He allowed the weight of him to sink her into the bed and he rested his head in the crook of her neck. His lips feathered a kiss to her collar bone.
Her limbs felt so heavy she closed her eyes and tried to catch her breath.
Maddox lay on top of her for several moments before she felt him move.
"Fuck," he muttered.
"What?" she asked, opening her eyes to see him studying the condom.
"It broke."
Her heart felt like it had made a somersault out of her chest and splattered onto the floor.
She recoiled in horror. This couldn't be happening.
