He didn't know how he ended up like this. First, he had stayed behind when the tour moved on, hoping to find something that would ease his boredom. The next minute, he had heard a thud, and the beheaded wax body of Dipper was spread across the floor. And now...

...He was in handcuffs.

And two cops stood by his sides, one skinny and tall, while the other was short and chubby. The two had briefly introduced themselves as Officer Blubs and Deputy Durland.

"Looks like we got this punk under control," Blubs said.

"Woohoo!" Durland cheered.

Bill growled under his breath, and tossed a glare at the growing crowd of people around them. His eyes landed on Will, and it looked like there was a shimmer of regret in the younger twin's eyes. Good. Bill was still very much angry with him. Even though, a part of him refused to face his own faults, like not telling Will of their true heritage.

But, he was doing his brother a favour by keeping that a secret! Will would have a heart attack, if he knew they were once Demons that destroyed worlds. At least, Bill had been the one to destroy worlds...

He was snapped out of his thoughts, when there was a tug in his handcuffs. "Hey!"

"Come along, city boy," Blubs told him. "We'll be escorting you to the town's jail, where you'll face the charges of your actions."

"Wait!"

They turned, and saw Will rushing up to them. "Isn't this a little harsh?"

The overweight cop turned to him. "Kid, this guy destroyed public property, what do you suppose we should do, slap him on the wrist and move on with our day?"

"No, but--"

"There's nothing you can say to change our minds," Blubs argued.

Will frowned, and darted his gaze towards Bill. The blond then saw his brother's expression switch to determination. "What if I can prove Bill's innocence?"

The cops stared at him, along with Bill himself. Wait, did Will only decided to believe him now? The blond would've been upset that his brother took so long to do so, but a big part of him was relieved as well.

"What did you just say?" Durland asked.

Will stood up straight. "Give me until the end of the day to prove my brother didn't do it."

Blubs looked at him skeptically through his sunglasses. "You sure about this?"

"Yes," He told him, defiantly.

The cops shared a look, before Officer Blubs spoke again. "Fine. You'll have until the end of the day, and during that time, your brother will be kept in the police apartment. That's my final offer."

"Alright," Will agreed.

"Excuse me, officer," Bill chimed in, turning to Blubs. "You mind if I have a little talk with my brother."

Blubs grimaced. "I'll allow it, just don't take too long."

With that, Bill approached Will quickly, and whispered to him. "Look, I'm glad you finally came to your senses, but how exactly are you going to break this case?"

The blue haired boy bit his lip thoughtfully. "I have been watching a lot of Ducktective lately."

"I'm doomed," Bill said.

"Hey, don't worry," Will reassured. "I know what I'm doing."

"You got your crime solving lessons from a duck!"

Will patted his shoulder, giving him a serious look. "This is when you should start trusting me. I will get you out of this, I promise."

Bill regarded him hesitantly. He gotten into trouble before, and mostly managed to get out of it. But this time, he doubted that he'll be able to get out of this one. Yet, he couldn't bring himself to admit that to Will.

"Don't make me regret letting you help me," He told his twin.

Will nodded, saying nothing more.

"C'mon, let's go," Blubs said, grabbing Bill's shoulder and turning him away.

Bill took one last glance over his shoulder as he was escorted out of the museum, and saw Will with a worried expression. He then glanced over at the beheaded statue of Dipper, and dread filled his stomach.

After the cops left with Bill, Will returned to the shack. He had recently used his phone to take photos of the Wax Exhibit, in hopes of scavenging some clues. He examined each picture while sitting cross legged on the surface of his bed. Nothing seemed to stand out to him so far.

Will sighed heavily, feeling stress fill him to the core. He may have bitten off more than he could chew with this one. He didn't know the first thing to do! But, he couldn't let Bill down, not after promising him...

"What's up, dude?"

Will screamed, and whirled around. There, sitting on the windowsill was his friend, Wendy.

He clutched his chest, trying to calm his speeding heart. "Wendy, you really need to learn how to use a door!"

Wendy shrugged. "Doors lack imagination."

She hopped off the windowsill, and went to sit beside him. "So, where's Bill? He promised to show me how to steal snacks from vending machines."

Will looked down at his lap, where he clutched his phone in his hands. "About that..."

Then, he went onto explaining what happened back in the museum. Wendy didn't express any dismay, until Will mentioned that it was the statue of Dipper that was beheaded.

"Oh man, Dipper is definitely not gonna be happy with that detail," Wendy pointed out.

"Does it even matter?" Will snapped. "Bill could be facing serious jail time, and I don't know how to help him, no matter how many cheesy TV shows I watched."

The redhead patted his shoulder reassuringly. "No, he's not, because I'm going to help you."

He felt a surge of relief upon hearing those words, but then uncertainty crawled in. "But how? You have any experience in this kind of thing?"

"No," She admitted. "But, you did say the wax sculpture was destroyed by an axe, and that happens to be my speciality. You have a picture of it?"

Will nodded quickly, and showed her the photo on his phone. Wendy looked at the screen thoughtfully, and then her eyes lit up.

"Oh! The axe is left-handed!"

"There's a difference?" Will questioned.

"I don't joke about axes, Will," Wendy said, seriously.

He regarded her with a puzzled look, before looking over the pictures in his phone again. "OK, so we know the culprit is left-handed. But, I don't think-- Wait!"

"What did you find?" She asked, looking over his shoulder.

"Look," Will said, showing her the screen. "The exhibit had this carpet, and near the body, are footprints...and they each have a hole in them. Bill may be messy, but he never had holes in his shoes."

"So, our culprit is left-handed and has a hole in their shoe," Wendy concluded. "Who does that bring us down to?"

"Probably, everyone else in the museum that morning," Will sighed.

Wendy clapped him on the back encouragingly. "Then, we better start looking now."

Will nodded. Hopefully, halfway they'll be able to help his brother.

They had scouted through town, and found nothing.

Will didn't think it was possible, but everyone in this godforsaken town seemed to be right handed. He approached each person that joined the tour, but came back with zero results. As for the clue with the shoe hole, Wendy took that into her own hands...by aggressively holding random citizens upsidedown to check their soles. Will was concerned by her kind of strategy.

It was almost nearing afternoon, and Will was beginning to panic. He looked down in his notebook, that was filled with a bunch of nervous doodles. He murmured anxiously, as he and Wendy walked through town.

The redhead sensed his distress, and put an arm around his shoulders. "Don't worry, we still have time left."

"But, what else is there?" Will noted, miserably. "We looked through every person who was with us at the museum."

"Are you sure, you didn't miss anyone?"

He shook his head. "No, we searched everyone who was in the group."

"What about someone that wasn't in the group?" Wendy suggested.

"No, that can't be..." He paused, as realization struck him like a bolt of lightning. "I got it. I know who it is!"

Wendy beamed. "Really? Then who?"

Will rushed up ahead of her. "No time to explain! Our culprit is in the museum!"

The redhead quickly followed him, as the boy sprinted across the pavement. Minutes later, they reached their destination. The two entered the building, and Will darted his eyes around. His gaze landed on the person he was looking for: the teenage guide that led the group this morning.

"You!" Will yelled, pointing to him.

The guide spotted them, and his eyes widened before he bolted the other way. Without hesitation, Wendy lunged towards him, and pinned the poor guy onto his stomach.

"Don't move, criminal scum!" She snapped.

"What's going on?" He stuttered, in a panic.

Will knelt before him, and glared. "You know what's going on. You framed my brother for a crime you committed!"

"What? That's crazy talk!"

"Oh, yeah?" Will remarked. "You got tired of Bill's behavior, and thought this would be a sweet revenge."

"I told you, I was leading the group," The guide countered.

Will stood up. "We'll see about that. Wendy, check his shoes."

The teenager blinked. "Wait, what--"

He was cut off, when the redhead lifted him and hanged him upsidedown. "Ah! Please don't, I'm gonna be sick!"

"Not after we prove Bill is innocent," Wendy shot back. "And, we will in right about a sec..." She paused.

"What's wrong?" Will asked. "Is he the one we're looking for?"

Wendy suddenly dropped him, and the guide groaned. She faced the blue haired boy with a grim look. "There's no holes...he's not the culprit."

Will felt a massive drop in his chest, and he looked at his friend in distraught. "Are you sure? Maybe you should check again--"

"Will," She interrupted. "It's no use."

He stared, and then bowed his head in his despair.

"Ugh, weirdos," The guide muttered, standing to his feet and walking off. "I don't get paid enough for this..."

Wendy glanced at him as he walked off, and then regarded Will in sympathy. She walked over, and ruffled his hair gently.

"We can keep looking," Wendy insisted. "It's too soon to give up, we can--"

"We can't," Will remarked, his eyes growing misty. "I let Bill down..."

Wendy frowned. "Will..."

He brushed her off, and turned away. "I'm sorry, but I need to be alone right now, can you wait for me back at the shack?"

She looked like she wanted to protest, but in the end, she nodded solemnly. Wendy slowly walked away, leaving Will alone. The boy wrapped his arms around himself, trying to stop himself from tearing up. What was he gonna do now? How could he face Bill after such a failure?

Will trembled slightly. I'm sorry, I let you down.

"Are you okay, kid?"

He blinked, and looked up. Towering over him, was the same guy he met this morning, K.C.

"I'm fine," Will lied.

K.C looked at him for a while, then his eyes darted to the side. "I heard what happened to your brother and..."

"Yeah?"

"There's a way I can help you."

Will stared. "You can? How?" He asked, desperately.

"I didn't only volunteer at the gift shop," K.C said, smirking. "I also supervise the security cameras."

A rush of joy crushed into Will. "The cameras! They must've seen what really happened!" He beamed. "Can you please show me?"

K.C nodded, shooting another toothy smile. "Oh, anything for you, kid."
