《Emotionless Princess》Chapter 26

Prince Gabriel and Abigail were left speechless of Eurielle's actions earlier.
'What's wrong with her?'
Gabriel couldn't figured her out these days, no, he couldn't get why Eurielle was acting like that.
Ever since he visited her that one time, Eurielle's attitude changed towards him.
Back then, she used to look at him with such obsessive eyes. She acted like she wanted him.
She even went such lengths like hurting and bullying Abigail just to gain his attention.
"Your highness..." Abigail whimpered.
"What's wrong?" She patted her head.
"Lady Eurielle told me she hates me."
"She's just jealous of you don't mind her."
Gabriel felt that something was changing.
'What made Eurielle change?' He stared blankly at Abigail while she was blabbering in front of him non-stop.
He suddenly recalled the days when Eurielle used to chase him back then.
"Your highness! I brought you some dessert."
"Your highness, you look dashing today as well."
"I really love you, your highness."
"Your highness?"
"Ah. Yes?"
Abigail's voice brought him back to reality.
"You weren't listening?" She pouted. 'What's wrong with him? He seems out of it..' Abigail contemplated.
"I'm sorry. You were saying?" The prince shook off those thoughts. 'What am I thinking?'
"I heard from my father that in their meeting, Grand Duke Deidamus stood up to the emperor about your engagement with Lady Eurielle." She happily said the news.
"What? What happened? He grabbed both of her shoulder.
"Ow- you're hurting me, your highness."
"Ah, sorry." He let go of her shoulders.
"Your highness, are you alright?" Abigail sweetly caressed his cheek.
"Your highness, are you alright?"
"Ahck-"
Gabriel suddenly had a headache. He remembered Eurielle saying the same thing to him too.

But... Why Eurielle? Lately, she's been bugging his mind. It's like in everything he do, she's always included.
Gabriel massaged his temple as he closed his eyes.
"Your highness? Oh no, do you have a headache?" Abigail panicked. 'Is the magic starting to lose its effect?' She gritted her teeth.
"I'll take my leave first. I still have something to do."
"Oh... Ok." Abigail drooped her head.
After that, the prince left the Chatham estate.
*Clack*
"Oh my, was the prince alright?"
"He looked unwell."
"Did you see his treatment towards Lady Eurielle?"
"It's really different towards Lady Brown."
"Is the engagement still valid?"
Abigail who heard these mutterings from the ladies glared at them.
"Didn't you hear what I said earlier? Duke Deidamus already talked to the emperor in order to cancel their engagement. It will be annulled!" She yelled.
The ladies were shocked to see Abigail screaming like that.
They didn't know that she was capable of such thing. After all, the Abigail they knew was always so gentle and kind.
Abigail who realized what she had done, slowly regained her composure.
"Ah- I apologize. I'm just... too out of it. Please excuse me." She bowed in apology.
She left the estate with a dark face.

Eurielle continued to wander in the town together with Nathalia.
Suddenly, she bumped on someone.
"Careful." The person held her waist.
Eurielle looked up to the person in front of her only to see Clayton smiling at her. Those bloody red eyes were really deep.
"Hello, my lady." He pulled her up close.
"Ah... What's your name again?"
'Who is he again...'
Hearing her thoughts, he felt a bit hurt.
"I'm hurt. How could you forget me? It's Clayton." He let go of her and kissed her hand.

"Oh, yes. Clayton. Hello."
"My lady is so cute."
"Thank you, I guess."
"Young master." A man called out to Clayton from behind.
Eurielle looked at him and he had dark blue hair and purple eyes. He had the same features like Nathalia.
"Nathalia?"
"Yes, my lady." Nathalia strode towards her.
"You look like him." She was referring to the man behind Clayton.
"Yes. His name is Nathan. My older twin."
"Greetings, your highness." Nathan greeted her.
"Nathan and Nathalia were brought in by your father. And he gave Nathan to me as an assistant." Clayton explained.
"Really?" Eurielle tilted her head.
The twins bowed in agreement.
"How about you twins wander here a bit? I'll take care of Lady Eurielle for a moment." Clayton reassured.
Eurielle had no objections.
"We understand." The twins replied in unison then they walked away from them after.
"...."
Eurielle just stared at the siblings as they both left them.
"Then, shall we have some fun?" Clayton playfully smirked as he offered his hand.
"Okay." Eurielle receptively accepted his hand.
The two walked while holding hands and Clayton felt happy for some reason.
'Her hand is small. If I hold it too tight it might break.'
Eurielle spotted a flower shop and her sight landed on some roses.
"What's wrong?" He asked why Eurielle stopped walking.
"Look, they're like the color of your eyes. Really pretty."
Clayton felt his heart tickle a bit. Out of all the people he encountered, Eurielle was the only one who has honest enough to say that his eyes were pretty.
After all, he grew up hearing that his eyes were cursed and all.
"Lady Eurielle?"
Someone interrupted.
Eurielle and Clayton both looked at the person who called her name.
It was none other than the prince himself.
"Your highness?"
"What are you doing here?" He walked towards him and glared at their hands that were tightly clasping.
'Why is she here? And that man... Why is he holding her hand?' Gabriel quietly pondered.
Clayton had the urge to burst out in laughter from hearing the prince's thoughts.
"I should ask that, your highness. Why are you here?"
Gabriel's gaze was still stuck on Clayton's and Eurielle's holding hands.
He abruptly grabbed Eurielle's hand that was held by Clayton. Thus separating their hold from each other.
"Come here."
"Ah-" Eurielle felt pain from the prince's hold.
He grabbed her wrist tightly that if he was to let it go, red marks on Eurielle's hand would be seen after.
'This motherf'cker- I made sure to hold her hand gently so she won't get hurt and now he's tightly grabbing her in front of me?' Clayton had this cold presence around him.
"Please let go of her, your highness." Clayton forced a smile.
"Why? Lady Eurielle is engaged to me. You should be the one to stay away from her."
Eurielle really couldn't get the prince's logic.
'But he's together with Lady Brown?'
"Pft- hahahaha! You're funny, your highness." Clayton laughed out loud.
"You're not making sense." Gabriel frowned.
"Ah, you must've not heard the news."
"What news?" Gabriel held Eurielle's wrist tightly.
'It hurts. Can he let go?' Eurielle tried to shake off his hand but the prince was adamant.
Clayton clicked his tongue. "Grand Duke Deidamus...
He revoked the engagement." He grinned.
