Sean pointed to a tall kid with brown hair with a strong build walking to us. "Hey uncle! Is this max? Hi I'm Justin." "H-hi." "Ok everyone Line up! Smaller person first then bigger! We're racing around the gym!" "Well let's get going." Justin and me walked to the end of the line. It was uncomfortable. He was too close. When we got to the other side of the gym I was in front. When Sean blew his whistle everyone took off running. I was literally the last person. I tired to hurry but my legs wouldn't move faster. "Your doing great! Keep going Max!" Justin...is..cheering for me? All the other boys tagged there people in while I still was half way there. I'm sorry. I'm so weak I can't even run. When I got there Justin bust out running. Dang he's fast. Sean walked over to me. "You ok max? Need to go to the nurse?" "N-no...I'm good." He smiled and went to call gym done. "Yeah! Ok the winners are Jake and Ren!" I quickly ran to he locker rooms to change back. I don't wanna be with people. I was still breathing hard when I went to go change into my clothes but there gone! "No!....no!" I heard the boys coming. I ran out to Sean but two big arms pulled me back into the locker room. "Where's ya clothes at faggot?" "L-Luke please let go...I need my clothes." "Oh you see what had happen was that I ripped them." Him and his friends started laughing. They let go and got changed then left. I walked out looking down. "S-Sean?" "Yes max? Class is over you can change now." "T-t-t-they ripped my clothes.." "who?" "I-I don't..don't want to g-get them in trouble." "Max come on let's get you some clothes." We walked in silence to the office. "Hello Mary can I get some small boys clothes?" "Oh yeah. I'll be right back Sean." The women ran off. "Now max either way there going to get in trouble. I need names. I don't want to call home." I have to. If dad found out....he's gonna be even more mad. "L-luke...I don't k-know the others." The lady came back. "See not so hard. Go get changed." I nodded. "T-thank you." I took the clothes and walked to the office bathroom. I quickly changed back. I picked up the gym clothes and walked back out.

Sean was on the phone and Miss.Mary was gone. "Where is your next class max?" "L-lunch." I'll walk you down. I nodded. We started walked out and down the hall. "So max I was wondering would you come to dinner tonight or tomorrow night with my family?" "I-I-I-I ask my dad." He won't let me. He don't like me bringing people home. "Ok." When we got to the doors. Luke looked my way. Sean walked us other there. "Luke and the rest of you guys to the office now. Detention for a week plus a phone call home." Oh no. Please no. "Mr..Mr.pine..y-you d-d-don't-"I said to the office now!" The boys got up and gave me a death glare. They walked out.
"Max where's your lunch?" Sean set down next to me. I looked down. "I-I-I fo-forgot it." "Oh well here." I looked over at him. He was pulling out his wallet and pulled out a 20 dollar bill. My eyes widen. I could never pay him back. "Here." "N-no thank you S-sir." "No take it max. I'm not leaving till you do." "I-I-I can't p-pay you back." "It's fine." I took the money. The most money I had ever had. Sean walked away. I got up and walked to the lunch line. It was chicken patty day. I grabbed one and apples with two puddings and a power aid juice. It only came up to 6.67. I paid and set back down and dug in. It felt so good to eat. I'm gonna save the pudding for home so I can eat then. I looked around. No one sits near me. "Hey...it's Max right?" I looked up to see Justin. I nodded. He set down next to me. Is he crazy? I'm such a loser. I shouldn't be next to someone so clean. "You eat a lot." He started laughing. "S-sorry." I looked down. "Nah it's all cool. You look adorable with chubby cheeks." A-adorable...oh. My cheeks started to get warm.

I can't keep my wolf from pouncing. Max is my mate. He is so cute and adorable. I already told my uncle and mind linked my pack. He had blush on his face. So cute. "T-thanks." I started to eat. I don't mind him being an runt or a omega but he is is skinny. Sean told me about about the bruises. He think it's his dad. There not in my pack so I don't know them well or at all. "Hey max want to be my friend?" He shyly nodded. "That's dope." He is just so small. He picked up his trey and dumped it. "I-i have to go. B-b-bye." "Wait!" He jumped but turned around. "Y-yes?" "Can I get your number?" He looked down. "I-I-I don't h-h-have a-a p-phone." Oh. But he's a teen? I looked up at him. He's probably poor. "Oh. Well can I come to your house? To study or just hang out?" He tensed up. "N-n-not today...maybe tomorrow." He quickly walked way. Why didn't you tell him?! He's broken I have to gain his trust! And don't yell at me you hoe. Hey that girl was fine as hell how could I not smash! Umm wait oh yeah...because you have a mate. Hah I smashed that poptart good. She was howling my name. Correction my name Drake. He huffed and went back to the back if my head. As you can tell my wolf is a dick but he's just like me. Plus that chick was hot. I looked at the cafe doors smelling his wonderful sent. He's mine.

Catalyst: Avowed
The year is 605, and in your home— the country of Corcaea— the souls of mankind belong to demons. A phenomenon known as the "Catalyst" is what's to blame. This diabolical phenomenon lurks within every man, woman, and child. It can turn any human into a demon, if they fall prey to one, all-consuming element. It can be anything. Fear. Grief. Generosity. Even love. In a land where Gods are real and Corcaea's theocracy is the last hope for mankind, you follow in the footsteps of Father Richard Anscham: a deeply disturbed young priest, the leader of the Church of Mercy, and the foremost researcher of the Catalyst. Despite completing a holy mission from the Goddess of Mercy, obtaining a holy Relic, and escaping from demon-infested ruins, Father Anscham is in greater peril than ever before. Ravaged in mind, body, and soul, the solace he begs to receive from the Church of Flesh is impeded by a cruel lesson: the ramifications of a life spent sacrificing everything one has for others. See through the harrowing eyes of a man at his wit's end; through a dark fantasy tale of horror, hope, and desperation. Search for the cure. Conquer your personal demons. Welcome to Catalyst! As this is an archive of Catalyst Quest (an interactive, collaborative story), the prompts that were included with the original run of Avowed have been stripped, and the story is presented like a traditional novel for your reading convenience. If you would like to read Catalyst in its original format or participate in current events, you can find us here, on Sufficient Velocity. This book is complete! The story will continue with Catalyst: Calunoth, just as soon as I am done revising its content for here on Royal Road.
