Major time skip

Its been three years since i came in to foster care and it has been so good

I graduated 3 years ago and now I'm a sophomore in college I'm going to college to be a counselor and for business

I have a boyfriend and we been together for about a year and 1 month i gave him a hard time at first but i finally broke and let him in but he doesn't know about my past

Mrs. Sarah and her wife Mrs Diane have been so sweet to me they give me the world something i didn't have before and i told them everything

I have an apartment by myself and a car that they bought me for my birthday

I call Mrs. Diane ma and Mrs. Sarah mommy she is the women in the relationship

Im currently with James and we are in this Italian place eating and talking

" When do you leave babe" James asked

" in about an hour if i don't want to get caught in traffic" i replied back as i ate a fork full of pasta

Another thing i have done with my life for the past few years is make up

I started doing it on mommy and i would post videos on Instagram and it gave me hundreds of followers then i met this dude and his name is Dakota and he is gay he also dose make up

So he invited me to come out to this photo shoot and help with make up and i thought it was too good to be true but i went anyways with James tagging along and we did make up together and had a blast

I didn't know that Dakota was a big deal in the make up business so when people heard i was good enough to work with him

People started booking me and my insta followers blew up so now I'm really known and insta famous but i don't let it get to my head

" I'm going to miss you i don't know why you wont let me go" James pouted

" Babe this is business and i don't need to be distracted " i said back while rolling my eyes

Me and Dakota have a make up business together and we got to go back to my home town for about a year because we have been booked to do make up for movies, weddings, baby showers, and more movies

So i have to take my college classes online to stay caught up

"Why do y'all have to be gone so long tho it don't make no damn since" he pouted

"Babe do you know how long it takes to make a movie and we have to do make up for every scene you lucky we might not do it for the other people that want us to do make up for their movies you have to realize this how i make my money you should be proud of me" i said annoyed

"I am proud but i can take care of you and you know this pulse once before you said you would never go back to your home town" he said

"Money's calling babe and i couldn't let kota do it all himself " i said

"But i-" he started but i cut him off

"But nothing I'm going and that's it i have to go" i said getting up from the table as he also got up and left money on the table

My phone rung and it was my mommy

"Hello" i said

"Hey baby i was calling to say i love you and to be safe and make sure to call me and try to come and visit oh and i will send you and Dakota some care packages do you need money" mommy Sarah said

"OK and no mommy i don't need money I'm walking James to his car so i can head out i will let you know when we get there OK and i love you" i said smiling

"OK baby love you to bye" she said and we hung up

We made it to James car and i looked at him

We hugged for about a good 5 minutes and kisses for about 3

"I love you and be safe"he said

"I love you to and i will" i said back

He got in his car and rolled his window down

"Call me anytime for anything" he said and i nodded and walked and got in my car

When i was settled in my car i pulled out my phone to send Dakota a quick text

I then pluged my phone up to my aux cord and drove off

I pulled up in the parking space in front of the apartment that me and kota will be staying in

I sent him a quick text saying i was here and to come help me get my stuff

He came down and ran to me with a big ass goofy smile

"My bitch finally made it " he yelled and i laughed and meet him half way and gave him a big hug

"I missed you so much babe " i said to him and he laughed

"And why you got on these short ass shorts" he asked spinning me around

"Cause I'm grown you the one with them tights on showing that big ass camel toe" i said as i doubled over laughing

"Ouu bitch since its so damn funny carry yo own shit " he said with an attitude trying to hide his smile and he failed as he laughed with me

After we got all my stuff in and i unpacked and put everything away i looked at the time and it was only 4:00 pm

Kota stuck his head in my room and asked if i wanted to go to the mall i agreed and we headed out

Its been years since i left but everything looked the same

When we got to the mall we went into every single store after making 3 stops to the car to put our bags up we where now in a shoe store looking at shoes

"Ouu bitch them shoes look good ass fuck " kota said pointing to some shoes that i already have

"Yea i already have them but get them so we can twin" i said

"Don't know body care that you a shoe fanatic but ill get them just because they will look sex on my big ass feet" he said looking at his sandal covered feet

"Right" i said and laughed as he ignored me

"Empress is that you" some female asked from beside me

I looked to my side and seen a friend from long ago...esha

"Oh hey esha yea its me" i smiled and gave her a side hug as i looked down at her little girl Tory who looked to be six or seven

"I knew that was you i follow you on insta girl you are so pretty" she said and i smiled and said thanks

"How you been" she asked and when i was about to answer kota cut me off

" I'm about to go pay for these shoes ill pay for yours just pay me back" he said

"Umm negative you owe me nigga so shoes are on you" i said

"I was going to pay for your massage and spy treatment but ill do yo shoes instead " he said walking off

"Never mind ill pay for my shoes" i yelled

"That's what i thought " he said back and i just laughed and looked back at esha

"Sorry bout that but i been really good living life and I'm happy" i said

She nodded

"Have you talked to anyone since you left she asked and i shook my head no

"Well can we have lunch one day and talk " she asked

"Can we have it now cause ima be pretty busy this year" i said and she nodded

Kota came back over and i told him i was going to catch up with esha and he said OK and went to do some other stuff but was coming to pick me up once i finished

Me and esha went to the food court and got Chinese and sat down

"So tell me whats been up" i said

"Well your mom and dad broke up" she said witch caused me to choke on my drink

"Really why" i asked

"Well she went into deep depression when you got took and she went looking for you and your dad got mad and beat her half to death it was all on the news she told everything that happened in that house so your dad is in prison doing 40 to life and your mom got out last year she only did 2 years and 1 year in a mental hospital it was the talk around town for a couple years and around that time i found u on insta and i showed your mom one day and you are all she ask about she explained

I just sat back and shook my head damn was all i could think but i didn't feel bad at all they deserve everything coming there way for what they did to me

She continued

" and Eli went looking for you to but stopped about 2 years ago because he didn't have any luck but he found you on insta as i did but he didn't reach out because he said you looked happy" she said

Eli i missed him so much... I loved him

Loved

I thought he didn't care so i had to move on but hearing his name made me feel some type of way a good way

When i was about to say something two dudes walked up one was holding a little boy that resembled esha

"Hey babe "esha said giving the dude with the baby a kiss and the other dude just stared at me

When i looked at him good all these feelings came rushing back and i froze

"Eli ?? " i asked

"Empress" he said and my whole world stopped
