A Stardew valley AU where The farmers dad was apart of the Gotoro empire whilst her mother was apart of Pelican towns small community.

Sam was a nervous wreck.

His friends, Abigail and Sebastian, seemed to notice how much worse he'd gotten at pool.

His movements faltered with each time his fingers slipped from the cue stick.

Sam might've been terrible at pool but it was unlike him to be this uncoordinated...

"This is about the upcoming farmer isn't it?" Abigail muttered.

Sam had flinched at the mention, beads of sweat dropping from his hairline.

The whole town had already gained an earful from Lewis over her background.

It was a little messed up how he'd told the town to 'be wary over her' .

But nobody seemed to care...

Her grandfather was apart of the community, as so was her mother.

Other than that, the girl was most notorious for her fathers side, which consisted of Ferngill republics national enemy, the Gotoro empire.

"Isn't it a little fucked up? I mean she's just a girl so I don't get what the big deal is" Sebastian scoffed.

He was tired of all the unnecessary gossip floating around.

"The Gotoro empire cares for nothing but power Sebastian" Abigail argued.

The boy only rolled his eyes.

If she was going to Pelican town.

She was going for a reason.

"Like what if she's secretly here to spy and attack!?" The purple haired girl continued on her rant, hand on Sams shoulder as she spoke.

"We don't know that.. but Abby has a point" Sam sighed, walking over to the vending machine.

He pressed the buttons lazily, not knowing for what was to become of the farmer.

Would she end up his friend?

Or would she end up a foe?

"Sam Sam!" The little boys voice yelled.

Sam was shocked to hear it as it was indeed his little brother.

"What are you doing in here Vincent!?"

He nearly yelled when seeing his brother in the alcohol infused vicinity.

"Jas- what!?" Marnie yelled from the main area of the Saloon and the three young adults went to see what was going on.

Vincent ran past the trio and off to where Jas was.

Alex had held the door open, panting softly.

"I tried to stop them from running in here but they just completely ignored me.." he said through heavy breathing.

Vincent held Jas' hand and pointed out the doors.

"T-The new farmers here!" He yelled in panic, hopping up and down.

Jas hugged Marnie tightly, letting go of her friends hand.

"What!? I thought she was supposed to be here on the fourth of spring!" Robin neared the crowd, parting from her husbands tight embrace.

"Why are you two in a panic anyways? Did she do anything?" Sam kneeled down to his brother, searching for any injuries.

"W-well- no.. she looked real scary though" Vincent blushed.

He felt embarrassed for running immediately to his older brother for comfort.

"Robin, would you greet her for me? I have to get the cabin cleaned up" Lewis sighed, standing up from his seat.

Scary?

Sebastian thought to himself.

She can't be that intimidating...

He, Sam and Abby followed far behind Lewis and Robin.

They caught glimpse of Jas and Vincent being walked home by Marnie.

Sam waved to Vincent for a second before they stalked behind the bus stop fences.

There stood a small girl with h/l, h/c hair.

She wore clothing that suited the trios tastes perfectly.

The Alternative early 2000s fashion as the media named it.

She had a suitcase covered in what looked like dirt and a black overworked backpack which was decorated with all sorts of patches and pins.

She actually looks cool...

Neither of them knew but they had all thought the same thing.

As Robin and the new farmer walked closer towards them, the three stepped out of hiding.

"Ah! Sebastian Sam Abby!" The ginger smiled nervously, sweat falling slightly from her temples.

"This is my son and his friends, I think you'd really get along with them!" Robin grinned, stepping over to the trio.

She held onto Sebastians arm as to show which one was her child.

"Uh yeah.. maybe" The farmer muttered, she turned her head first then came with her body towards the cabin.

She swayed slightly for each step.

Something about her just felt so strange..

Maybe it was her family background..

Maybe it was just her weird kid vibe.

Well whatever it was, it surely did a good job sending red flags into the heads of the abandoned four.

"U-uh..." Robin stuttered.

The farmer was already at the edge of the path when they started walking.

"I'm scared" Abigail whispered over to Sam.

Her voice became raspy, making it sound like a soft type of yelling.

Either way, Sam couldn't hear fucking shit.

He was too busy pondering about his father's whereabouts and if he was safe.

Sam didn't wanna hate her for his own personal issues.

Besides, it wasn't her fault his dad was gone...

The farmer opened the door quietly upon entering, the small party standing behind her.

Lewis didn't seem to notice their presence upon entering.

The shorter girl walked over the mans person.

Despite being quick with her movements, she hadn't made any noise.

Turning around, Lewis nearly yelled out.

He clutched at his heart from the stealth the girl had.

"Y-you must be Y/n.. you had me in a bit of a fright there.. your so quiet" Lewis chuckled anxiously, forcing a smile.

"Mm.." She hummed in response, turning to look around the cabin.

"Your grandfather used to talk about you all the time, Even showed me pictures! It's unfortunate how you never came to visit-"

"I visited for his funeral" Y/n interrupted him.

The room went dead silent.

It was as if nobody had the right confidence to speak.

It felt cold, standing aside the girl.

Yoba did she paralyze them as they hadn't even notice her turn the light on until she spoke.

"Um.. thanks for uh.. cleaning up..."

Her voice was dry and cold.

She didn't sound very awkward, more as if she was bored with the situation and was uninterested in whatever the towns people had to say.

"Um, yeah... R-Robin? Would you please step out with me for a second?" Lewis muttered, turning his eyes from Y/n to the ginger with a pain filled grin.

For a second, the three younger adults swore they saw Y/n scoff.

Robin nodded softly, giving a soft smile to the new farmer.

Robin was a lot nicer to her than anybody was at the moment.

But Sebastian never seen her so speechless in her entire life..

The door shut, footsteps from the porch growing more distant as if to keep the strange girl from eavesdropping.

Without any sign, Sam dashed over to Y/n, grabbing her by her collar.

She was lifted from the ground slightly.

Even with the current situation, the girl surrendered and gave into Sams surprising gesture.

Her head hung to the side.

Sebastian could see her eyes through her lightly unkept hair staring at the unlit fireplace.

"What do you want here? Are you just here to spy on us? What's your plan?"

Sam says with a grunt, his teeth gritted softly.

Sebastian and Abigail had never seen him so angry before..

"H-hold on Sam-" Abby stepped up, putting a hand on his shoulder.

"My reasons for being here aren't that special really, just like their not any of your business blondie"

Sams eyes grew wide as she took his hand away from her collar, blowing the hairs away from her face.

"Even if I was here to spy, wouldn't I be more happy go lucky? I mean it would make me less suspicious..."

The room was silent as the three listened to her in shock.

She sat cross legged on the empty surfaced coffee table with a lazy grin on her face.

Y/n already knew she was a weird one.

She knew going to Pelican town would have its own consequences.

Especially since it was her so called 'enemy' as her stepmother would call it..

That never stopped her from having a little fun though..

"So if it makes me less suspicious I can talk like this and be nice to everyone! I'm Y/n your name is?" She said with a higher tone, holding her hand out to the blonde with pearly whites brighter than his own.

It nearly sounded sweet for a second..

"Y-you.." Abby tried speaking up but couldn't get anything out.

"Im not here to attack or spy" Y/n said sternly.

Sam was a bit shocked at her sudden change in attitude.

Was she mental?

She had to be..

"Oh come on.." the farmer groaned.

She was irritated with having people judge her truths.

"If it makes you feel better I don't believe in all this war shit either"

The sentence turned heads.

"Not every Gotoro person out there is blood thirsty, now, now that I've explained myself please go, I have matters to attend to" Y/n sighed, standing up slowly.

"Matters?" Sam repeated.

She started stripping, starting off with her oversized black crew neck, revealing a black tank top beneath it as she walked to the bathroom door by the fireplace.

They took the hint, all breathing in with a hitch before scurrying out the house doors.

Sam was dumbfounded, jaw dropped slightly with his gaze locked at the porch floors.

"She's.. uh..." Sebastian uttered, not a single idea popping up of how to describe the new girl.

"Different.." Abby finally answered for him, Seb nodded softly.

"She's cold.. l-like.."

The blonde finally began moving, and with him followed his two friends.

"Sebastian" Abby once again finished the thoughts.

The two nodded in agreement.

Sebastian didn't seem to even care about the insult, as though he was as well left speechless.

And they all were.

They had now idea how to react to Y/n's strange antics one bit..

Yoba they hoped their lives wouldn't stay that awkward forever...
