According to Raghavan's mother saratha, wealth and status are more important than love and care. If she spoke respectfully to anyone, they would be equal or superior to her fortune. She considered as a shame to talk to the people of lower status than her. We cannot expect humanity or love from her side. She is the perfect example of arrogance and ruthlessness. In the other word, we can say that raghavan got his arrogance, dominance, and ruthlessness from his mother.

Saratha is a someone who does not hesitate to destroy whoever comes in her way. That's how, she chased away raghavan girlfriend maya by executing many intrigues and schemes. Her scheming nature and heartless behaviour brought a huge crack between her and her son raghavan relation. Even after earning her own son's hatred, she doesn't seem to stop her arrogance and ruthlessness.

Thus, she did everything to maintain her status and prestige till to the day. To be so, raghavan married harshika who is worked as a servant in their mansion, in a way that to shatters her objection and principles. She felt as her son marriage with mere servant was to affront her worth and to test her zeal.

As the result of unable to tolerate her son marriage with harshika, she burned harshika with her gaze and stormed towards her furiously and stated in a disgust tone,

“ You fatty maid !!.. How dare you enter my house ?. Did you forget who you are ?. “

Harshika bowed her head down as the result of raghavan mother blazing gaze and words. Meanwhile, grandma tried to stop her daughter-in-law saratha by holding her hand and whispering something into her. However, saratha didn't seem to respect or agree to grandma's words.

On the other hand, Raghavan took a deep breath by seeing his mother drama. Before raghavan tries to respond to his mother's humiliating and angry words, his grandma beat up this attempt and tried to pacify his mother. Therefore, he cleared his throat to make harshika to look up at him, with the thought that his grandma would pacify his mother anyway. He gestured harshika to follow him through his eyes and entered into the house, when harshika looked up at him as he expected.

By noticing raghavan gesture, harshika nodded and followed raghavan and enter into the mansion. Harshika enters mansion with thinking that if she refuses raghavan, she would have to face raghavan rage. But, she doesn't think that his mother will be more cruel than him.

Saratha was annoyed by her mother-in-law attempts to pacify her. Therefore, she argued back with her mother-in-law, unable to agree with her mother-in-law words. As she was arguing, she spotted harshika entering into the house regardless of her warning. By seeing harshika entering home, her anger spiked up and made her to move near to harshika and pushed her down on the floor.

Harshika, who did not expect raghavan's mother would behave like this, fell down on the floor, unable to support herself. Tears filled up in her eyes as pain shot up to her leg and hands. The gathered tears begin to find out their own way through her cheeks after hearing raghavan mother despicable words,

“You bloody bitch. How dare you to neglect my warning. After all, you are just a maid. You got courage to disobey my words. See, what I'm doing to do ?. I thought you leave after my warning. But, now I am not going to leave you that much easily. I will show you what will happen if you disobey saratha words. You.”

By hearing raghavan mother insulting words, harshika was too ashamed to even lift up her head. She knows very well that this is what will happen if she comes home to a raghavan house, that's why she hesitates to agree with grandma words. She knows that no one would accept her apart from grandma, and others would treat her miserably.

Realizing that there was no point in facing further humiliation here, harshika decided to leave RN mansion rather than facing further humiliation and disgrace, and also she was determined that she should not change her decision for anyone.

Harshika determination and thoughts were dissolved by raghavan shouting,

“STOP IT, MOM.. ENOUGH.. YOU CROSSED THE LIMIT. WHO GIVE YOU RIGHTS TO SPEAK LIKE THIS TO MY WIFE ?. FIRST OF ALL, YOU REMEMBER THIS. SHE IS NOT A MAID. SHE IS MY WIFE. SHE IS MRS. HARSHIKA RAGHAVAN. SHE IS THIS HOUSE DAUGHTER IN LAW. SHE HAS EVERY RIGHTS TO COME THIS HOUSE. WHO ARE YOU TO STOP HER FROM ENTERING HER OWN HOUSE ?. THIS IS MY FIRST AND LAST WARNING. I WON'T TOLERATE IF ANYONE TREATS MY WIFE BADLY. I AM SAYING THIS TO EVERYONE. KEEP THIS IN YOUR MIND. IF ANYONE SPEAK OR TREAT MY WIFE BADLY, THEN YOU WILL HAVE TO FACE MY WRATH. “

While hearing raghavan statement, harshika mood lightened. Harshika felt intense happiness in heart, every time raghavan stated proudly that she is his wife. She looked up him with gratitude filled eyes when he wiped her tears and helped her to stand up.

Harshika yelped in pain when she stands on her feet. Harshika struggled to stand on her own due to pain which she felt on her right foot. Noticing it, raghavan kneed and checked her foot regardless of others presence in the hall.

Raghavan, who was always rude and cold, being so kind to her seemed like a dream to harshika. Harshika would not say that raghavan had not been kind to her before because she was fully convinced that whenever he had done so before, he was acting.

Now seeing Raghavan's behaviour, it seemed to harshika that he was not acting. Moreover, he don't need to act in front of his staff and mother. It seemed to Harshika that everything raghavan had said angrily to his mother for her and was being kind to her was genuine.

The grandmother was stood with broken heart unable to stop her daughter-in-law from insulting harshika. However, raghavan's supporting words for harshika, gave her extreme happiness. Moreover, she was sure that raghavan would not let anything happen to harshika in his house and he will protect her like a shield from his mother and others. She looked at raghavan who is checking harshika foot with care and love, with boundless joy and happiness.

On the other hand, saratha gnashed her teeth in vexation. She just wished to grab harshika hair and throw her out of the house. She swallowed her frustration and remained silent as she realized that repeating her hatred in front of raghavan would not bring her any good.

Raghavan felt stabbing pain in his heart by seeing harshika who is looking at him with tear filled eyes. Her tears showed him how much pain she was in. He always persistent that her eyes should always expose happiness, not a hurt or grief. However, contrary to his persistent, he is always being a reason for her tears and pain. His insatiable hatred for his mother increased when he thought that his mother was the cause of her pain.
