"What are you going on about?" The young man asked. "Get off the floor, Will--"
"I'm not Will!"
Mason stared, and Will quickly corrected himself. "I mean, I'm not your Will."
"I don't understand..."
Will sighed, then climbed back onto the bed, distancing himself from Mason a bit. "I wanted to tell you...I'm from the future. The reason I look like your Will, is because...I happened to be his reincarnation."
Silence drifted into the room, as Mason looked at him blankly. Will felt his throat tightened. It sounded even more unbelievable when he was saying it out loud. It took him a while to properly digest it, that he was once a completely different person. To think, he would've never existed now, if his past life hadn't died...
"I know it's hard to believe," He said, softly. "I barely understand it myself. But--"
"It makes sense."
Will looked at Mason in surprise. "Really?"
Mason nodded nonchalantly. "After my sister and I summoned Will, I did as much research as I could on Demons, I was already aware that they could reincarnate. That doesn't explain how you ended up in the past, though."
The boy fingered the duvet absentmindedly. "My brother and I kind of ran into this outlawed time traveler, and messed with his time machine...it's a long story."
"I suppose so," Mason chuckled. Then, he said with a blush. "In that case, I'm sorry for mistaking you for someone else, let's forget what almost happened here. And please don't mention anything to my sister, she will hold it against me for the rest of my life."
Will couldn't help but laugh a little. "Of course. Right now, I just want to find my brother and return to my timeline."
The young man scooted closer, making the boy flinch a bit. Mason placed a hand on the small of Will's back, causing a strange thrill to surge up his spine.
"I'll help you," He decided. "I'm sure your brother hasn't gone far. Also, I still need to find my Will, so I was about to go into town anyway."
Will smiled at him, grateful that he wouldn't be doing this alone. Still, he felt a bit awkward after Mason's earlier advance on him. Oh man, just thinking about it made his cheeks grow red. It only occurred to him now, that he had been so close to receiving his first kiss--
Don't think about it, Will told himself, feeling that he was close to heart failure, if it kept beating in such an alarming rate.
There was a rustle on the duvet, when Mason stood up. He extended a hand towards the boy. "C'mon, let's go find your brother."
Ignoring his nervousness, Will slowly took the young man's hand, and allowed Mason to help him off the bed. Will immediately withdrew his hand right after and followed Mason out the door.
❇❇❇
Bill was now in a moving limo.
Something he would've enjoyed, if not for a few things: First, his brother was still missing. Second, he found Will's past life. And lastly, there was a woman sitting across from him, looking like she wanted to kill him.
Mabel-- Jeez, it felt wrong calling her that, considering that this woman was the complete opposite of the enthusiastic Guardian Bill knew. To be honest, he thought this Mabel was a bit of a hag.
Mabel Gleeful sent him another glare, and finally responded after Bill explained everything. "So, you're from the future, and that weakling..." She pointed to Will, who was sitting beside the blond. "Is your brother?"

Bill shrugged. "Pretty much. But, this Will is only the past version of my brother, my real brother is still out there."
"Sounds needlessly complicated," She pointed out.
"Tell me about it," He sighed, in agreement.
"So," Mabel started, crossing her legs elegantly. "You want me to help you?"
"You would do that?"
"Why wouldn't I?"
The blond rubbed the back of his neck. "With all do respect, your personality so far is an equivalent to an evil witch in a fairytale."
"Flattery will get you everywhere," She smirked. "And I can't help my curiosity, who knows, maybe this will be entertaining. Also, a while ago, my brother and I were looking for Will, so there's a probability that he mistaken your brother for him."
Bill's brow crinkled with worry. If Mabel's brother was half as unpleasant as her, he feared for his twin's safety.
Mabel suddenly turned to Will. "Speaking of which..."
She rose her hand, and to Bill's horror, blue light emitted from her palm and the oval jewel in her headband. Something floated from behind her seat, and it was revealed to be a dagger. The weapon zeroed in on Will, and stopped inches away from his throat.
She hissed. "Let it be known, that the only thing stopping me from slitting your throat right here, is your relationship with Mason. Otherwise, you would've been severely punished for running off like that. You understand?"
Will trembled, then nodded as much as the blade holding him hostage could allow. "Yes, I understand. I'm sorry, I'll never do it again...""
"Good," Mabel said, approvingly.
She moved the dagger away, and the Demon breathed in relief. Bill was left sitting in shock. This lady wasn't only a crone, but a borderline psychopath. His gaze darted over to Will, who was quivering in the spot. Bill wondered if there was a way to protect both Wills from harm, it didn't matter that this one was a Demon, he was still technically the blond's brother.
He turned back to the brunette, when she started speaking again. "This limo is heading towards the Gleeful Manor, hopefully, Mason will be there to--"
She was cut off, when there was a jerk, as the vehicle stopped abruptly with the shriek of it's breaks. Mabel's face soured into one of annoyance, and she spun towards the driver.
"What the hell are you doing?" She snapped.
The driver clutched the wheel nervously. "Someone's standing in the center of the road."
"So? Drive around them, or even better, run them over."
"I...uh.." The driver stuttered.
Mabel rolled her eyes. "Forget it, I'll take care of it," She decided. She shot Bill and the Demon a sharp look. "Stay here until I return."
Then, she opened the door, and stepped out of the vehicle. As the door slammed closed behind her, Bill turned to Will. The young man was fidgeting slightly.
"Does she always treat you like that?" The blond asked. He knew it wasn't his place, but if someone was hurting Will on a daily basis, he had to make sure.
Will didn't seemed fazed by the question. "Sort of. Believe it or not, it used to be much worse, but thanks to Master Mason, living in the mortal realm has been much more bearable."
"But, why didn't you leave earlier?" Bill interrogated. "You're a Demon, you could've escaped."
"No, I couldn't," He sighed. "A long time ago, I made a deal with the Gleeful twins, that I may serve them until one or both of them die, in exchange for protection."
"Protection from what?"
Will frowned, the glow of his eyes dimmed with sadness. "I rather not say," He sighed.
Bill regarded him in calculation, then asked hesitantly. "Does it have anything to do with the war?"
"You know about that?" Will responded, incredulously.
"Barely," He replied. "I have one last question: What was going through my head back then? Why did the old me do something like that?"
The Blue Demon bowed his head, twiddling his fingers anxiously. "I remember that you wanted to go after Ford. You told me...that he committed an unspeakable act against our family."
Bill looked at him confusion. "Do you know what Ford did?"
Will shook his head. "Bill refused to tell me, all I know, is that whatever Ford did, it made my brother mad," He said. Then, a look of sorrow painted his face. "If only I was strong enough to stand up to my siblings, then all the bloodshed would've never happened. If only I could apologize to the Guardians...to the Pine twins."
Bill regarded him in sympathy. He racked his brain for any comforting words he could use on the Demon. Unfortunately, his thoughts were grinded to a halt, when something crashed into the side of the limo. The whole vehicle tilted against the impact, and a window shattered. Both stared, before immediately opening a side door and climbing out, ignoring the driver's protests.
They moved to the side of the limo, where they saw what hit it. Mabel was slumped against the vehicle, where she left a large dent in the metal. Broken glass covered her, and she had cuts and bruises in multiple places. Will immediately knelt down, and stared at the her.
"Master! Are you okay--"
"I WILL BE ONCE YOU HEAL ME, YOU IDIOT!" She screamed, then winced from the pain.
"Sorry!" He squeaked, placing his hands on her shoulders.
Bill watched with captured amazement, as Will's hands glowed softly. Instantly, the glow started to course through Mabel's entire body, then her wounds vanished without a trace.
She sighed in relief. "Finally."
Mabel allowed Will to help her to her feet, and Bill demanded. "What just happened!?"
The brunette didn't answer, only shooting a glare in front of her. Bill followed her gaze, and felt his stomach drop. Before them, was one of the men that almost attacked him and his brother. This one had blond hair that was cut cleanly, and chiseled features. He held a gun, that made a electrical sound as it began loading with energy.
"You two should leave," Mabel told them. "I'll hold him off."
Bill gaped at her. "Are you nuts? He threw you like it was nothing!"
"That's because he took me by surprise!" She said, defiantly. "Now, go! That's an order!"
When the blond didn't move from the spot, she whirled towards the Blue Demon. "Will, use your powers to take Bill away from here!"
Will nodded obediently, and wrapped his arms around the blond. Bill attempted to break loose. "Wait--"
"It's okay, Bill," The young man said, determinedly. "I won't lose you a second time."
Then, before Bill could understand what was happening, a giant ball of blue light absorbed them, and they vanished from thin air.
❇❇❇
Will and Mason walked through town, as the sun glared down on them. The blue haired boy was scanning the area, hoping to spot a familiar blond head. Once in a while, he looked over at Mason. The young man had a ever worried crinkle in his brow, and it started to concern the boy.
"You must really care about me-- Will," He stuttered.
Mason nodded. "More than you can ever know."
Will darted his gaze to his feet, then cleared his throat, before daring to speak. "If you don't mind me asking, what is your relationship... I mean, how did you two...you know?"
The young man turned to him, amusement twinkled in his eyes. "How did Will and I end up romantically?"
The boy had only been guessing earlier, but hearing Mason admit it out loud, immediately made his face heat up. It wasn't like he minded, Mason was a handsome man. Wait, if Mason looked like Dipper, was Will technically calling Dipper handsome? OK, now he was confused.
"It's a long story actually," Mason continued. "At first, Will was no more than a pawn to me, but then after one particular circumstance, it all changed."
"And what was that?"
"Well, when I was young, I dated this lovely girl named Paz Southeast. However, she was only visiting Zero Gravity Town, and had to return home, so we decided to be friends instead. It was my first breakup, and it took quite a toll on me, and surprisingly, Will was there to comfort me through it all. I can't remember when I fell for him, but I recall that it terrified me. Same sex couples are frowned upon in this time, so imagine my dismay when I realized I was in love with not only a male, but a male that isn't even human."
Will regarded him in sympathy. "Yeah, I can imagine how hard it might've been for you two."
"But, in the end, I guess we figured it out," Mason smiled.
The boy returned his smile, and was about to say something more, when out of nowhere, the two were blinded by a flash of bright light. They stopped in their path, and shielded their eyes. When the light finally cleared, it revealed two figures in it's place.
"Bill!" Will gasped, upon seeing his brother.
He was flooded with relief, until he saw the person standing next to the blond. Will saw an exact replica of his face, on a young man's body.
The blue haired boy froze. "Bill, is that...?"
Bill nodded, looking urgent. "Yes! But now's not the time, we have to--"
"Halt!"
They spun towards the sound of the voice, and saw one of the men in armour. Pale scars contrasted against his mahogany skin, and he aimed his gun at them.
"Hold on!" Bill shouted, holding up his hands defiantly. "What are you even doing this for!?"
"You have committed crimes against time itself," The man replied, gruffly. "By holding a illegal time device."
The blond reached into his pocket, and pulled out the tape measurer. "You mean this little thing? We didn't mean to go back in time! We just want to go home."
The man glared. "I'm afraid I can't let you live after what you done." He leveled his gun at them again.
Thankfully, Mason was quick to react. He extended his arm to a nearby fire hydrant, and a light formed around it. With a large crack, it was ripped from the concrete pavement, and a giant column of water spewed from the ground. As the Cipher twins were pelted by the drops, Mason threw the fire hydrant at the man. It hit him square in the chest, causing him to fall onto his back.
Mason spun towards the Blue Demon. "Will, get us out of here!"
Will nodded quickly, and held out his palms. Immediately, they were encased in a orb of light, and they vanished a moment later.

Dream Dungeon
Welcome to the dream dungeon. Ely suddenly finds himself in a mysterious dungeon accessed only through sleeping. Many people are drawn into this dream world, confused and mystified. Those in this dungeon must kill monsters to survive; maybe even each other. Join Ely as he struggles to survive a ruthless environment. What replaces his rest is untold trauma. What seems like an innocent game trope turns into a nightmare. This is a story of tragedy and the path to ultimate power. All in the hopes of an uncertain survival. _________ This fiction has NOT been abandoned. I made a haughty promise earlier to not worry because I'll continue this series, and with things lately, I've only proved myself a liar. Further promises dwindled, and I've lost trust. So many things have been going on recently that I've been booked. I will refrain from making any future guarantees or promises as my busy schedule will stay with me for a long long while. Time for me to actually spend on writing and revising won't appear until at the least November 19. I won't say expect that's when I'll restart, but you can expect expecting it to maybe happen. That's really shallow. But with everything going on, I've let my small reading base down. I apologize. I still stick by my statement though that I won't abandon this project. I plan to stick it to the end, no matter the delay. Most importantly, thank you everyone; readers who both like and dislike my work. I appreciate your time spent on my dumb imagination. Stay toasty my readers in this winter season. Cheers. UPDATE: We're back on track. Thank you for your patience. Any future readers, heyo! Glad you're here. UPDATE 2: So far it's been 21 days since I last uploaded a chapter. The best thing done for any fiction, no matter how good it is, is that it continues, and I have a bad history with that. 1 fiction on hiatus and already more delays with less than 20 chapters in this fiction. I've been very preoccupied with adding more things to do in my life rather than actually committing to any particular thing. That applies primarily to this. I cannot abandon this, as busy as my future looks and will look as I get busier and busier. Someday, I hope, I will be able to sit down and just write. just. write. But for now, I ask for patience. I suppose I'm glad this fiction hasn't picked up so that I don't disappoint too many people if any really. But I need to commit and it's going to happen sometime and sometime soon. No more flowery words. I'll see you later. UPDATE 3: It's very evident I won't be able to pick up this story for a while. With AP Testing, competitions, and other things I am busier than ever. But I must complete this fiction. I have too. Until next time. UPDATE 4: It is now the summer. I owe everyone an apology. Chances are, nobody's around to see this, and that is okay. I only blame myself for this sort of brokenness of a fiction, not that it is actually that bad but I am just exaggerating it for dramatic effect. But what's not exaggerated is the severity of my broken promise. I apologize for my naive claims about finishing a novel that I couldn't finish and that I didn't have the discipline to finish. Nor the skills, really, I was and am still an immature writer. What is to place now? I want to make it clear I understand this is my fault. I will man up to this. And I will accept any criticism. I understand I messed up. Reading Stephen King's On Writing made it clear to me that I need to do two things:Read lots. And write lots.I have done neither. If I don't have the time to read often, how do I expect to write? I need to become more experienced. I need to become a serious writer. So if I want to dream of continuing, I need to at least fulfill both requirements. I enjoy writing. I haven't written seriously outside of school in a while. I planned to write this summer and finish this. I made a lot of promises that I didn't keep.So there's that. I won't enact any self-pity, or be foolishly obsessed. What I did was wrong, and I must deal with it. I let down readers. And I apologize.I hope I can find forgiveness. This is a writer's sin.I won't promise I'll finish this. I intend to finish this, at some point, because writing is fun and I want to write. But how things are don't reflect that. Maybe I'll finish this at some point. Maybe I won't. I won't be naive to make that promise.I thank everyone who has read this if this is the end. If not, and hopefully not, I thank everyone who is to read future chapters. I thank everyone who allowed me to live in the miniscule little dream of mine as I passed my days. I thank everyone who cares enough to read this. Until next time, peace everyone. Thank you. You are all great readers and great people. I wish everyone the best in whatever reading/writing endeavors follow you henceforth.
