Hello, Everyone, this is J.Rose speaking aka Boyslovefanfics

I am writing this open letter in all of my stories to let everyone know what is going on. Just yesterday I was told by a fellow writer that there is a site out there called Trueyenfun that is plagiarizing stories on wattpad.

At first I could not understand but after some searching on that site I was able to find that my stories were there. I could not find them on the search engine of the site but this is my story on it's page in the recommended along with other fellow writers stories.

Oddly enough I was not upset for myself but for my fellow writers. We all work hard for our plots and storylines. I can't speak for others, but for myself who is a fanfiction writer. Despite that, some of my characters are my own, I write my own plots and despite the fact that Sotus, and 2 moon characters are not mine I still greatly care about them.

When I write a fanfiction I make sure to give credit where credit is due when it comes to these characters. Sotus characters are owned by the amazing author Bittersweet and 2 moons is owned by another amazing author named Chiffon Cake.

After finding out that my plot and my story from the book cover down to my username was being used I was shocked. My covers have all been done by

not only was my hard work stolen but so was hers. People say that imitation is the best form of flattery. On some level I agree as we fanfiction writers completely fall in love with these characters and wish to explore more of them using our imagination. I have no problem with that. If one day I become what I hope to be, which is an author on a much larger scale where my books are on a shelf I would not mind my characters used in fanfiction.

This is how I got my start and I am not ashamed of it. But when someone plagiarizes a story from top to bottom stealing someone's hards work. That is another case. This is where Trueyenfun comes in.

For those who are not aware this is a mirrored site. Meaning anything I post on my stories is automatically posted on to theirs. I am not hacked and neither are the rest of the authors on this site. But this website had taken our work and uploaded to theirs. They are not only copying our work but wattpad essentially.

When I think about the other writers. The ones who have a larger following and those that are getting paid for their work I feel upset for them. This is a form of income for them too and those people are taking this from them. Then there are the smaller writers such as myself and others who are still starting hoping to get reads and feedback things that are being stolen from that site.

This is unfair to everyone and because I know this will be copied on to that site I am posting this on all of my stories. For those of you that are reading it on that site, I won't lie and say that I am not upset but this. I urge you to not use it as you risk viruses on your computer or phone and you are also helping a site that is stealing my hard work and everyone else's hard work. For my fellow wattpad writers, I urge you to leave disclaimer on your stories and post a chapter such as this to let those who read on Trueyenfun that they are reading our plagiarized work.

As for that sight. Whoever runs it should be ashamed of themselves. Wattpad allows everyone to read and write no matter what part of the world they are in. If they wanted to post stories they could have written some of their own. If they wanted a site like wattpad they could have created something from scratch. The people that helped create wattpad also put hard work into this site in order to keep it running. Wattpad is not perfect but it is a home to a lot of writers and readers who support one another. I had never found a site like this on that allowed me to interact with my readers and fellow writers on such a scale as this one.
