On the other side,

Lakshmi's family was in turmoil.

They didn't knew where their daughter was... It's been a many days since she has called them...

They have been calling her since many days but it's of no use as they don't know that her phone has been broken and all they can here is

'server not available'.

For a few days lakshmi's parents thought that she might be busy with her work and her duties but later they started suspecting as they knew that their daughter was never one to be offline. Lakshmi's sister Mona too checked her Insta which showed that she hasn't been online since a week.

She knows very well that her sister can't stay a day without checking her Insta atleast once...

They were worried for their daughter and have talked to veer and Anita about this , but what can this couple do? Even they don't even know what's going on......

Arjun's parents thought that lakshmi and arjun are busy and they forgot to call.... They told lakshmi's parents to not to worry as they knew that she would be safe with their son.

As soon as lakshmi's parents left Rajput's mansion, veer called his son.

Even after 5 calls, his son was not responding which started arousing suspicions....

He talked with his wife Anita about this , while she said him to not to worry unnessarily as the couple might be busy....

They both decided to call them in the evening...

but veer's mind started drawing unsettling thoughts about his son.... He knows his son too well , better than his wife who is his son's mother....

As soon as it was evening,

the Rajput's mansion recieved a courier from NYC. The watchman gave it to guard and the guard gave it to the Butler.

Anita was happy seeing a courier from NYC. She knows that it's from her son and she happily tore the brown cover of the box.

What her son might have sent?

Veer too came and stood beside his excited wife as soon as she said that it's from arjun. Veer relaxed knowing that both his son and daughter in law are fine. As soon as she opened the box,

Their faces lost its color.

Their bodies paled.

Anita fainted.

The photos of arjun whipping lakshmi, burning her fingers, raping her, shaving her, making her eat from ground with her mouth,

Lakshmi's bleeding body, scattered torn and bleeding clothes, crouching and hiding in the corner to escape from their son with fear....

All of those photos are now scattered on the floor....

Veer lifted his wife in his arms carefully and took her to their room with a guilty heart....

Guilty for their daughter in law...

He came back and sent few of those photos to his most trusted man to get them verified.

Every second was like a decade for him. He is numb, but he knows that his son is not his kind of a person...

A person who raises his hand on innocent woman....that too his own wife....

He knows well about lakshmi and he knows his son too....he knows....

The results came out to be as positive, these photos ain't morphed. Veer wasn't surprised either. He knows his son....what his son can do when he is in anger because both father and son are alike.... He asked his men to get the information of what arjun has been doing since past one month and also where his daughter in law was....

He threw his phone aside and covered his face with both his hands and groaned in frustration and anger.

flashes of lakshmi crying and begging her parents to not send her away after their marriage.....

He sighed and exhaled...

Veer called viraj, arjun's right hand man and asked him to get arjun and lakshmi back to India , which is an order that viraj has to obey because his father works for Veer Singh Rajput.

Anita opened her eyes and stayed still on the bed. She wasn't able to move her legs or hands... She looked out of the window and remembered those photos which she dosen't want to....

She runs many organizations for women under the name

'Aashaya foundation ' which is a ray of light for many woman who faced domestic violence or abused and don't have a roof on their head....

they provide them justice and look after them if they are not accepted by the society.....

but she couldn't provide safety to the little girl who got married into her family....

Her heart is bleeding remembering how scared lakshmi looked in those photos. How she was covering herself from the whip....and it was done by none other than her son whom she was always proud of.....

Veer and Anita slept on their sides of the bed....if it would be any other day, they would have cuddled and discussed about how their day was...

But not today....

They can't....

After seeing how their daughter in law was treated....

As soon as the sun rised

Both Anita and Veer were on their foot without a word....

The mother feeling numb about her son while the father feeling guilty for their only daughter in law who should be treated no less than a queen as they promised to her parents....

Only if they haven't asked her hand for their son....

Arjun entered the Rajput's mansion like a corpse he was since the day she left.... He came as soon as his subordinate has informed him that his parents asked for his presence in the mansion....

They didn't ask him to come...

They ordered him to come...

Anita stopped in her tracks as soon as she saw her son standing in the middle of the hall with an empty gaze, looking no where....

His eyes were shallow

and his gaze was hollow

as if his soul no more resides in his body...

Anita was about to move towards her son and when a voice echoed in the mansion, she halted in her steps.

" where is lakshmi? " Veer Singh rajput asked while descending the stairs in his black shirt and pant.

The air was dense as silence prevailed in the whole mansion as no sounds were heard from either side...

Arjun stood still without a change in his previous demeanor...

still lost....

Veer strode towards arjun in a faster pace and removed his belt in a swift motion while standing infront of his son.

The whole mansion echoed with the leash sounds of the belt hitting the skin... But there were no sounds from the person to whom that skin belongs to....

After another 5 minutes , Veer let the belt slip from his hands . He looked towards his wife who is sitting on the couch and looking at the empty wall...

He knew she is in pain...

But he knew that she wants justice for that little girl whom their son has destroyed...

Arjun stood still

As if he nothing has happened....

As if the pain dosen't matter anymore.

Suddenly he could see the flashes of lakshmi bleeding while he hit her continously with a whip infront of his eyes....

' She must have felt more pain....

She is......

......a girl.....

.....her skin is tender..... '

He couldn't ease himself with his father's wrath...

He wanted more...

He wanted to feel more...

Something which could lessen atleast a bit of his pain in his cold heart.....which is not cold for her....

Veer sighed and let his body fall on the couch with hopelessness...

Never had he ever thought that his younger son who was his pride would do something like this.....something which would bring shame on his upbringing.... though they were not in right track from the beginning, but they had their own rules and morals like any other human....

Anita didn't even dare to look at her son.... Even though her heart clenched at the sounds of belt, but she didn't dare to move remembering how he beat her daughter in law as if an evil has taken over his body...

Anita dosen't know about her family yet... She dosen't know that the males in her family are not what they seem infront of her... Though they may seem strict in public and sweet at home but they never let her see their true characters....

" where is she? " veer asked looking at viraj who is standing near the entrance of the mansion.

Viraj gulped looking at his Master's father.... Age hasn't taken away his fear from the people..... People don't dare to even look at them in the eye...

" mistress has left home " viraj kept it short. He dosen't want to offend his master too.

But Veer's silence indicated him to speak which he can't disobey. After a few seconds of turmoil, viraj opened his mouth

" miss has left the home along with the baby and dog , almost a week back and we couldn't trace mistress where abouts. " viraj said trembling and lowered his head as this was the first time he failed in tracing out someone....and not to forget that it was a women.....

All of his team has been searching for her day and night without sleep...but still they couldn't even get a single clue that could lead them to her.... It is as if she disappeared into thin air....

As soon as Anita left without saying a single word, Veer called his right hand men Irmaan and asked him to dispatch black snake troop.

The most feared and merciless troop of the underground which deals with assasinations under Veer Singh Rajput. None escaped their target since once it was set. This is most hidden troop which none of the other members under the father and son know how their faces even look.

Anita on the other hand tried calling Rahul multiple times but, she entrusted him with lakshmi's safety after her son. She was the one who asks rahul time to time about her daughter in law and this is the reason why rahul used to visit and keep in touch with lakshmi. Later on he truly cared about her as he saw her like his own sister....that was until arjun restricted him from coming to his mansion. Though he was reluctant but he accepted as he knew that his friend was serious, so he didn't budge them with his presence anymore....

but he did keep in touch with lakshmi.....

But he didn't know that the poor soul who is texting him saying

'I'm fine,

how are you?,

did you eat?,

I'm busy, I will call you later ' is all different from what she is facing in that mansion.....with a fear of her bugged phone, she couldn't reveal anything to her brother.....nor her parents nor to anyone, except herself...

It's not that Anita didn't trust her son, she just wanted to keep someone there for her daughter when arjun wouldn't be available....someone to keep her safe... She was just looking for her daughter as any parent should do and it's her responsibility to do so.....

" where have we gone wrong? " Anita asked looking at the sky....

" maybe we were wrong from the start " mumbled Veer and kissed her forehead while staring along with her into the sky....

Though they are together

in this journey since a long time...

but they are in

different paths...

One dosen't know her own son's nature....

while the other is dying every single second by hiding his true nature and many secrets underneath his love....

But in the last

he dosen't want to give her up

And is ready.....

To put on this facade for eternity

To have her with him....

Maybe this is a type of love
