《Zero Falls: Season One》Double Dipper-Part One

Will came into the kitchen one morning, to see heaps of party decorations, with Bill and Wendy in the center of it.

"What is this?" He asked, catching their attention.

Bill grinned, a can of Silly String in his hand. "Red and I decided to throw a party."

Wendy nodded in agreement.

Will tossed a look at the many shopping bags, and grimaced. "So, is that the reason why you completely blew our budget?"

"Hey, this is for a special occasion," Bill insisted. "It's Red's birthday."

Wendy tilted her head. "What's a birthday?"

Will narrowed his eyes at his brother, and Bill sighed in defeat. "Fine, since nothing terrifying happened to us in the past few days, we thought we could do something fun."

"So, we're inviting some people over," Wendy added, cheerfully. "And you're gonna help us."

The blue haired boy looked at them sheepishly. "I don't know, I've never been to a party before..."

"Then, this will be an exciting experience for you," Bill told him. "So, what do you say?"

Will thought for a while. Eventually, he answered. "Fine, I suppose it'll be fun."

Bill stepped beside him. "Hell yeah, it will," He beamed, then added seriously. "Also, there's something important I need to tell you..."

"What?" Will asked.

Then, Bill sprayed him with Silly String. "BBBLAAA!"

"Ah! Why!?" Will protested, trying to wipe the stuff off.

Both Wendy and Bill laughed, while Will grumbled under his breath. Then, as they calmed down enough, Wendy spoke.

"Just so you two know," She started, seeming hesitant at first. "I invited the Pine twins to help us prepare."

As she said that, Will immediately turned to his brother, expecting Bill to protest against this. That was not what happened.

Bill merely shrugged, and said. "Sure."

Wendy blinked, and Will was just as surprised as her. "You're okay with this, Bill?"

"Yeah," He said, simply. "Who knows, it may be in our favour, Mabel does seem like a party animal. Dipper's a lost cause, though."

Wendy gave him a stern look, but didn't protest. Meaning that she didn't approve of Bill making fun of the male Guardian, but at the same time, she didn't disagree with the blond either.

After Will brushed the last of Silly String off his sweater, he asked the redhead and his brother. "So, where do we start?"

Bill nodded, and then reached under the kitchen table. When

he got up, he slapped a paper onto the surface. It was a handmade party invitation.

"First, one of us will need to copy invitations, while the rest decorate the shack," He announced. "I think I saw an old copier here, so I'll be taking care of the invitations."

"And we'll handle the rest," Wendy said.

A thought dawned on Will. "So, when do you think Dipper and Mabel will be arriving?"

Right after he asked that, a face pressed up against the kitchen window from the outside. They turned, and Mabel's wide smile faced them from behind the glass.

"My god, how many sweets does that girl eat?" Bill said.

"You won't like the answer to that," Wendy told him, then went to open the window.

"Hey, guys!" Mabel exclaimed, leaning her head in so her brown hair brushed the windowsill. "We're here to help!"

Then, with much difficulty, she crawled through the window. Eventually, she tumbled out, with Wendy fortunately catching her before she hit the floor.

Bill shook his head. "What is it with Guardians, and their inability to use the goddamn door?" He murmured.

Mabel didn't seem to hear his complaint, and after Wendy carefully placed her down, the brunette rested her elbows on the table, her smile still visible on her face.

"I'm so glad you decided to let us help," She said. "I already hired a DJ, and a karaoke machine!"

"That's great, Mabel, but where's Dipper?" Will asked.

Mabel stood up straight, and turned to the boy. "He should be here right about--"

She was interrupted, when a cloud of blue smoke appeared in the kitchen, temporally blinding everyone. After a wave of shocked gasps, the smoke cleared, revealing Dipper.

"Sorry, I'm late," He said, brushing his uniform. "Had some unfinished business back in the realm with Grunkle Stan."

Bill coughed out the remains of smoke that clogged his lungs, and glared at the male brunette. "Seriously, use the door! It's not that hard!"

Dipper ruffled the boy's hair. "Sorry, Bill, I thought it might make a impressive entrance."

The blond's cheeks tinted pink, and he furiously batted the other's hand away. "Whatever, just don't touch my hair."

Wendy walked up to Dipper. "You're here just in time," She said. "I was wondering if you'd take the job as bouncer?"

Dipper regarded her curiously. "Why does this party need a bouncer?"

Bill rolled his eyes at him. "I don't know, Pine Tree, in case we don't get ambushed by crazy monsters," He retorted.

"You'll do it, won't you?" Wendy asked.

Dipper looked at her, as always, a red colour darkened in his cheeks. He quickly nodded. "Of course!"

Wendy smiled, while Bill grimaced nearby.

"What are we waiting for, then?" Mabel said, cheerfully. "Let's make this the best party ever!"

❇❇❇

So, for the rest of the day, the group decorated the shack for tonight. There had been a lot of mishaps, such as Will attempting to keep Mabel from devouring all the snacks, and Bill throwing a water balloon filled with punch at Dipper, starting a mini war between them before Wendy got them to stop. In the end, they finished as the beginnings of night started to show.

Will and Mabel waited outside the shack, while the others did some last minute preparations inside. The blue haired boy noticed the Guardian looked excited, more than usual.

"You must really like parties," Will noted.

Mabel turned to him, still bouncing slightly on the balls of her feet. "Of course I do."

"Is that why you're so jumpy?"

"I did eat several bags of gummy koalas a while earlier," She pointed out, then added. "Or, I'm just excited to introduce you to my friends."

"Your friends?" Will questioned.

"Candy and Grenda," Mabel replied, brightly. "We go way back, and I think they might like you."

Will smiled shyly, and rubbed the back of his neck. "In that case, I can't wait to meet them."

Mabel nudged him playfully. "That's great to hear, Will," She said. "Also, fair warning, how weak is your spine? Grenda is a big hugger."

"Hehe, funny joke," Will chuckled, softly.

"Yeah, yeah...I'm serious, though."

Will paused nervously, but before he could answer, a figure stepped up to them.

"Hey, dudes!"

Will blinked, and turned to see a familiar face. "Mayor Soos?"

The man was not wearing his usual attire, but seemed to switch it for something even more bizarre. He was wearing a multicolored jacket, with a bedazzled mask that covered his eyes. Under his arm, he held a electric keyboard.

"Sshhh, I'm in disguise," Soos whispered to the boy. "In the day, I am your humble mayor, but in the night I reveal my secret talent. You may call me...DJ Soos."

Will regarded him puzzlement. "But, that's just your real name--"

"Sshhh!" He hushed him, again.

"Alright, DJ Soos, you can get ready inside," Mabel told him, pointing a thumb over her shoulders. "The guests will only be arriving later."

Soos nodded. "Plenty of time for me to figure out this toy keyboard," He beamed, before walking inside.

Will watched him go, before Mabel briefly touched his shoulder to gain his attention.

She gave him a warm look. "We should go inside too, Will."

With that, he followed her, as she stepped towards the shack. The two walked inside, as the night neared closer.
