After the incident with Kill, the Cipher twins were a little on edge. Specifically, Will.

The blue haired boy was currently pacing around the living room one morning, and of course, he had to do it while Bill was watching television. The blond grimaced in irritation, as Will kept blocking the screen.

"Dang it, Will!" He snapped, catching the boy's attention. "Can't you cower in the kitchen, instead disrupting my morning television?"

Will furrowed his brow. "Oh, sorry, I just have a few things on my mind, for example: THERE'S A DEMON OUT TO KILL ME!"

Bill leaned onto the armrest of the couch, regarding his brother with an indifferent look. "Relax, alright? Wendy already told you a dozen times that there's no signs of Kill outside our shack."

Will's face contorted into a paranoid expression. "But, what if he's somewhere in town? The diner? The arcade? Or, maybe the--"

"For god's sake!" The blond shouted, standing up to his feet. "You need to calm down, because honestly, there's only so much of your paranoia that I can take before I lose my mind."

"I've been through a near death experience! How do expect me to calm down?"

"Since when had either of us not been through a near death experience?"

Will was silent for a moment, before saying. "Good point."

Bill walked over, and ruffled his brother's hair. "Exactly. Maybe, we can go somewhere, in hopes of taking your mind off things?"

"Are you sure it's safe--"

"I'm positive," He insisted. "And we'll only be out for a short while, and Wendy would always come running to save us whenever we're in trouble."

Will still looked unsure, but there was a hint of interest. In the end, he nodded in agreement. "OK, what do you have in mind?"

Bill rubbed his chin in thought, on the same time when a voice spoke from the television.

"Come one and all, to the Tent O' Telepathy!"

The twins turned, and on the screen, was an image of a huge blue tent, with people surrounding it.

"Here, you will see the one and only Lord of Peacocks and Trust! Gideon Gleeful."

"What makes him so special?" Bill scoffed.

"He's a psychic."

"What?" He said, then his eyes brightened. "Wait, this is perfect!"

Will tilted his head. "It is?"

"Yeah! This Gideon guy is obviously a fake, which gives me an excuse to laugh at someone."

"You laugh at people all the time," His brother reminded.

"Yes, but this time, they'll deserve it," Bill remarked.

"Are you sure this guy is a fraud?" Will asked. "I mean, I've met a Prophet before, and he was legit."

"He has cheesy advertisement, of course he's a fraud. So what do you say, wanna have a laugh with me?"

Will rubbed his arm in hesitation, then decided. "Sure, what's the worse that could happen?"

"You're paying, by the way," Bill told him.

"Ah, there it is," Will sighed.

As the twins prepared to leave, the advertisement was still playing, with a silhouette of a boy on the screen.

"Come on down, folks! Gideon is expecting you..."

He thought the amount of people on the ad was just for show. But no, once they arrived at the Tent O' Telepathy, there was at least twice as many people than what was seen on television!

The brothers were currently waiting in a long queue towards the entrance of the blue tent. As expected, Bill grew quickly impatient, while Will decided to distract himself by looking around.

He still couldn't believe how much of the town showed up. Was Gideon this well known? Will couldn't admit it out loud, or else Bill would've made fun of him, but he was actually excited to see what tricks the Lord of Peacocks and Trust had in store for them.

Finally, the tent was finally opened, and the crowd poured in, an eager buzz in the air. The twins joined the rest of the people, as they sat on the rows of seats. Will almost jolted, when a spotlight turned on, and focused more on the stage. He watched intently, as the curtains pulled back to reveal a boy standing behind them.

"Gideon is a kid?" Bill said, incredulously.

Will looked more closely at the figure on stage. Gideon looked about his age or younger. Despite that, Will had never seen anyone look so regal. The boy on stage was wearing a blue vest, and over it was a coat with fine golden embroidery, along with shorts and expensive looking shoes, and finally, a long cape with the patterns of peacock feathers. Gideon had fluffy snowy white hair that was slicked back, and blue eyes. Such a vibrant shade of blue, that Will almost found them hypnotic. Suddenly, Gideon glanced in his direction with those eyes, and Will being over reactive, decided to duck under his seat to hide.

Bill stared at him. "What are you doing?"

He had no idea. Gingerly, Will returned to his seat, and watched as Gideon began talking.

"Welcome, everyone," He greeted, in a Southern accent. "My name is Gideon Gleeful, but most of you might know me as the Lord of Peacocks and Trust. Why people call me that is no mystery: in this tent, I'm not only here to entertain you, but to give you advice to aid you in your future."

"And this advice being give me money," Bill whispered to his brother, jokingly.

Will looked at him with a knitted brow. "Don't you mean my money?"

"You're still hung up on that, huh?"

Meanwhile on the stage, Gideon pulled out a deck of cards from his shirt and carried on. "These cards in my hand will decide your futures, but I can only show one of y'all. Now, who would like to volunteer?"

Immediately, people started raising their hands eagerly, and yelling out their names. Will sat silently, and tossed a look towards Bill, who looked unimpressed. He was about to talk more to his brother, when--

"You there, with the blue hair!"

Will blinked, and turned around to see Gideon smiling in his direction. His heart sped in his chest. "Me?"

The white haired boy nodded. "Yes. You're new here, right?"

"Y-yes," He replied, sheepishly.

"Don't be shy," Gideon told him, gently. "Come up here, and let me see what this town has in store for you."

Will was about to protest, but then Bill tugged at his arm with a grin. "Oh, you have to do this, Will!"

"Why?" He questioned.

"Because it'll be entertaining, at least for me."

Will was about to snap back at his brother, when Gideon pressed. "Are you gonna volunteer?"

He was about to answer no, when Bill stood up and pulled Will to his feet. "Of course, he will!" He announced, nudging his brother forward.

The crowd egged Will on, and the boy shot his twin a glare, before reluctantly heading towards the stage. He climbed up the steps, his eyes slowly adjusting to the brightness of the spotlight. Slowly, Will approached Gideon, until he was standing before the other boy. Gideon was even shorter up close, Will towering over him by a few inches.

"Hey," Will said to him, tugging at his sweater awkwardly.

Gideon looked at him thoughtfully, and Will suddenly felt at ease by the boy's soft gaze. "My apologies, if I put you on the spot," He whispered.

He shrugged. "It's fine, it's only a little stage fright..."

"You'll do great," The boy reassured. "I swear on my lucky bowtie."

Will only noticed now, that Gideon was indeed wearing a bowtie. In the center, was a smooth blue stone, that reflected his face like a miniature mirror.

"Now, let's begin," Gideon said, holding up the deck of cards.

Will expected the other to offer him one of the cards, when he was given a surprise. A glowing blue aura surrounded the deck, and the cards flew into the air. The crowd was entranced by this, and even Bill looked shocked. Will watched in awe, as the cards spiralled around him and Gideon, causing a slight breeze to blow at their hair. Gideon smiled calmly at the boy across from him, and with an expert hand, he snatched one of the cards from the tornado around them.

"You have three possible futures," He told Will. Then, he showed the twin the card, it had the image of two masks. "Your first card is Janus, the man with two faces. Meaning: you will meet a friend, who isn't what they seem."

Will watched, as Gideon flicked the card to the floor by his feet, and then grabbed another one. The second card had the image of a heart with a lock around it.

"Your second card is Distrust," Gideon continued. "You will experience something, that will make you lose trust in the ones you love."

Will frowned, but watched intently as the boy grabbed the last card. However, once Gideon looked at it, all the colour drained from his face, as though he seen a ghost.

"Is something wrong?" Will asked, concerned.

"Uh..." He stumbled, nervously.

"Does it have something to do with the card?"

Gideon didn't answer at first, then he gulped softly, and said in a shaky voice. "Your last possible future is..."

Then, he slowly revealed the card. Will's eyes widened, when he saw the picture of a white skull.

"Death."
