"Sometimes when you meet someone there's a click. I don't believe in love at first sight but I believe in that click."
exhausted. He gets out of the car and begins walking towards the old plantation that holds so many memories, good and bad. He stops mid step with a bag in his hand when he hears an unknown angelic voice, though the words that were being spoken were out of anger.
"You want to know what I was doing? Buying poison to put your baby out of its misery!" Hayley yells frustrated with Klaus' mood swings and the situation as a whole.
All of a sudden all Gabriel could hear was someone's loud gasping and his sister screaming. He drops his bag on the dirty pavement and speeds through the door but they all were too distracted to notice. Rebekah speeds towards Niklaus to pull him off of the brunette Wolf but he just throws her aside with his other arm and she goes flying into the wall. Picture frames and art hung on the wall goes flying everywhere in little pieces.
Gabriel was already cranky from traveling so much in a day, and is basically fuming at this point and speeds towards his younger brother in a rage and pins him against the wall by his neck.
Klaus, slightly alarmed shows his hybrid face to the intruder but once he sees it was his older brothers tribrid face inches away from his own he immediately goes back to normal and was slightly scared.
"You ever touch our sister let alone a pregnant woman again and I will tear your heart out myself!" Gabriel seethes, impossibly tightening his grip on his brothers neck.
Klaus unable to speak due to the painfully tight grip Gabriel had on his neck nods his head frantically and when released slides down the wall trying to catch his breath.
Gabriel looks behind him towards his sister and the pregnant she wolf. Hayley, he had learned was her name from his sisters constant rambling over the phone. She was more beautiful than he could've ever expected. But currently she was heaving on the floor trying to catch her breath while Rebekah tried to calm her down.
Gabriel walks towards the two females and squats down to their level. He brings both his hands up to Hayleys cheeks and lifts her head up checking around her bruised and swollen neck.
He tries calming her down by rubbing her cheeks with the pad of his thumbs while whispering. "Just breathe love, you're safe now."
Hayley lifts her head when she hears a new voice as she breathes heavily to see the most beautiful man she's ever met. It doesn't take her long to realize this must be the man she's been waiting to meet. The writer of all those journals. He was perfect in her eyes.
He breaks eye contact after her breathing finally steadies. He stands to his feet and offers a hand to help her up, accepting it she stands up and begins to sway from the dizziness in her head.
Gabriel sees her stumble like a fawn and catches her before she could fall. Wrapping an arm around her lower back and under her knees he easily lifts her bridal style into his arms. She wraps her arms around his neck and begins to fall in and out of sleep completely exhausted
Gabriel turns towards Niklaus once again who stares at the three in front of him in bewilderment. "Tell me what you've done with Elijah. Now." He says with a look daring his brother to say otherwise.

Niklaus looks away with a slightly ashamed look muttering just loud enough for the other two originals to hear. "I gave him to Marcel."
"Excuse. Me." Gabriel grits out, unintentionally tightening his hold on Hayley. He softens his hold when he feels her lightly squirm and she snuggles her face into his neck being barely awake. He gets chills down his neck and stares at the brunette beauty in his arms before focusing back on the situation at hand.
"You bartered our brother! How could you?" Rebekah yells but quickly quiets down when she sees the look her elder brother gives her as he motions with his head towards the barely awake wolf.
"I have a plan. And if you both don't like it feel free to leave." Niklaus says getting up and beginning to walk away.
"Niklaus." Gabriel warns, making Klaus tense up. He knew he wouldn't get away with talking like that to his older brother but he hoped he would accept his answer. "You have a week to fix this, or else I'm getting involved and no one will like what the end result is." He promises before turning to Rebekah, "I'll talk to you in the morning Bex." She nods as he kisses her cheek and begins walking up the stairs to lay Hayley down.
As he's walking down the hall he realizes he has no idea which room was hers. He looks down to ask but sees she's lightly snoring in deep sleep.
He debates to himself for a second before opening a door to a room he hadn't been in for a century now. He lays her down on the bed and covers her up gently. He stares at her for a second before he distantly tucking a stray piece of hair behind her ear and gently admires her.
He smiles softly and turns around to find another room to sleep in when he feels a tug at his shirt. Looking down he realizes the wolf had a strong grip on his sleeve. He slowly and carefully attempts to pull it out of her grasp only for her to tighten it and bring it closer to her chest, snuggling up to the shirt.
He chuckles softly, and begins taking off his shirt with her grip still on the sleeve he grabs extra blankets and pillows and slips out of the room with one last glance towards the beautiful female on his bed. He walks across the hallway into a random guest room and falls into a deep sleep.

The next morning Gabriel walks into the kitchen to see his sister looking through a magazine as she sits at the kitchen counter.
He walks up to her kissing her cheek with a small morning greeting making her face light up. She never felt more loved and safe than she did with her older brother. No one, not even any of her siblings could hurt her when he was there.
"You seem to have taken a quick liking to Hayley." Rebekah slyly comments while taking a sip of her coffee still looking at the magazine she had no interest in.
Gabriel rolls his eyes at her antics. "You dear sister are becoming delusional. You've spent too much time with Niklaus." He says making her laugh.
He begins taking out ingredients for breakfast. "You don't eat big meals for breakfast." Rebekah says narrowing her eyes at her brothers actions.
"Pregnant women need to eat as well Bex." He says knowing what was coming. His siblings always liked to play match maker whenever he was around, even Niklaus. He guessed it was their way of trying to make him stay longer.

"You have taken a liking to the wolf." She says with a smug smirk, Gabriel just rolls his eyes for what felt like the hundredth time in the past 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, Hayley wakes up to a heavenly scent. She opens her eyes and looks around confused realizing she was in the room she found all of the journals in.
She recounts everything that happened last night and deeply blushes when she realizes she slept in Gabriel's bed and fell asleep while he was carrying her.
She slowly rises out of the bed that was ten times more comfortable than hers and for the first time in weeks she didn't have a sore back and didn't wake up drenched in her own sweat.
She notices an air conditioner in the corner installed into the wall and silently wished she had this room.
She walks down the stairs to see Rebekah and Gabriel in the kitchen. Joining them she shyly says looking towards Gabriel, "Thanks, um for last night."
She grabs out the cereal and a small bowl about to pour herself some breakfast when Gabriel grabs both from her hands handing her a plate of a variety of healthy yet good breakfast choices.
"It's honestly fine Hayley, and also you're pregnant you deserve a real breakfast." He says with a wink making her blush deeply.
Rebekah watches the two and smiles slightly. Standing up from her chair she breaks the staring contest between the two. "I have to go help Niklaus with his plan to get back Elijah."
Gabriel nods his head giving her a hug and a kiss on the head. "I found the daggers last night under Kol's coffin, Niks not getting them back. Call me if you need me."
She smiles widely kissing him on the cheek and strides out of the room feeling better about her day already. Niklaus could no longer threaten her with the daggers and even if he did he would get his behind handed to him in less than a second.
Taking a seat across from Hayley Gabriel says with a small smile, "I hope you slept well."
She swallows her mouth full of eggs she had been embarrassingly devouring and nods, "I slept amazing. Your bed is ten times more comfortable than mine and my room is like a Sauna. Your room is the only one with air conditioning."
"You can sleep in there from now on." Gabriel says simply shrugging.
"W-What? No. I couldn't take your room, it's fine." She says stuttering. Not even Elijah had been this kind to her.
"Hayley, you're pregnant. Unlike my younger brothers I like to think I respect woman more than that. Take the room, it's yours." He says leaving no room for argument.
She nods silently happy. She had wanted to take the room when she first got here but Klaus said it was strictly taken and Elijah only smirked at her questions of who's room it was.
"Shouldn't you be with your siblings today planning on how to get your brother back?" She asks confused as to why he would spend time with her while his brother was locked in a coffin with a dagger in his heart somewhere.
"I've given Klaus a week to do things his way before I step in. Unlike my siblings I won't tolerate Marcellus' acts of being the 'king' of New Orleans." He says shaking his head in slight disbelief at the thought of the boy. "Anyways how are you feeling about the pregnancy?"
"Um. I guess I was shocked at first. With Klaus as the father I guess I was scared when Elijah disappeared. But when push came to shove yesterday fighting against those vampires I realized it wasn't just me I was fighting for. I'd do anything to protect it." She says smiling softly while rubbing her abdomen.
"A pregnant werewolf against 4 vampires, bad ass." Gabriel smirks as she blushes again. She seemed to be doing it a lot and he hoped he was always able to have this affect on her.
"If you're not helping your siblings then what are you doing today?" She asks avoiding his eyes after him no doubt observing her blushing again.
"I have a few businesses around the country I usually call or email to check in on them every couple of weeks." He says surprising her. From what she's seen the Mikaelsons seem to have more than enough money.
"What type of businesses do you own?" She asks intrigued.
"Hotels, casinos, resteraunts, banks." He shrugs nonchalantly while her jaw basically falls to the floor. Before she can respond he puts their plates in the sink. "I have to go run a few errands. Rebekah will be back in about 30 minutes give or take."
She nods a bit disappointed thinking he would stay at the plantation all day with her.
He smirks slightly seeing the look of disappointment on her face and chuckles making her head shoot towards him. "Don't worry love, I'll be back soon. Want anything from the grocery store?"
It seemed like such an innocent question, and it was. For a second she imagines what a life with Gabriel would be like. To be married, have kids. He would be the perfect husband and father. She's snapped out of her thoughts by him shaking her shoulders slightly. "What?" She asks still in a daze.
"Do you need anything?" He asks with a cocked head and a smirk that was starting to annoy her to no end. Every time she was caught blushing she saw a small smirk arise on his face. She knew she'd been caught.
"Um, yeah. I'd ask Rebekah but she still seems to not like me all that much. Klaus didn't really get me any female shampoo or any of that stuff..." she says embarrassed she has to even ask for a male to buy all that stuff for her.
"It's alright Hayley, my brothers a bit slow if were being honest. I'll buy it. I'll see you later love." He says kissing her cheek like it was an everyday occurrence before walking out of the house.
Hayley smiles widely and touches her cheek. She was growing feelings for the older Mikaelson and fast. She was slightly panicked at this revelation. He would never go for someone like her, she was pregnant with his brothers baby for gods sake. She slightly sighs.

Later on Gabriel walks into the house with tons of bags from the store on his arms. He sets them on the table in the dining room and listens for any movement through out the home.
His eyebrows furrow when he doesn't hear Hayley or Rebekah. He grabs out his phone hoping nothing was wrong and texts the Little wolf.
To: Hayley
Where are you?
Less than a minute later his phone beeps and he hurriedly opens the message.
From: Hayley
Baby doctor in the Bayou.
He furrows his eye brows and calls Rebekah's phone. After a couple of rings she answers.
"Yes brother?" She sounds annoyed.
"Are you with Hayley?" He says getting straight to the point.
"No? Should I be?" She says confused, she knew Hayley was going to the Bayou for her doctors appointment. "The witch Agnes came by and offered to take her to the doctor place in the Bayou where Marcel wouldn't see her."
Gabriel sighs loudly, "Damn it Rebekah!" He says harshly, surprising her and hurting her feelings a bit. He never raised his voice or was rude to her. He never called her by her full name unless he was angry. He hangs up the phone, and once she hears the beep of the phone call she pulls the phone away from her ear staring at the screen with an upset look on her face.
Gabriel on the other hand didn't take anymore time to dwell on the phone call and rushes to the Bayou. The witches were up to something, he'd be damned if they touched Hayley or his unborn niece or nephew.

Edge Cases (Book 1 Complete!)
Rare classes and powerful skills are helpful. Too bad the system doesn't seem built to handle them. What even are all these errors? Our team of outcasts and adventurers will have to rely on their trust - and the bane of all stories, healthy communication - just to survive, let alone understand what the system is doing. Because they're quickly realizing that it's doing something; to people, to monsters, and maybe even to the gods themselves. And their goal isn't just to survive; it's to make things better. It's a good thing they're not doing it alone. --- Edge Cases is an attempt to take the LitRPG genre and the overpowered MCs trope and write a story where numbers aren't everything. Sometimes it takes trust, support, and just a touch of being very, very clever. Expect a mix of action, slice-of-life, friendship, and ominous worldbuilding. Updates M-W-F at 6pm EST. Cover art by Alovck of Artstation, and typesetting by jessessey right here on RoyalRoad.
8 228Elrich Saga Yellow Springs Book One
A young college student gets killed and accidentally saves the world. As thanks, a group of gods decide to give him a second life. They send him to Elrich, a world with monsters, demons, and where adventures await. However, his goddess liaison is a bit of an airhead and messed up his reincarnation. What sort of place awaits him in this world full of danger and uncertainty? This world is harsh, not at all the fantasy fluff and harems he'd imagined. Will he be able to keep his sanity with death around every corner? This story has LGBTQ friendly themes. It touches on drug use, child molestation, rape, children committing murder, death sentencing as a form of punishment, and questioning one's sexual identity. There are some harsh themes, since this is meant to be a harsh world. Some themes touch upon the MC directly, the others happen to secondary characters. I try not to go into too graphic of detail and I believe that this story is 16+ friendly. I promise that these themes tie together in the end to make a cohesive whole and are used to provide back story for later developments.
8 136Grey Worlds
A mysterious incident occurred on a otherwise normal science centered world where all of the children from the age range of eight to sixteen suddenly vanished. “Where have their kids gone and will they ever return?” The now childless parents never got to really ask that question, because a strange new element replaced their lost children. This element slowly mutated the various animals that they once ruled over with their technology to the point that they were immune to their modern weaponry. The barren land of savages on a continent far away from theirs also had their children taken, but they easily mutated just like the beasts and only grew stronger thanks to the incident. A revolution of animals eventually took place after the mutations started to cause the animals to understand just how badly the humans ruined their lives and planet. Humans were the slowest to figure out how to use this strange new element to evolve, while their opponents were evolving and growing stronger by the day they couldn’t even surpass their modern technology. When humanity was on the brink of extinction a long forgotten event finally ended and their children finally started to return from the various worlds they were summoned to! It turns out that the mysterious new element that they didn’t know what to call was mana and that it’s everywhere in some fantasy planets. The children brought back a increase in technology and techniques to grow stronger with, which caused the humans to finally be able to build safe havens for their race. They grew stronger and started to finally adapt to their brand new environment. This is the story of a orphan who was taken away from his world, before he could gain a sense of attachment to the world. Who only has his older sister to care about and how he ends up adapting to the new world in front of him.------------------Dog notes by doggo First 'five' chapters aren't what the story is really about and is more of a prologue. The reason why some are separated into parts is because Doggo originally posted them as a entire chapter. The main setting is Ghost's actual world and not any foreign world. So this story was already posted once to another site or this site three years ago… and Dog is finally ending that three year hiatus! The explanation on why Dog was on a three year hiatus would of been written in the review section, but rrl doesn't allow self reviews. I'd have to create a alt just to self review which they obviously don't want even tho I'd not give myself any stars so its going to be here instead. The update schedule is a chapter a week till Dog get a editor and then two chapters a week till Dog gets enough money to pay for Dog’s bills. The final goal is to release a chapter every other day. Dog writes 4k word chapters so they are about twice as long as some of the other authors so every other day is actually more like once a day. ------------------- The part that was supposed to be the 'review' which Dog wont bother editing out repeat infomation since it wasn't supposed to go here in the first place. The first thing Dog will go over is what changed for the first 5 chapters, so that anyone who still remembers Dog's little novel and wants to continue from where Dog originally left off can decide whether or not to reread it. Also Dog is moving over to qidan simply because dog like the app they have. Dog won't go premium even if Qidan tells dog to and will simply move back to royalroad or create a blog. The things that changed over the years are mainly two important things. The first is that Dog changed the first person point of view to a third person, because Dog read a really bad first person novel and it reminded dog of dogs own novel. Dog also changed the thoughts of the character to be - - instead of italics. Finally dog changed chapter 3 completely to make the mc not seem like a homicidal maniac and introduced a important character in chapter 3.What happened to do in the three years that dog was away? Was dog at college and now needs money to eat? Was dog off in space after successfully becoming a astronaut and has now returned home with a completed novel or two? The answer is actually quite plain dog graduated from highschool and was supposed to only spend a year at dogs owners house to choose what major dog wanted to go to college for.Dog didn't do that and is still stuck with dogs owners and is sick of being a neet. Dog wants to move and buy doggy food, but dog is antisocial and doesn't want to work a simple 9 to 5 job for the rest of dogs life. Dog is a reader before dog is a author and the reason why dog got into writing was because dog wanted to write a novel without all the things dog finds annoying. Dog spent the first year reading various novels and dropping various novels. Dog is all caught up and has to much free time on dogs paws. The first year that Dog took off was the very same year that qidan came out so dog was naturally overloaded with free chapters. But now that pemium exists dog naturally has to limit the amount dog can read. Dog is addicted to reading like my very own readers and can understand your frustrations for dog disappearing for 3 years.Dog decided that dog will go back to writing 2 years ago. Dog wanted a decent stockpile incase dog has any other emergency so dog didn't post for a year but then dog decided to change the point of view which took another year.Dog has a patreon page https://www.patreon.com/mclaindog but there isn't any tiers there or goals till dog gets a editor. My final goal is to release a chapter every other day, but as long as Dog gets a editor Dog will do two free chapters a week.Dog will probably also make a kofi for anyone who just wants to send dog a tip and can't afford to donate money monthly while maybe having bonus chapters if the tip jar gets filled.
