《Zero Falls: Season One》Welcome-Part Six

Much later, the twins were thankfully relocated from the cage. Unfortunately, they had unbreakable vines binding their wrists and ankles together, making it impossible for them to escape.

They were in one part of the cave, where Will was getting his appearance done for his 'wedding', by a single gnome.

"I think that's enough flower necklaces," He insisted.

"Shembuloc," The gnome replied, adding another flower necklace.

"You don't understand a word I'm saying, do you?"

"Shembuloc."

Will groaned, then turned to his brother. "OK, back to what we just discussed, you're telling me that the Guardians are good?"

Bill paused at his current activity, which was attempting to chew through the vines. "Well, most of them. There's two in particular, that grind on my nerves."

"And you only decided to tell me this now?" Will remarked.

"Hey! I didn't tell you, to protect you," Bill shot back.

"Really? So, you thought I couldn't handle it."

"No offense, but you're not the best at coping," The blond replied.

"I handled well enough," Will said, defensively.

Bill cocked his head. "Is that so? Shembuloc, can you tell me how responsible Will is, despite himself getting kidnapped?"

"Shembuloc."

He nodded. "Yep, that's what I thought."

Will frowned, turning away from his brother. "Fine, we'll discuss this later. What I'm really concerned about now, is this backup you're referring to."

"I'm pretty sure Wendy can find anything," Bill explained. "Let's just hope, those twins don't follow her."

"What do these twins even want with you?"

Bill hesitated. How would he even explain this to Will? That he was once an supernatural being, that died and came back as a teenager. His brother had heard him spout random fibs before, so it's doubtful Will would believe him.

"Bill?" His brother questioned.

"Let's just say, they mistook me for someone else," Bill sighed, and then added. "Also, they went crazy over some book I found."

"Book, you say?" Will responded. "As it so happens, I heard the gnomes mentioning a book when they carried you in, maybe it was the same one you found?"

Bill didn't know why, but he felt a rush of relief hearing that. "Will, this is important, do you have any idea where they put it?"

Will shook his head. "No. But, why is it so important?"

"Parentally, that book is magic," He explained. "It's bound to me or something, and it has every single info on the creatures in this godforsaken town."

"That would certainly be convenient," Will agreed. "But, do we want to risk angering powerful Guardians, by taking their property?"

"We don't know if it belongs to them," Bill insisted. "Also, they should be thankful that I'm keeping it safe."

The blue haired boy was about to reply, then yelped when Shembuloc pinned a rose into his hair, and the thorns must've dug into Will's scalp.

"Easy with the rose, it has thorns," He told the creature.

"Shembuloc," The gnome replied, apologetically.

Will turned to Bill seriously. "Forget the book for now, I don't know about you, but I will NOT be a broken housewife!"

"If my hands weren't tied right now, I would smack you," Bill deadpanned. "Have you forgotten that I might die, after you get hitched with Mr Potato Head?"

"Sorry, I'm just nervous."

"Don't worry, every bride gets cold feet before their big day."

"OK, now I want to smack you," Will remarked.

Jeez, where are they!?

Wendy leaped from tree to tree, in a number of seconds. Her green eyes scanned the area, hoping to find the familiar speck of yellow hair.

And, she wasn't doing it alone.

"Wendy, slow down!" Dipper called to her.

The redhead paused on a branch, and looked down at the twins. "I can't! There could be wild creatures around, and Bill's by himself."

"Why do you even care?" He replied. "I still can't believe you trust him over your friends."

Wendy gritted her teeth, and dropped from the tree. She landed before Dipper, and towered over him. "This Bill is my friend! Why is it so hard for you to see that?"

"In our defense, he did try to conquer our world," Mabel reminded. "How are you sure he won't go crazy like last time?"

The redhead paused, her answer was lost in the clutter of her thoughts. Finally, she managed to reply.

"I doubt a boy could do that much damage," She insisted, then after much hesitation, she added. "But, if it were to come to that...then I'll take full responsibility as a Guardian."

Dipper frowned. "Wendy, you know what will happen if--"

"It doesn't matter," Wendy stated, determinedly. "If Bill turns evil, then I'll bare the punishment."

The twins looked at each other direly, but the redhead had made her choice. Wendy promised to protect the Cipher brothers, even if it meant losing the trust of her friends. She believed that Bill was no longer the enemy, and a part of her hoped she wasn't wrong.

"Fine," Dipper said, reluctantly. "So, where do you think Bill ran off to?"

Wendy stared at him. "You're going to help me find him?"

"Mostly to get the journal back," He admitted.

"How are you gonna do that, bro-bro?" Mabel asked. "It's bind to Bill at the moment."

"Mabel, I have accomplished great things, I'm sure I can figure out a reversal spell."

"You also accomplished at being a huge dork," She teased, nudging her brother.

Dipper flushed in embarrassment. "Argh, Mabel."

Wendy resisted the urge to smile. It was good to know, that despite being the most powerful beings in the universe, the Pines Twins still have their sibling quarrels from time to time.

"You guys look for clues on the ground, while I scout in the trees," She told them.

Dipper and Mabel both nodded, and the redhead easily climbed back into the tree. So, as time progressed, the three combed most of the forest, until they finally found a lead. Wendy spotted something in the next clearing, that made her jump off the branch she was recently perched on, and run up towards the thing in question. She paused before two objects: a blue sweater, and Journal Number 3.

Wendy's face dipped in worry, as she picked up Will's sweater. Meanwhile, Dipper had his eyes trained on the journal.

"The journal!" He exclaimed, excitably reaching for it.

However, he barely laid a finger on it, as the book emitted large rays of light, nearly blinding the Guardians. When the light dimmed, it revealed the journal floating in midair. Instead of grabbing it, the three gaped with wide eyes, and by the time they came to their senses, it was too late. The journal sped away like a firefly, cutting through the woods.

A expression of horror masked Dipper's face. "It's getting away!"

"It must be heading towards Bill," Wendy noted. "Quickly, follow that journal!"

She bolted in the direction of the flying book, with the twins shortly following. Her feet drummed against the earth, as she ran through the forest, in hopes of finding her friend.

The ceremony had just begun, and Will couldn't be anymore traumatized.

He was still tied up, and covered in flowers that didn't do wonders for his allergies. He was standing underneath a homemade canopy, and the little monster named Jeff, was standing across from him. Meanwhile, in the rows where the rest of the tribe were sitting, Bill was tied amongst side them, as well as gagged by a pinecone.

"Let's get this done in time for our honeymoon!" Jeff chuckled. "Reverent, you know what to do."

The gnome nodded. "Shembuloc."

"I do," Jeff replied, grinning at Will. "What about you, bluebell?"

The blue haired boy gulped. "Shouldn't we ask if anyone objects?"

"Why is that?" He responded. "We all know everyone here agrees, and as for those who don't..." Jeff shot Bill a glare, and the blond growled softly in return.

"Well, what if I object to marriage?" Will pointed out.

"Why would that cross your mind?"

"Because you kidnapped a fifteen year old boy, and forced him to be your bride."

Jeff threw his arms in the air. "Oh, so it's okay for others to kidnap unsuspecting children, but when a gnome does it, it's crazy!"

"The context is still messed up, no matter your species," Will deadpanned.

"Doesn't matter now!" The gnome snapped. "I worked my butt off to find a suitable queen, especially after being rejected by Mabel, and I'm not gonna stop now. We're getting married, whether you like it or not, Missy."

Will gritted his teeth. "For the last time, I'm not a--"

He was interrupted, a cry of shock rang from the gathering gnomes. He turned, and so a ball of light rocketing towards them, or more specifically, it was rocketing towards Bill. Before Will could warn his brother, the ball of light landed in the back of the blond's head, causing him to spit out the pinecone.

"Gah! What was that and why did it just hit me?" Bill demanded.

The object in question, laid nearby Bill, and the light from it immediately faded away. Will stared, when it revealed book, and he recalled a recent conversation he had with his twin.

"Bill, isn't that the book you were looking for?" He asked him.

The blond blinked, and turned his head around. Bill's eyes widened, as he gazed over the six fingered symbol.

"It is," He breathed. "But, how--"

"Mind if we crash this wedding?"

Will didn't recognize that voice, and but Bill seemed to, since his face lit up as soon as he heard it. Everyone turned, and what they saw, were three Guardians, with a smirking redhead in the lead.
